Great tutorial! Although I wouldn't use Image Trace. It gets rid of all of the nice little subtleties of the image and leaves harsh small vectors instead. I'd add color using photoshop's gradient map. Otherwise, great stuff!
Soo many ways in Photoshop to tile images. Just Google it. There is the offset method, cloning and stamping border edges. I think there is even a 'tile' or 'seamless' function in Photoshop now
