I’m 23 and I used to be an owner of 5 different cars. Now I have 2017 Golf and this car seems to me absolutely amazing! Unbelievable perfect steering, brakes and many other components of this car. I wish I had the GTI version but for now my Golf satisfies me in most aspects:)

I am amazed by the robotics, and the care the employees give to the finished product. I am very fortunate to own a 2019 GTI, with actual knobs and switches. Thanks, VW. RickGTI
I have the 2023 mk8 gti .. I would like some nice dials for my heating controls must be said! You do however forgive it for all its problems when you stick your foot down on some countryside back roads!
@@caffeineisking8132 I hear they will bring the buttons and switches back eventually. But I guess it's kinda the MacBook Touch Bar. you start to like it once you get to know it. I haven't experience those new tactile buttons though so i can't say.

I have been there. Amazing experience! You are highly suggested to visit a factory of VW... You will take a little bus with a guide and you will see a lot of interesting stuff!

@ 6:20 I hope someone shows this process to mazda, honda.. if they build their cars up from worse quality steel ( Japan imports steel from Russia), at least they may apply some kind of additional anti-corrosion bath..
G R big problem with Japanese cars is paint. Nearly every Japanese car in California more then 5 years old is missing lots of its paint.
All manufacturers do a sealant bath process now for vehicles. It is how they can give a 100,000 mile corrosion warranty.
@@jakp8777 - the clear coat is typically the issue on vehicles that are exposed to a lot of sun.
@G R : @jak p - My 8 year old Honda Jazz (Fit in 'Murica) was properly assembled and painted in Thailand where I live. It's hotter than California and more humid, with more rain. We've had the car since new, and have no rust or paint problems at all. *True story* 😀

Anyone know what it happening at 5:28"? Could be a gas flame being used to warm various body parts but I've never seen that before. Something unique only done by VW or is this process used by any other companies?
I think that it is done for smoothening the plastic and/or removing little hairs of plastic
I been to a bmw factory in ragensburg it was amazing to see the robots making cars!
