Wish they'd make these a bit bigger. Really want to cut full 20" x 30" pieces of foam board. Speaking of which, does this cut white foam board, or struggle like some other diode laser models? I don't want to spend thousands to do something so simple.

    • @ChrisPowellFSD

I can’t say. Haven’t tried foam. Not sure what chemicals might be produced. They do have a bed extension coming out that will double the length of it.

Most users in the forums, on Facebook and even Ortur themselves, give speeds in millimeters, not inches. There's no right or wrong, but millimeters seems to be way more common when posting or asking people about their settings. Just sayin'.

Great video, thank you. I purchased the ortur laser master 3 and the extension. Just put it together without any problems. I did purchase a 400mmX600mm and a 400mmX850mm honeycomb bed. I noticed you didn't use a honeycomb bed. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using one? My hobby is building balsa RC airplanes and this laser cutter will be a great tool for cutting out parts.
