@@slowerpicker great to hear from you! Turns out the levered bridge won't work. There is not sufficient vertical clearance. I have found a different solution that involves cutting into the top plate. I'll share video with progress soon.
I have my doubts about what the results are going to be. The drum skin on your banjo acts like a resonator cone in itself. I think the only way to get something different would be to fit the resonator cone inside the banjo in a way that it sits 2 inches below the skin, and then drill some 1 inch holes out of the body between the resonator cone and banjo skin. Don't bother with the shiny cover cos it will only restrict the skins resonance. Good luck with this unusual project.
Waiting to see the new videos
Fun project. Your enthusiasm for instrument mashups is inspiring! I bet your levered bridge idea will produce some neat results.

Geeking out is the best. 😊
Have fun with this project!
@@musicalintentions thank you! Great to hear from you. I've made some progress and am preparing a video.
Can't wait to hear it
This is a challenging build

@@penfold7800 thanks for sharing your thoughts! I'll share the progress. The banjo head itself will be removed entirely.
