Kon-Peki is one of my favorite blue inks. I only purchase one bottle per year, and I'm preparing to purchase my 4th bottle. I think the quality of the bottle is instrumental in the cost. The beautiful and weighty bottle can be reused.
October 6th 2020 - Yay! I finally got my Pilot Custom 823 filled with this now. Brilliant colour ink, I like it. Mind you, it’s my favourite colour so I would find it hard to dislike any Blue ink. It was hard to ‘kick out’ my favourite Tsuki yo for the Kon Peki though. 👍🏻😀
I have been on the fence about this ink for a long time. Diamine has so many beautiful colours and the cost/ml is outstanding. But, every once in awhile you do have to treat yourself. J. Herbin, even just the cheapest type us actually more expensive in Canada. It's $30 for 30 ml and Kon Peki is $39 for 50 ml. Almost 2x as much for $9 more.
I am also in Canada. The best affordable ink that is as bright and beautiful is Noodlers Navajo Turquoise. The Kon Peki is better behaved, less bleed thro. I am just as happy with Noodlers Navajo Turquoise as I write on good fountain pen paper, and it shades more than Kon Peki does.
Brilliant review, thanks, Can you explain why you added the Rhodia paper in the review? Is this purely because loads of people use it all the time, like the Tomoe River? Or was there another reason? Either way, I like the new style review and the comparison is very good to see. I am getting this to replace my KWZ Hawaii Blue when it runs out. This is where being in the UK is such a nightmare. Pesky import costs for the Hawaii Blue are horrendous. Thanks for another very well filmed review 👍🏻😀 Unless you can recommend a better Blue ink? I know you love the KWZ Turquoise ink, that could be next then.....
Your ink reviews are my favorites. You are concise. Go straight to the point and water test! Pilot has gorgeous ink colors but the price really is a turn-off.
I honestly can’t remember anymore. I’ve slept since then and am too lazy to check my purchase history. I think I only paid like $16 or $17 for it. Amazon likes me some times.
@@TheInkedWell why even respond to that? After seeing this I looked and saw you have 8 other positive comments or even questions from viewers with no response. Just something to think about
I’ve been putting the questions and other comments into another QCC video, but that keeps getting pushed back, so I’ll probably take my responses that I was going to put in that video and type them out. Long story short and not a good excuse by any means I know. As for why I responded, there are reasons. Do they matter? No, not really. Does it make it right? No. You are right about that. Did Figboot also let me know I probably shouldn’t have responded? Yes. Do I think OP needs to make a channel and put himself out there? Yes.

Spot on assessment.
I love these Iroshizuku inks. They just perform...
Very much worth the money.
Asa Goa is more attractive blue to my eye. People seem to love this one though.
normally i don’t comment on videos but this was a short and concise video with very helpful information! thanks for making this video 😁

Thanks for this review, looks like Asa Gao is still my preferred blue. Kon Peki is to light for my taste.
It looks like a highlighter. Asa Gao is underrated.

I know what exactly 5 of these words mean but this is so cool
Did they change the formulation? A lot of them newer videos make it seem much deeper!. Looking for a nice cyan ink

Maybe you could maybe just buy the 2ml samples of pilot and test them out?
Good idea
Thank you. Excellent review
There are way too many inks in the >$0.40/mL price range. Some wonderful inks, but they're pricey 😟 not as bad as Sailor's new pricing, though...
Agreed.
@@TheInkedWell I love diamine inks.
It’s just an awesome ink
I have a bad time throwing theses bottles away, they look like royal Japanese arifacts
you throw them away?!? I can't even let myself throw away cheap lamy bottles lol
just keep them! put something else in them too if you want
Well, what price did you get it for ??

Will it fade? Coz I want to write my exm with it.. So will it stay put for 3-4 months?
Yea
No.
good review....help me a lot, cause now I will not buy it. Just dont like this light blue color.
I actually hate iroshizuku. I love my Diamine and J. Herbin.
I'm constantly amazed at the atrocious penmanship of most ink reviewers. It's akin to seeing a high-end hairstylist with a bowl cut.
Start a review channel to show us how it’s done. Maybe we need to be taught by a true master such as yourself?

Never thought I’d see a pen video troll. There really is no limit to the stupidity
What does penmanship have to do with ink?
