Wow! This was a perfect video to find at this time for me. Unfortunately for me, I was involved in a pretty bad accident with my custom 2016 Charger when that first came out to which it was totaled. Luckily she saved my life ( after being hit by two cars) and just now starting to look for what I can replace her with. I obviously wanted to go back into the Charger RT 2021 which is current but I also thought about the Chrysler 300S Hemi. I think this helped my decision process a lot. Both look and sound great but I think I see one that stands out a little more. Thanks for this and keep it up!

The 300 is definitely quieter but long tube headers and the right exhaust set up will make her scream

Don’t need headers put them dynomax 24249 mufflers on it get rid of the muffler and resonators run straight pipes and that 300 will talk.

Old video I know, but they are different systems all together. The Charger has smaller, oval resonators which are lounder, stock vs stock.. Also, most RT and up have the active exhaust valves, where a 300 doesn't.
My 17 has the Mopar/Borla cat back, with the resonators removed when I did the 2015 up SRT valence. It sounds fantastic

Very nice… just took delivery 2022 Chrysler 300S V8… Chrysler does not have active exhaust from factory but still to me sounds very healthy. ( like ram 1500 hemi 5.7 V8) 👍🇺🇸🥃

Just purchased the same Chrysler 300 S setup and will be following your exhaust mods. I like the mid muffler delete sound but I think it can be improved upon. Best exhaust setup u can get is the stock 392 catback exhaust with the stock cats, mufflers, and resonators and long tube headers

I got a 2018 Chrysler 300s with the 5.7 hemi motor in it I got it modded out with the mid mustard leak resonator delete code and take Mopar and it sounds good sounds good probably better than the RT

Considering ordering a 2022 300s with the Hemi. I've got a 2018 with the 6 now. Not sure if I would want mine to be loud but, it gives me something to think about.

Did you lose performance power on your Chrysler with out having a mid muffler I’m assuming that you cut off the back mufflers and deleted the mid muffler, basically straight piping it after cats . Awesome video comparison by the way I actually put cherry bombs as my mid mufflers after the cats deleted my back resonators(mufflers) and I’m not liking it
I didn’t lose any power. I deleted the mid mufflers and kept the rear mufflers because I didn’t want it that loud
The Charger got it 💯 the 300 almost sounds like a Crown Vic jawn when it drives. It handles better doe, dey both nice buh I prefer da Charger fr

I have been looking on Autotrader at the 300's for months and wondering if it would be a good buy?
300s are totally worth it if you can find one at a decent price. Most of them may still be marked up. My only advice is.. don’t go outside of your budget for one

You should have removed the rear muffler and left the mid resonator, it will sound a lot better. It would actually sound better than the RT
Dang, I wish I would’ve known! Oh, well. I plan on doing a cat back exhaust some time soon.
Muffler is in the middle, resonators out back. " Mid Muffler " delete. The 300 exhaust is totally different than the Charger, resonators are smaller, and oval, vs regular style mufflers in the 300. Chargers also have active exhaust
@@SModelMafia i have a 06 300c awd n i did a mid muffler delete, n also put scat resonators on n it gives it a great tone‼️nasty cold idke, n nice quiet warm idle, screams down the road‼️
@@aarontj9003 Those Scat resos work well I bet. While my 17 300 S Hemi was still under warranty, they gave me an RT for the day. They are way louder than the stock 300 for sure.
I have the Mopar Stage 1 cat back, and removed the resonators when I had the tips put on for the SRT valence. It definitely sounds better.

I have a 2021 rt plus. The exhaust sounds great especially with active open. My question is what would be the best way to make it as quiet as possible without being restricted? I plan to put an electronic cut out as close to the headers as possible so I can adjust from stealthy quiet to nascar loud and everything in between. Are there extremely quiet systems that aren’t too restrictive?

The Charger has the better cold start but both sound identical on the revs.That 300 needs a Borla s catback. 😎

The if you want to sound louder delete the pan cake muffler run them Dynomax 24249 mufflers . They are straight thru. Delete them resonators in back run straight pipes all the way back with 5” pipes. It will be a true Dual . I have a 2005 300 but, the charger sounded deeper from jump you where in the Garage when you turned on your car and your sounds good but, the charger didn’t have to punch the gas at all to get the sound. You were punching the gas to make it louder. At idle the 300 was quiet. Ive heard five different set ups for the300 . The 300 has to much junk under the bottom holding them Back. Two converters , pan cake muffler and two resonators at the back . Get them straight thru mufflers you will see a big difference. Make it a true Dual then you don’t have to punch it.

I've always wondered with those valve controlled exhausts do they damage the car sending the hot gas up the midsection of the car? Even the areas where it's just piping you have heat shielding.
Good question! I’ve never heard of any issues with it. But, I suppose it’s possible. I’ll have to look in to that further.
Any "Check Engine" light come on after the mid muffler delete???

I wonder does doing a muffler delete to a straight pipe kill factory warranty??? Like powertrain?
My understanding is: Only if they can prove that your issue is a direct result of the modification
& even then I don’t believe it would void the entire warranty.. just wouldn’t cover that particular repair. But always best to research for yourself to be sure before making the change

Mind you, you can install a Dodge Charger Hellcat/Scat Pack Exhaust System on your Chrysler 300S V8, bolts right up, they share the same LD Platform (2011-Present is LD, not LX, that's 2005-2010) so you can be able to have the same exact system as the Charger R/T you guys have, which essentially the exhaust system on y'all's Charger R/T came straight off of the Scat Packs and the Hellcats from the factory, from the Headers/Manifolds, to the Catalytic Converter Midpipes, down to the Catback, hence why it sounds alot louder and deeper than the 300S

Kevin, depends on the Charger. Most 15 up V8 models have the active exhaust, so it's not able to bolt up without adding the valves, or pipe

(The car not allowing you to rev the car at idle pass a set rpm)
Yeah, I believe it’s 4,000 RPM’s. But, I rarely ever rev in idle anyways. So, it doesn’t bother me too much.
