I am so impressed with how this is turning out. Your Cartman Halloween costume is adorable, and you definitely need to wear coral, red, and orange more often!
Hi, just drill a hole in the centre upright to get to the right side then drill another hole to get into the kennel section so you dont have drill another hole in the top of the cabinet. Good luck!
Also, this is a great opportunity to buy surge protection, since you will be plugging all of your expensive electronics into it. I would suggest getting two surge protectors (one for each outlet).
Cartman costume gets two thumbs up. At 8:52 in the video, you are taking a measurement and have to curve the tape measure at the very end to get the number. Instead of trying to read the curve. Measure in 10 inches from one side and make a pencil mark (make your mark on painters tape if it is a finished surface), then measure over from the other side up to your 10" mark. Then just add 10 inches to the the measurement. Example: Measure 10 inch over from right to left and make a mark. Next, measure over from left to right and let's call it 23 7/8 inches. Just add 10. The size you need to cut is 33 7/8 inches. Also, nothing special about blue tape, I just buy it in bulk when it goes on sale, because I use it almost daily. Green frog tape is great for painting, but kinda expensive. Green frog tape is designed to push the paint out when water based paint comes in contact with it. Shelf brackets can be difficult to install, and you did a very good job installing them. One old school method of supporting shelves is to install cleats (basically just using the same wood you built the project with to create a ledge for the shelf to sit on). A new school method is the Kreg Shelf Pin Jig (available at Lowes). I try not to use metal shelf brackets on my projects, only because of the added cost of buying the brackets. Otherwise, they are a great solution for your project, because of their slim profile, added strength, durability, and simplicity. Well done. I'm proud of you for not being afraid to use the project itself as a work bench 13:42 into the video. Too many people get hung up on that step. Good job on getting stuff done so you could get the necessary coat of primer on it. I think Lowes sells cable management hole fillers. I always oversize the hole so the plug end can easily pass through. NEVER cut and splice a cable! That is a UL listed device. In other words, Underwriters Laboratory has certified that device to be electrically safe to use in your home. DO NOT modify it in any way! Just drill a bigger hole. Lowes/Amazon sells cable management sleeves that act as a grommet to make the big ugly hole sleeker, smoother and safer for the cable to pass through. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.
@@RoseRenovations Hi Rose, I am starting my own UA-cam channel as well. What microphone do you use? I will probably be doing all my filming with my iphone 10 on a tripod just to get started. Initially I am focusing on tips and tricks home owners, apartment dwellers, and college kids. Simple projects, minimal tools, big results. As of right now, my audio is terrible on my videos because I am not using a microphone. Any suggestions/advice that you and Tim have for me would be greatly appreciated. Also, I understand that my comments can come across as being a troll on the internet. That is not my intent. I try to simply state what needs stated in as few words as possible. My sincerest apologies if I comes across as a troll. Anyway, keep up the good work. As always, thanks for sharing. If you ever need anything, feel free to reach out to me. Your input will help me grow my UA-cam channel as well. Thanks, Michael P.S. You will always learn more from the experience gained by taking on and tackling a project. Mistakes will be made, you will learn how to fix your mistakes, grow as you learn and learn as you grow. Some of the best safety advice ever given to me was by a shop teacher - "You are the softest thing in this shop, and everything in here will cut you, burn you, mangle you or crush you." I am so thankful that you took my advice and watched a safety video on the circular saw. I wish nothing but the best for you and Tim, and I hope you both succeed in all aspects of life. Take care, and keep watching those safety videos for every tool you own.
@@RoseRenovations Well, I can confirm that the notifications definitely does not notify me. As for the comment, unless you type it here, I can't find it (I'm pretty sure that it is user error on my part). Oh well. I need to update to a newer computer anyway... It would also help if I learned how to use UA-cam from the content creator side of UA-cam, rather than the viewer side of UA-cam. Keep up the good work, and tell Tim I said Hello 👋
Hope you had fun being an asshole at work 😂. The cabinets are looking great! Wires are such a pain with anything like this but you’ve done a lot in the past week!
@michaelmeans9187 Hi Michael! You don't come across as a troll at all :). I very much appreciate your help and support. I don't always know what I'm doing (most of the time, I don't), so I am grateful to anyone who has some knowledge of these projects. Unfortunately, I don't always get notifications when I receive comments, so if I ever don't respond, that's the reason. No hurt feelings, but I am always happy to see your comments. I'm so excited to see your channel! I'll totally subscribe. I use these microphones: amzn.to/4hvD7k2. They're great! They plug right into your phone, and that's it! I can't wait to see all of your tips and tricks and how you do your projects!
Also, I do not get notified when you reply to a comment or tag me in a comment. Probably has something to do with my computer turning 16 years old this Thanksgiving Black Friday. LOL 🤣It's so old, it stopped updating about five years ago. Google mostly works, UA-cam kinda works, Amazon sometimes works, and no other websites work. It is definitely time to upgrade.
That warm sunshine looks so nice right now.
Love watching you guys interact, very amusing!
Hahah thank you!

I’ll have to look into that!
Great stuff. Thank you for being real
Thank you for watching :)
So will you be doing uppers? Both of your sketches showed the built ins covered the top and the bottom wall.
We will! We still have quite a bit to do, but luckily we can start putting stuff away into the hidden storage now.
Cartman😂 love it👍
Looks great already, love the colour.
Thank you so much!
The cartman costume is a great idea! Good job on the project so far, even though Tim messed it up again....(just kidding, I freaking love Tim!)
Hahah he appreciates the back up 😂
You're doing a great job but I'm confused about the side boxes, I thought they were for the dogs?
They are :) I haven’t gotten to them yet. That’s still to come
Add some face trim to clean this up and take it to the next level!
Oh we definitely will! 😊

Ha, cartman is a good pick .
Haha thank you I’m so excited about that one
The shelves look great! I totally understand not wanting to wear something sexy to work. That just seems so odd to me
Totally odd! Makes me uncomfortable 🥴
