The noodle-making was impressive, esp seeing Steve like a pro! 🤣 The modern long house is interesting. Miri is memorable because l was there 4 yrs ago to visit my daughter at Curtin uni, and watching the setting sun. I think all are best/favourite moments in this vlog.
Your journey not complete yet untill you go to deep jungle.. Meet kenyah kayan klabit penan bidayuh lumbawang and many tribes out there.. Next time you can find them with 4x4 car.
Road trip video are always the best, but you guys miss out one town called Limbang. But need to cross brunei to go to Limbang.
I was lucky to travelled all over sarawak end to end. Your road trip bring back old memory almost 10years ago.

Steve & Ivana, you two had done more than what the Sarawak Tourism Board had done in years. This is beyond the usual tourism promotion of Sarawak. You have brought Sarawak to the hearts of everyone, me included & I'm Sarawakian. There's no proper act of gesture to thank you two. But I hope the adventures you had, every Sarawakian you met, all those places you visited will be the best lasting memories & souvenier you'll ever have. Throughout your entire stay in Sarawak, I dont know how many times I have to have late dinner ( new videos always premiered at 7PM local time) just to wait for the premier of new videos. So dont expect any goodbye from me but a big thank you for the amazing time & journey with you two. I hope Sarawak will still be on your top list of places for re-visit. The best thing about you two is how you're able to get other travellers to get along on your travels @ roadtrips. Most travelers would only travel on their own which you guys did most of the time but the times that you work and travel with others are very special to watch
It reminded my motorcycle road trip from Kuching to The tip of Borneo started 2 months ago. It took me 20 days to finish the unforgettable journey. Can not agree more that Borneo is a unique place. Thanks for the video to show the real side of Sarawak and be the ambassadors for Sarawak.

@jetlag warriors..........you are the best travel agency in the world...why?... because no goverment and no travel agency in the world COLD DO WHAT YOU DID..it doesnt matter if you are in pakistan ,romania or malaysia..the connection with people, the life stories...the humor and the state of mind of both of you are amazing....i think the logo of your travel agency should be a butterfly..why?because the butterfly that you saw in brasil was a sign of life, a good omen of things to come...i do remember what my granmother told me when i was young:" good things happens to good people"....a beautifull flower attract a beautifull butterfly...so is karma: beautifull people visit beautifull places.....continue to enjoy life and people.....and the sunrise will be all the time on your alley...i hope you visit brasov city(romania) one day and i will show you a real MICI recipe without baking soda that will melt in your mouth ...is a place in brasov where you can find this recipe....mici made of beef and lamb mince meat that are without baking soda and it will melt in your mouth.....if you come to brasov contact me...if not travel forward and enjoy people with your adventures..you are the best my friends.....with love from brasov....respect and noroc!!!!!

And Kapit too. They now have proper roads to travel by land. Before this people would take express boat to get there. Personally I would prefer sitting on the roof where the air is fresh and windy. Inside the boat the air is stuffy and noisy, enough to make you seasick.

All of u shld come back again and continue where u left cuz u still have more Sarawak adventure yet to be discovered. The northern part of Sarawak have totally different tribes frm the one tht u have came accrossed. So pls come back soon . Be looking forward for ur continuation of Borneo road trip 😌

Thank you to you guys, Steve, Ivana, Mike, Gigi and Ken for spending your time in Sarawak. In view of your tour, I have planned this November trip on the road with my car alone, from Kuching to Tawau through Brunei. Next round of road trip thereafter will be at Singkawang and Pontianak both at Kalimantan from Kuching. If it did come to pass, this will be my longest distant trip on the road ever realized in my life.

When you arrive to Tawau, don't forget to try Mee Banjir(flooded noodle) at the seafood court at the center of the town, not far from the library, by the seaside. That is if the place is still there. Last I went to Tawau was in 2004. The Mee Banjir consist of egg noodles(yellow noodle), bihun(vermicelli rice noodle), chicken, fish, and squid. Served in a large bowl.
I'm not sure whether it got prawn too or not. It's been too long.

Greetings guys…there’s no denial “everything must come to an end except for love” is very well said Steve. It seems like “everyday is a new adventure” for you guys in Sarawak itself & yet there’re many more than just towns or villages to explore.
Watching your videos makes me felt that I’m there myself & every episodes makes me wanted to know more, what’s coming up next as well as what’s the next good food.
These tour chapter is not all about food itself but the experience, learning point of other cultures as well as respecting & love each other as well as Mother Nature.

I really enjoyed the video of you guys when you first started driving the rental car from Kuching and got lost in the middle of some rural bidayuh village farm area. That was awesome that you got/bought the rattan basket from the bidayuh lady. It's called "tambok" in Bidayuh. My late grandmother was very good with her rattan weaving skills during those yester-years...!
It's sad to see this ending of your video road trip together with all of the gang.....but I'm pretty sure you all had miraculously sweet memories that will be engraved in your heart forever...!! Hopefully I get the chance to meet you both, someday...Steve and Ivana...!! 👍😃

Ken loves country borders.. It's kind of fascinating. Foreigners ( bules ) don't usually cross Sarawak - Indo border by land the people there got excited.

I think every Malaysian has experienced or will experience that tropical storm at least once in their lives.
I had an experienced of Canada's snow blizzard once when I was a student in Toronto many years ago. The blizzard started when I was on a bus going home. Because it was dark outside, I got off at a wrong stop.. and I had to walk some distance to my apartment. Man... I'm telling you.. I couldn't feel my ears and my nose and my lips and my fingers and everything else that is small on your body. It was dead cold!! But I survived and cherish that experience to this day. I know you guys will cherish yours forever.

The coastal highway isn't bad at all, if a little wavy. Off the beaten path, though.. can be variable. Do visit the Old Lady museum on top of the hill while you are there. I wonder if they still sell contraband cigarettes at the Tatau night market.. I remember M Brand cigarettes were RM6 for a whole carton.. we stocked up to give them away at the long houses inland.. 😁

7:30 Miri Airport. Reminded me of 2018, when my office colleague and I arrived at the airport by car and just when we stepped out of the car, the whole city went blackout. The airport then ran on emergency generator(s) but only for essential things. Couldn't buy anything because the cash register machine run on electric. Luckily the Mary Brown restaurant still open but we need to pay with exact change, hence not much choice.
Make me smile thinking of those poor souls that bragging physical money no longer needed and they preferred go cashless. Good luck on them 😏. Hard cash will always needed.
You guys experience something similar when you reached Peru and all your cards rejected.
Terengganu must feel staid after your Borneo travels. Trust me, the thumb-pointing happens here, especially if you have to point to a person. Enjoy your travels, Steve and Ivana.
