This thing is ridiculous... and I love it.
Awesome stuff. Cannot wait to see how it progresses and hopefully more collaborating between rtr and Ford performance on ev stuff. Bet anything rtr is the first out with sick ad ons for the mach-e next year! 😁

It's really cool to see the technical stuff. thanks for making this video! Would be cool to see a hub mounted motor up front so you could still potentially drift with awd(not that you really have to).I feel like you could really get the weight of this thing down by finding some higher hp motors though. 7 motors and quick changes must weight a ton. This thing weighs 6k lbs doesn't it? It's not to knock it by any means but there are some AC motors out there that you can pair with a LSD or spool that make the power of the three of those and then you wouldn't need the quick changes either. Would take longer to swap gear ratios but it could still be done. They could take the current too, it's the batteries and cooling that have to be top notch. Does it use a high voltage ac compressor to cool the coolant? I wish I had budget to make something like this. Incredible!

It's loud as hell though.
You can keep your electric Mustang, I'll stick to my 2015 GT Prem PP and my 2018 Focus ST, they recharge so much faster. A minute and a half or so at the pump and I'm ready to go. Some day in the future things may be different, batteries with higher energy density, quicker recharge times but for now I'll be sticking with the petrol fueled engines. Oh yeah, they also tend to last for a very long time if cared for properly even if they're stored and not used much. I don't think that would ever be the case with a battery powered vehicle. Had a 1986 Turbo Coup, 29 years old, 5400 miles or so, still ran like new with never anymore that regular maintenance. Tell me that'd be likely with one of your electric pieces of, well I'll let the readers fill in what they think is most appropriate there.
No Electric For Me unless it a toaster, mixer, stove or something connected to a wire.
OH, I almost forgot, I'll bet the battery in these cars cost more than the engine in a petrol powered one. FoMoCo Please forget about them for now!

Federal warranty requirements for battery electric vehicles. Require an 8 year 100,000 mile guarantee. Some manufacturers already offer lifetime coverage on both battery&power train for the original owner.
You have a point on refueling time. But you also cannot put a fuel pump at your house, condo etc. But an evse you can have their. Some utilities even help pay for installing it to. Offer discounted electricity, or even free electricity (mine offers me 200kwhs a month free.
There is a tax credit for installing a charger. That covers 1/3rd the cost. Up to $2000 total.
Also brakes last longer, no oil changes, no emissions tests, no belts to worry about breaking. And much cheaper overall maintenance costs with an electric. So far studies have shown between 100,000-150,000 miles. It's only 30-50% of an ice vehicle.

Sadly there will be racing series around these if they can get batteries to last 15-20 laps. Until then its just a demo/time attack show car. Untol then we're still safe with comparable cars like Rob Dahm's awd 1200 hp 4 rotor for now.
