Land Rover D110 by Himalaya - ISSIMI DRIVES

- The Land Rover Defender is one of the most iconic vehicles ever made and it earned its reputation serving landowners domestically in the UK, British Empire, and other far flung territories overseas. The original Land Rover was introduced in 1948, and was developed continuously until finally being phased out in 2016, a remarkable 67-year production run that cemented the reputation of Land Rover as a manufacturer of durable workhorse vehicles that were nearly unstoppable in even the roughest conditions. Rebranded as the Defender in the 1980s, the vehicle’s anachronistic character ultimately became one of its selling points and helped a resurgence in interest which has driven the Defender to become genuinely collectible.
On this Episode of ISSIMI DRIVES, Lorenzo pins the Himalaya against an original 1987 "Ninety" to highlight the differences.

We are so back
Love to see the fresh new action back in this channel. Wonderful content! 😊
More to come!
@@ISSIMIOfficialgood to hear!
Great ❤
Much better thanks !!
What a beast. If it was affordable I would have gotten one.
So, this is the new 'BTS with DTS', but without DTS?
Sleek design, stylish work.
Great vehicles, good info, but this has none of the magic and raw enjoyment that DTS brought.
Useless power, terrible handling, cheap interior for $300k, what a joke … the original is the real value
just imagine what options are available for 300k. boncus
They lost me at automatic transmission...and 300k
Compared to Twisted, Arkonik and Bowler, it's a joke indeed.
Mercedes G WAGON AMG is a waaaaaay superior alternative
body tua, mesin+interior baru : idaman
That cool
Seen @ you guys grand opening. Beautiful truck
Did you just call the Defender "SUV"?
Y'all aint corny...
I love the Double-Cab 110! I can see the Himalayan version in my head. With a derelict-style body instead of the fancy paint job!
300K is so the execs at the company can have mansions
Can it be equipped with manual gearbox
1940 isn’t 60 years ago anymore it’s 80 ish lol
wooow there's a land rover with v8 swap here in my island same color here in the caribbean #grenada
The UK plate on the 90 is interesting. Showing as an original blue Defender on a search so has it been imported over and had the body swapped for a LHD? Seems like a lot of effort
I built it (HRH Imports) - this vehicle is a LHD from Italy - the plate is from a blue RHD that was a different build we did. The owner asked for a UK style plate to install on this himself as he likes the look of them. The plate and the vehicle do not match - it's for the owners own aesthetic pleasure.
@@edhorrocks I see, all makes sense. Keep up the excellent work!
@@ZeeBri thank you - for 1/6 the price of the Himalaya it's a great Defender!
LandCruiser all day.
Himalaya...

Buster read the brochure
Where's Derek ?
He started his own dealership.
You can still find him with Jason at the carmudgeon show channel, too. But ya, he left to start a dealership.
Why is it not a manual?
too much torque for the driveline
@@lucasstern1467 fair enough.
sexy vehicle, but why not to use longer hub bolts wheel hub bolts, it looks unsafe
The hub nuts came like that from the factory, on wolf HD steel wheels.Often debated. But do require 170nm when torqued.
Comparing a defender with a Tesla, time to leave the chat
The original landrovers ran their diffs off centre and inline so they could go through ruts easier. This version has the shocks hanging down like a ford ranger raptor. Credibility lost
Stop acting like la honda rd and pescadero crk rd are race tracks..lol
Why are you a cyclist? 😅😂 no but ya the road is enjoyable but not smart for anyone to be flying around it
@@stefanfreestylez I hate those damn cyclists... There next lol... Let's just say I work/drive up there for a living
@@LANDCRUISERLIFE ive only drive up and down it few dozen times when visiting a friend there. Rented gt3 on first trip and then just standard S the next time i went. Fucken what a road. I live in europe now so im use to the winding roads all over but la honda is something special with the redwoods and all. Enjoy that shit youre lucky you get to drive it everyday.🤙
MERCEDES G WAGON AMG is a superior product. Even Ineos Grenadier with a zF transmission for $85,000-$120,000.
🤩🤩🤩💪💪💪
this is not BTS with DTS...
British manufactured as a car. Americans decided its a truck. Do you need truck license or how it works?
If it weighs less than 26,000lbs, its considered a passenger vehicle. You need a regular driver’s license that most people get. If it’s a car or a truck doesn’t really matter in most states
A Defender is not a fcking "SUV". It was around before that term existed. Call it a 4x4 or a Four Wheel Drive....or just a Land Rover.
5 year old boy's haircut, but a good video nonetheless.
Hey! Bowl cuts are in.
At least he has hair.
Hair that iof the Gods and the Gibbs!
if I wanted to see yet another miserable LS/LT somewhere it doesn't belong, I'd go to the trailer park and wait for a Penske truck to get stolen, not watch ISSIMI
we need to open an LS SWAP shop for the next old POS truck to get hyped. I bet focusing on 80s and 90s street trucks now would have a huge return 2-5 years from now
Plot twist OP GF ran off with some dude with a LS swapped car that lived in a trailer park :)
Here's an idea... Don't watch the video then, and leave the enjoyment to the rest of us 🤷
I see you've made the false assumption that there's a place where an LS/LT doesn't belong :P
@@brandonsever2576 my thought exactly😅💪.
Like that LS3 swapped MkIII Mazda Miata from like 6 years ago👌
