- Richard Allen's former attorneys are asking the Indiana Supreme Court to reinstate them and have Judge Fran Gull removed from the Delphi Murders Case. Gull previously announced that Allen's attorneys would be withdrawing, but now attorneys Andrew Baldwin and Bradley Rozzi say they were forced to resign. Do people not understand that Richard Allen's rights are just as important as the victim's rights? Remember, he might be a victim as well. That's the entire point to making sure someone's rights are upheld - innocent people need to walk free.
In the event that he is both guilty and he is found guilty, we will never be able to trust the verdict if his rights were violated on the way to convicting him. How is that justice for the families and the victims? There’s no closure in that.
People instantly jump up to get the pitchforks as soon as an arrest is made in a crime this heinous. Everyone gets so lost in putting anger toward the accused, they forget that its a process to figure out what happened. And that everyone has the right to a fair trial and competent representation. I want to see someone locked up forever for this as much as the next guy, but lets not trample over someones right to due process to get there. Just my two cents.

I agree, but if his attorneys have violated client-attorney privilege by. disclosing evidence to 3rd parties, she has No choice to remove them as court appointed counsel, or that creates an automatic appeal, if found guilty,, and a trial circus all over again.

That third party trespassed to parts of the office they were not allowed and took photos before sending them out. One guy knew he was so in the wrong he killed himself for goodness sake.
Now if you think the lawyers are not victims and are instead secret collaborators - that's fine! But they are innocent until proven guilty in their own trial for negligence and dereliction of duty so if Richard Allen wants them to continue to represent him that's HIS right!

I do believe she’s a member of the good ol boy system they have up there and the defense is making all her buddies in law enforcement and prosecution look horrible so they want them gone and she’s trying to get it done for them. Well she's been trying to get on the Supreme Court and I believe there's going to be sets open in the Supreme Court in 2024 I believe... so maybe why she's trying so hard to hold to this case but I doubt she gets one of sets since her conduct here lately

The other attorneys violated Attorney-Client privilege by sharing case info with 3rd parties, this is an automatic appeal, which the Judge is trying to avoid.

Greenlee has no background in criminal law. He's an intellectual property attorney (completely unrelated area of practice)--that's basically the same as being a paralegal. Yes, he threw himself at the mercy of the court and was assigned court-appointed attorneys: Baldwin and Rozzi. Then, the judge ripped those attorneys away from him! Even when they tried to come back and work for free she wouldn't let them. Instead, she picked a couple of her buddies from Allen County that RA did not ask for and did not want! Learn what you are talking about! When @reeva5735 was talking, she was writing to people familiar with the basic facts of the situation (which you clearly are not), and the meaning of her comment was perfectly clear to such people! If a defendant asks for court-appointed attorneys, she can pick them. But once that attorney-client relationship is formed, the judge cannot simply sever it at her whim. She can only do so if it turns out the attorney is not an attorney (gets suspended, disbarred, etc.) or if a conflict develops, and even this requires a DQ hearing with advance notice!

But this judge cut out the proper process. Their names did not land on her desk from the system...SHE undercut the system and appointed them improperly! No way! They're the reason crime scene photos were leaked, and this whole farce has been the defense attorney's attempt to distract from that.
Everybody's jumping on the bandwagon and believing them, but there are always two sides to a story.
Just because the girls filmed a "guy on a bridge" does not mean Richard Allen is the guy that did this to them. Me and my friend would take pics of strange people and laugh and make stories about them later. The real person that did this left the phone there for that reason. They had a patsy. If there wasn't a picture of a "guy on the bridge" on the phone, my hunch is that the phone would have been thrown in the river. The judge should be removed from this case and RA's attorneys should be reinstated. RA should also be out with an ankle monitor or something. He is not being treated as "Innocent until proven guilty." Quite the opposite.
They didn't just film a man walking alone. We hear and see a small snippet of the clip. (We have known this for years now. It's not new news). More was on that clip, the man directing them to where their bodies were found, and mentioning the man's weapon. So get that part straight before you go on and on with your opinions and assumptions.

You have the so-called killer supposedly walking towards the camera, and yet LE in their profound wisdom decides to just let us get that little half-second snippet of video and two-three seconds of audio?! The man says "Down the hill." That is far from "directing them to where their bodies were found." That would be, "Guys, down the hill, cross that raging river, and please don't run away from me while I am practically drowning trying to get across this river for absolutely no reason whatsoever." You know perfectly well that video is suspicious in the extreme. If it showed the actual killer walking towards the camera, and LE actually wanted the killer caught, they would have shown that full video from day one! Why allow such dynamite identifying evidence to remain tucked away? It is extremely suspicious that the killer would leave the phone there, wanting it to get found. Your beliefs on this matter are absurd, and yet you have the audacity to behave so presumptuously. It is far more believable that the killer only left that phone there to be found because he was sure its contents would send LE or the public on a wild goose chase!

The person who killed them might of not known they were being recorded and we haven’t seen the entire video. Also, the police showed us a mash up. The audio and video don’t go together.
The judge appointed her fb friend that she's been friends with and he seems to be friends with more then just one gull on his fb ... and the other lawyer already spoke negatively on the case ... she violated his rights
So... It sounds like even if the judge's rules stay and they do get a guilty verdict... He's already got 1,2,3 appeals in the bag.
I hope this judge is taken off, relocate him to another jail and let his original lawyer come back. I hope these girls get justice
If RA can represent himself, I see no reason why he can't have the lawyers he chose, especially since they're offering to do it for free. The judge has created reasonable doubt for me especially with all the other things we've learned about this case. Judge should be removed at bare minimum
Public defenders aren't lawyers chosen by you. Public defenders are lawyers chosen by the state. They aren't offering to do it for free, it's their job and they have a contract of some sort. That is the bare basics of public defenders and you don't even understand that..... what are you doing here??

@Monica-hv4rf But Rozzi and Baldwin filed back in as pro bono private counsel, so they aren't PDs anymore. They DID offer to do it free. This is even mentioned in the video and filed on the docket.

I think the Defense Lawyer stumbled into something bigger than they expected. By how this case has been handled, I think there is something to this Odinism and it might be unearthing skeletons in the closest that goes high in the local/regional government.

Whether he is innocent or not, he should have a fair trial! And this includes getting the lawyers of his choice.
What worries me the most is that Richard Allen is too short to be bridge guy. FBI made calculations of Bridge Guys height according to the video and Allen is not within the possible height range.

Sadley, The author of Up The Hill and Murder Sheet, are just as intertwined in this whole thing. They received leaked information. The date of release of these crime scene photos are suspect. We need to know when the photos were leaked as apposed to when they were publicized.
Somebody needs to take a hard look at that and go back even a year when some private investigator was on courttv claiming to have crime scene photos. As they say, something stinks in Delphi…

Richard Allens rights are not being honoured in my opinion. He is innocent until proven guilty, why is Brian Kohberger in court in a suit and tie, no handcuffs and Richard Allen is in chains and whatever else is on him to restrain . There is a huge difference in treatment there.!!

Never forget the October 19th court date, where Gull,for the only time ever allowed TV cameras in, then had Doug Carter and his 'Brownshirts' march in, all choreographed for the cameras as she was about to embarrass Allen's lawyers, over something, that the trail leads straight back to 'Slick Nick' McLellan...Joe Luis has the evidence, he's got the international media involved, because the local/State media seem to be in on the corruption?
P.S; When has a captive of the State ever been given extra long SHOE LACES to wear? Look at RA's feet on his October 31st appearance, they really do want this man never to stand trial,so they can bury this case with him...start paying attention people, this is how a banana republic operates...not just political opponents they go after!

The judge is a joke. Regardless if she is indeed doing the best for the accused, she went about it in a less than transparent way and will be the source of legitimate reasons for an appeal or an overturned conviction. There needs to be justice for the victims, their families, the town of Delphi and Richard Allen. This is not what justice looks like. Very sad. Unacceptable.
Imho, this judge should recuse herself from this case, and a new judge should take over. I also think that RA should be allowed to have his lawyers back and that he is moved from a high security prison to a county jail. In order for there to be a fair trial, RA’s rights need to also be honored.

RA had ZERO history of abuse of women. He is a kind father and husband, close with his mother. He has NO history of sadism. He. did. not. do. this. full stop. To take his chosen attorneys from him - shameful.
I completely agree that he should get his attorneys and the judge needs to be replaced. However, just because someone doesn’t have a known history of abuse doesn’t mean they can’t be a killer. Think of all the other murderers where everybody says things like “He was such a nice family man” or the murderer’s spouse & kids had no idea they were living with a serial killer. I can’t say whether Richard is guilty or innocent yet. He hasn’t gone through a proper trial & he 100% deserves that.
We saw the link and the motive in the 136 page memorandum... Logan Holder/Abby, whose father Brad knows Mike Patty well...that girl was told something that was supposed to have been kept secret, she's told her best friend... and it's got back to grandpops...the rest is history, the set up and the lies began, a coordinated effort by multiple people to silence 2 girls who knew too much...a race hate crime,at the end of the day,the killing of 4 little black girls in Flora...is RA involved, I very much doubt it, he went everywhere with his wife,when she wasn't at work?

@22:20 how does the crime scene leak harm Allen’s rights? He had nothing to do with the crime, it would only be prejudicial if he had actually committed the murders making him look bad. Allen’s rights were breached when the Odin guards were eavesdropping and filming his privileged meetings which were supposed to be private. The sabotage of their plan for a speedy trial is what we are seeing now because of that breach of attorney/client privilege. The crime scene photos have no connection whatsoever to do with Allen, other than in the mind of the prosecutor, they were even leaked nearly a year ago originally.

Why should the defense team stay when they created a false conspiracy theory about an odin cult in delphi spanning 75 plus miles across Indiana all.the way to that prison and then they leaked sensitive photographs of the murders on social media out of their own incompetence and then they quit??? I’ve always wondered why the perp didn’t obtain and destroy the cell before going down the hill? He followed them for awhile and they used the cell numerous times. I wonder how many have handled the cell once it left Libby’s hands? What was down the hill? Will the jury wonder if anyone was waiting besides the man on the bridge? This is such a sad case on many levels. I’m glad some have shown integrity and compassion. We want it done right and all those who did wrong be the right ones as well. No room for mistakes. I really like these crime chat! Keep it up. I can't get enough of it. I also feel like the alleged is innocent more and more. You'd think 1 hiccup it would be an honest mistake but when you look at the timeline, it seems like there is an accumulation of bad evidence and shady dealings and it seems like it's getting worse. The judge has to go for sure. Even if he's found guilty, there is enough for an appeal. I wouldn't trust a guilty verdict unless the defense lawyer is reinstated and the whole case be tried at a different location.

When the lawyers said they would work pro bono and the judge still denied it, told me everything I needed to know about her. She’s on a god trip and is jeopardizing this case, time for her to be removed.
It could pose an appellate issue if she let's them back on. If he is found guilty, he could later appeal on the grounds of ineffective assistance of counsel.

Huh? They admitted they were the source of the leak. They said they were "snookered" by a close friend that should have been no where near confidential case materials.
For one they were court appointed attorneys not privately hired attorneys and for two they leaked sensitive photographs to the public out of their own incompetence and were deemed incompetent to be his attorneys and for three they quit and four richard allen can't afford to hire attorneys but if he could they would let him hire different attorneys that were not deemed incompetent already to this case!

@@raptorman48That they are appointed counsel usually only matters, re the sixth amendment right, when a client wants to fire the attorney. You can’t pick and choose which public defender you receive. But that doesn’t open the door for the trial judge to unilaterally remove appointed counsel. In any event, that issue is moot because both attorneys have offered to represent him pro-bono, which does implicate his sixth amendment rights. On what grounds were the attorneys found “incompetent”? (She actually found them grossly negligent..) What case law in Indiana establishes that gross negligence is the standard for removal of appointed counsel against a clients wishes? Only one of the attorneys withdrew, and they are on record that that withdrawal was coerced. For someone paying attention, you sure missed a lot.
The defense team should have had opportunity to deal with the leak without the judge 'firing' them. That doesnt seem right. It should have been investigated and the person responsible held accountable but to not follow the judicial proceedure seems to go with the idea that she is excersing a bias.
I think this guy is innocent! Why would the judge be so threatened by his attorneys. However, saying that, I wish to extend my deepest condolences to the families of the victims and hope they find justice.!

I said this before, for a change i feel like the prosecution is manipulating the case and being unfair. Let Richard Allen have his lawyers back,the trial be taken to another state or remove the current judge. It can't be a fair trial with everything we know.

There’s definitely a lack of transparency when it came to this whole withdrawing-of-defense-counsel thing. Judge Gull made it sound like they withdrew voluntarily. Not the case, apparently. I can understand her being unhappy, even irate, that the crime photos were leaked, but sua sponte removal seems inappropriate; I’d think there would have to at least be a hearing.
I am so sick of Murder Sheet being treated like the end all be all of facts on this case.

There seems to be a complete lack of transparency in Delphi across the board. This is going beyond the preservation of guilt knowledge (which is moot at this point really). If they believe they have the right guy, transparency cannot possibly hurt their cause, only help it. Stop with the secrets in Delphi!
