Thanks, this is my machine! I’ve had it for 30 years, and the tension has just started to get wonky. I began a search online, and am delighted to have found this series of videos. I’m going to try your suggestions and see what happens.

Love the videos with Bryan on the sewing machine and the serger. So great! I've made sure to post to the Missouri Start Quilt Co. Forum. Lots of sewers there who often have problems, questions, etc. Thanks again. Rebecca

Just found your videos as have bought an old Globe machine which looks just like yours. I’m in NZ. I am struggling with getting the tensions correct but thanks - these videos are great.

I only yesterday replaced the loopers Nylon drive gear in my White 534. I had to totally remove a shaft (no easy task) which of course caused all loopers timing to be lost. The service manual was little help, so I had to reestablish the two loopers timing by trial and error. I “got ‘er done”, after about three hours for the complete job.

Is there anyway to change stitch WIDTH on this machine. I know you can change stitch length but not width...

Good video. Would like to have seen an example of what a serged edge with the proper tension looks like in comparison with the sample Brian serged.

I tried to show it with the red line on the still graphic. The machine he had wouldn't balance sorry.

Waste of time you should have just said take it to a service center and end the video. Yes I want to just pay $250. For service for a loose threader.I’ll just buy a new one for under $500.
