- This is a regular city driving tour like my others but i start it focused on Kurt Cobain stuff like his memorial and childhood house. I think i also drive by his elementary school.
Aberdeen is a city in Grays Harbor County, Washington, United States. The population was 16,896 at the 2010 census. The city is the economic center of Grays Harbor County, bordering the cities of Hoquiam and Cosmopolis. Aberdeen is occasionally referred to as the "Gateway to the Olympic Peninsula".
Aw, I grew up in Aberdeen. Lived there 1988-2004. Thanks for this video. Haven't had a chance to see my hometown for many years now.

Everything looks the same. Trees, houses, fences. Its all one grey mass of depression and a little haunting beauty

Had a chance to visit while working in the PNW for covid…such a small depressing little town..
Rundown and grungey has a kinda sad vibe really cloudy and rainy most of the time even more than Seattle
Lived east coast all my life. I feel like I'm driving through a bizarre version of Delaware mixed with grey depression like none other.

I wanted to drive by aberdeen and then to forks but it would have been a hassle so thank you for doing this for me instead. I don't have to waste money seeing it when I can see it here ^_^
Lived there early -mid 60s. Was a teen... Miller jr high. We only lived there a couple years. I often wonder what happened to the kids my age over the years. Small town. Was fun to go to Ocean Shores.😎 we lived on McKinley st or Ave... overlooked Grays Harber! Killer view!
I have no clue how I missed this upload but I’m so glad to see it because I have actually been looking at houses around the area. It actually kills me how much on street parking there is I know the homes are old but people had cars back then does nobody freaking have a driveway?!! I would be nervous parking my car on the street.
Where is the come as you are sign? It must be in a different entrance to town

If you're looking at homes in Aberdeen, I recommend looking up on the hill (Bel-Aire Ave. winds up the hill). The homes tend to be a bit nicer and they're not in the flood-plain. The person who videoed this started going up the hill around 16:00 but never quite got into the upper neighborhoods.

Not so bad at all. They always talk about ugly and depressing city, but it's much pritier than small cities here in Finland. Here conurbations are absolutely disturbing. Here in Finland, nothing old is impossible to be saved and old beautiful strukture tear down. What about the forests...hmm..let me shut up...

As well as Dale Crover's (who's childhood home and one of the first places Kurt and the precursor to Nirvana practiced - the videographer drove right past and didn't acknowledge) Krist Novoselic, Patrick Simmons of the Doobie Brothers and if you are a wrestling fan, Daniel Bryan. Aberdeen also produced Nobel Prize winner Douglas Osheroff, as well. Today, many people want to say Aberdeen is a drug haven, but it is no worse nor better than almost any town in America with high unemployment. Maybe with the influx of so many large city folks looking to get away from big city life and enjoy small town friendliness and comfort people will start to see it as it truly is - a town with anything you want to see within a 2 hour drive and home to some of the friendliest people you would ever want to meet. I miss living in Aberdeen, having grown up there at the same time as Kurt, Krist, Dale and the rest.

If you want quite, I recommend Port Townsend, WA or Port Angeles, WA
Bene there in 2019 in a pacific north west tour: what you can’t see is the smell of the paper mills that adds to’ the oppression of the sky. Aberdeen is exactley what you would expect from the hometown of Kurt

This town looks kind of depressing to me. I know a woman who grew up in Aberdeen and she doesn't have fond memories of it!

Weather doesn't make you depressed people do. I love in Florida humid and hot as hell and trust me these old drivers make things very depressing

Worse city in Washington. Lived here for 18 months and I had to move out of state cause it's so horrible. If you visit or live there. You'll see
