I have owned Land Rover, BMW and Lexus. If you want to avoid expensive problems, get the Lexus. I still have my have a 2016 RX450h. Zero trouble. I am replacing it with a 2024 RX450+. My BMW GT5 gave me lots of sh!t. I'm ditching BMW for a long time. My LR Discovery 3 was just absolut crap. Gave me problems from day on. Another piece of garbage.
It's the same story for me. My Range Rover was the worst vehicle I ever owned, and my Volvo was just fair. I have had Fords, Chevy, and Buick, and all sucked. My 2010 Lexus 450H has never given me a problem. It drives well and is a refined vehicle with sufficient power in economy mode. I still drive it today. I have never had a better vehicle. I am also going to purchase the RX 450H+.
Oh riiiiiiiiiiiiiight. The mythical Toyota quality with instant reliability Sure. The tundras engines blowing up, Tacoma transmission needing to be replaced, the gh and tx recalled for airbags, the Camry having pano roof problems. That’s quality alright 😂
The only thing stopping this from being the best in its class is its price. 60-67k for this would be a home run. Have it be a fuel efficient alternative to the 500 f sport performance.
Lexus makes great seats, especially the semi aniline leather. But I will also be test driving the new Lincoln Nautilus before I make any decision and the BMW X5.
beware, run flot tire on rx450 lux, nosy and bumpy when driving over roads with tar cracks and other defects. I voiced my concerns with Lexus , I was told to let air out tires. I purchase the 450 thinking that the 350 and 450 were the same, not aware about the run flat tires.
Let's be real and brutally honest. Lexus cars are boring and lethargic. Lexus gives buyers exactly what they want.........luxury and reliability without a shred of excitement or fun. This is why people buy these cars. It has worked for them for decades. But I think eventually people are going to come to expect more, since the Koreans are making great leaps and strides in luxury and performance. Lexus will need to step it up a notch if they want to remain relevant.
Consumer reports are pushing Lexus on that agenda way too much, Toyota the 2nd place uses extremely cheap parts, which they living of the reputation from 2000s. I agree!
This is the worst midsize crossover in the segment. The competition continues to laugh and ignore its existence since in just about every way it badly falls apart Mark you shouldn’t have even wasted your time reviewing this illegitimate luxury car. Styling is not subjective as it doesn’t do anything else well. Cars like an m3 or Santa Fe have subjective styling because they more than make up for it in literally every other way
@@MilesAnastasios87 no it isn’t. It’s the worst in class. It doesn’t do anything well yet it’s overpriced Show me a category the RX is better and I’ll prove you wrong with facts
@@naveenthemachine nothing can beat a Lexus if you consider all facts together: build quality, mpg, looks, interior, price, reliability, resale value, ride quality, comfort, teq. There are cars that are better in some departments, but overall the Lexus always wins.

Absolutely brilliant car. Achieving 50+ miles in EV mode.

I very much disagree with your opinion of the exterior styling. I think it’s absolutely gorgeous.

I'd totally get it for being a luxury and reliable suv but it's pricey for sure.
the front end look like a shark head, need to reduce the grill size and add a real bumper back!
The whole thing is a bumper. They did the same thing too on the back bumper. Integrated bumpers. It’s an engineering advancement.
Styling is not for me. Looks overly heavy in the front. $70k is too high a price as well, especially for something with a CVT.
you copy and pasted what he said.
GV80/GV80 coupe for me

too expensive. and a cvt. I would not call the interior elegant or that much upscale. But they will buy them in CA.
If you're interested in an "electrified" vehicle, for that kind of money I'd opt for a full BEV.
I jumped from my RX hybrid to a full EV! Felt my hybrid was the worst of both worlds and love my BEV way more!
