The issue is that, while anyone who watches you sees the developer's name and figures it out, others didn't and thought you were just salty. Thanks for explaining!
Ah yes, the idea of creating your own levels in Super Mario games! That kind of power must be used responsibly, but instead we get levels like this one.
My least favourite Mario Maker levels are the automatic ones. In the first game, they started as a cool idea, but once newcomer creators noticed the automatic levels got the most likes for their visuals and sheer effort when it comes to Mario reaching the goalpost, they started following suit so frequently that they lost their appeal, making any Easy 100 Mario challenge or even playing the top ranked stages unbelievably boring. Thankfully, the tags of the sequel finally let me avoid them.
Merry Christmas, Whoisthisgit! Man, do I feel you on this one. Making a level in a level creator is a lot harder then it seems to be. Props to anyone who can do it well, because I really can’t.
I remember I made the level "Obama World" on MM1 and then transposed it to MM2, and there is no way you can humanly beat it without downloading it specifically to study it. I do this to get my urge of making hideous levels out so I don't put things like that in levels that I have potential to do well. Anyways, great to see a video on the 24th, Merry Christmas!
Lessons to learn from this level, start with a relatively safe environment at the start of the level, one that doesn’t have a pixel perfect jump, have breathers between challenges, design your level to be intuitive to see where to go next and finally make each step easy at first before adding complications. Those are important pillars of Mario level design
Hello, DGR fans who are coming here off his most recent video! Git acknowledges it himself in a pinned comment, but please note, Lub Lub is essentially Git's channel mascot (see the profile pic and banner), and often shows up in Git's intros and outros. Consequently, this does mean that Git's video here is essentially a giant troll upon himself, while DGR wasn't aware of "Lub Lub is Git." But hey, while you're here, stick around and check out Git's other content, he's been at this for years and is definitely worth a watch!
Why, Lub Lub? Why? You get levels like this in Mega Man Maker too, though sometimes at least you get a subweapon (like the Jet or the Treble Boost) that'll let you skip over the most asinine parts of the stage.
at first I thought you would include the story mode courses, but I guess it would just be funny because they're not the worst but mediocre in the series due to how bland they are
Ah yes. Worst Levels Ever and Mario Maker. How did this not happen before? I mean, this game is known both for the most big brain Mario levels to have been made...and the most enemy spam, trash Mario levels to have been made as well.
I remember your previous videos about your Mario Maker levels. Literally thought of them halfway through this one, should've seen that twist coming. 😂 Merry Christmas, Git! Always a good time watching your videos.
Laughs in SMBX bullet hell custom levels (yes those exist) What was Redigit smoking when he made Mario Maker but you can create custom enemies, obstacles and such.
Ah yes, the “the truely worst level comes from your own demented mind” play, bravo. Imo Rubberross is the 大魔王 or Great Demon King if you will, in this regard
And that’s why I try to make fun levels instead. So far the main one I did was a choose your path kind of level. You can either swim through one path (that’s mostly dark), fly through one, or stick to the one thats on land.
Man, don’t loose confidence in yourself in level making. Personally I take notes from actual Mario levels and try to put my own spin/idea into it. Great levels take time, and there’s nothing wrong with taking notes from other creators, or Nintendo themselves. Believe yourself, my man.
The worst Mario maker levels are the ones who tries to be like one of those kaizo levels , but poorly made , like in a way it requires extreme precision + dumb luck to clear.
merry Christmas. This level is stupid and I hate it. Have seen worse levels, and guess who made them? Yeah I made it “as a joke” but it’s still torture and you know it
I think there must be a system when your level gets 20 boos it will be deleted. If your account's levels get 1000 boos altogether you will be suspended for 1 week. Get suspended 3 times? You can only make an alt account. You can also report levels so they won't be added to endless runs.
This reminds me of a level from Mario Maker 1 which was a messy maze of precise jumps littered with all sorts of distracting enemies and level elements which made the whole thing confusing on top of stupidly difficult. The REAL kicker, however, was the sub world, which consisted of five nearly identical rooms with slight variations in the enemy placement. The fact that it was such a mess made it difficult to understand how to beat it, even when looking in the editor. Working backwards from the ending, you needed to enter a specific pipe into a room filled with fast conveyors and giant paratroopas. The ceiling is made of a ton of bricks, so you need to use the P switch to jump out of the room over the wall. It’s a blind jump, so you have to guess that the platform is in the middle. Then a series of invisible blocks will lead to a vertical shaft which leads downwards to a long corridor full of big jumps across lava pits which requires a classic Yoshi sacrifice. Then the pipe at the end leads to victory. Literally the worst level I’ve ever seen in my entire life.
Great video, I like the "narration" and everything. But why oh why would you consider this worth your time if it's so frustrating? What motivates you to keep trying when it's way more frustrating than fun?
You know... I've been watching this channel for some years. And I've been wondering - Who are what is lub lub? That aside, for the end of 2021: I've gotta say that I really like your videos. There is something about only having the gameplay and it's sounds paired with your text most of the time. I feel myself returning here every now and then. I did got caught off for a while because of one of your creepy endings videos. I honestly don't want to drop the name of the game here, even though it could make people curios to look for it, because I don't want too much people to stumble across similiar feelings. But it'd be obvious to those who warched it. For some reason this was the single only time where I really really thought that I should not google it. I did become curios eventually and decided to watch at least the beginning of a game over screen compilation. The first few just felt so... Idk. Maybe it is the uncanny valley effect. But it's put in such a bizarre place between reality and fiction that I feel hard to handle. Just seeing these few long seconds doesn't even want me to believe that the even worse screens you mentioned in particular can be that much worse. And when imagining what could make it so much worse it's almost even creepier. In the end the entire look and style of this game is probably the single most scary experience I ever had. Kinda makes me wonder how I can handle RE and shit but not this. Pherhaps it's because its kept just in that spot of being realistic enough.
I can admit I've made levels dumb enough in this game that they could be listed as some of the "worst levels ever". Take my worst stage so far, a speedrun level in the Ghost House theme *at night.* Thankfully, I learned from my mistakes and erased all of my levels except one. At least I grew to realize how obnoxious my levels could be...
Yeah I think that is a big take away from the game and it isn't even the game itself, mainly most of the creators. This game mainly revolves around two people: The younger age group that often make levels by just slapping random things together (usually a swarm of enemies) and the end isn't that far away. And the older age group who tend to be more "hardcore" players that just love to make Kaizo-related levels. Problem with those if you're one of the younger age group without much experience in Kaizo-related levels, you're pretty much never going to complete those kinds of levels. Especially a lot more creative puzzle levels
I think even the creators of the levels would agree that the Bean Burrito levels have to be the worst ones in Mario Maker, as that was clearly the intention of them all anyway. Although, they're so clearly bad that you would not even need to explain why. Just show a bit of the level and the image showing the full level. That's not really fun. It's just stating the obvious. You could, however, just potentially bash specific kinds of levels, but that would probably boil down to pick-a-paths (where only one does not lead to death) and ones beaten through a secret dev door or hidden block (which would be pretty obvious...so long as you know that's what happened).
I'd just like this make this clear: this is a joke video, this is my level I made myself and thought it would be funny to attack myself over it.
Hi lub lub
oh! this explains a few things
Nice one, I thoght your vid was a good and funny self critic !
The issue is that, while anyone who watches you sees the developer's name and figures it out, others didn't and thought you were just salty. Thanks for explaining!
I like that you perhaps unintentionally trolled DGR the guy who makes a living playing troll levels lol.
A "Worst Levels Ever" video about Mario Maker levels would take over an hour.
So I'm glad it's only 10 minutes here.
video where he tells us to send our level ids and to make a video and then he splits the Worst Levels Ever video into 5 parts, all 20 minutes
You could talk about horrible levels from Mario Maker 1 and/or 2 until the heat death of the Universe and not scratch the surface.
@@jruler93 as long as Uncleared levels still exist, there will be a level which is gonna be banned in approximately 18 countries

Ah yes, the idea of creating your own levels in Super Mario games! That kind of power must be used responsibly, but instead we get levels like this one.
i think this lvl is not that bad, just a level who look simple but its not
Just like smash bros with its hella inappropriate stages.
My least favourite Mario Maker levels are the automatic ones. Thankfully, the tags of the sequel finally let me avoid them.
I never even thought about it that way. Makes sense why my one automatic level is my most popular.
imo the only truly good auto level is "36 auto patterns" where every combination of buttons leads you to the exit in one way or another.
Now you have refreshing and automatic levelers refreshing levels are basically sound effects spam
refreshing levels are worse
Merry Christmas, Whoisthisgit!
Man, do I feel you on this one. Making a level in a level creator is a lot harder then it seems to be. Props to anyone who can do it well, because I really can’t.
I think I make levels that are decent, nothing great or masterpieces but still decent but those take me FOREVER to make.
I feel the kaizo community is to blame
As awesome as it is, it inspires people to try and make their own... without getting what Kaizo are meant to be
For every one good level on Mario Maker there’s 100 enemy spam ones
Only 100? They’ve really upped the overall quality haven’t they?
And for every one of those, there’s 100 levels made by Japanese people that are overly impossible despite being traditional levels.
@@Nocturne61 and for every one of those, there’s 100 “refreshing” levels that could likely induce epileptic seizures
“I KNEW IT”
“It was myself...”
Been looking for ways to pass the time on Xmas Eve, and a Whoisthisgit video is perfect entertainment. Merry christmas to y'all.

Obama world?! What kind of deep fried shitpost of a name is that?
It really makes you feel like you're being drone striked.
9/10 it has a little something for everybody.
level code pls
Thanks, Obama World!

That plot twist, goddamn ! Also merry christmas !
Today on Friday the 24th of December 2021 at 4:39 pm, I learned that the level clear jingle is just the power up sound effect slowed down.
This kind of level is why I think there should be a blacklist on which levels can get into proper runs.
