Look.. dejounte you have no place in Tony parker & the spurs legacy. You have no idea what you’re talking about and that situation is so beyond you.. it doesn’t make sense. The lack of awareness is crazy. Tony Parker earned the right to play his last season as the starter of the spurs. He gave his all to that team & felt betrayed by poppovich and the organization. You don’t do that to your legendary point guard. You think Tony cared about you? You think it was about you? It wasn’t. Classless move by the spurs honestly. He deserved to finish his career as a starter. That doesn’t mean dejounte can’t get more minutes than him.. but to take him out of the lineup to start? Nasty work

What did the spurs do that was wrong? Tony wasn’t playing anywhere near his best basketball in Murray’s second year, and the spurs were actually still a playoff team. If the spurs had been a lottery team or something then I’d definitely agree that starting Tony in his last year wouldn’t hurt. They were still decent enough to get into the western playoffs, Murray was a better player at that point and Pop already watched him grow and mature for 2 seasons, why would he start Tony over him when he’s aged and coming off of an injury. If anyone got done filthy by the spurs it was Kawhi and Tony definitely had a part in that as well so he shouldn’t have felt any type of way about losing his spot

Man I’ve been a SA fan since the day they drafted Duncan. TP has frustrated me quite a bit at times but DJM really thinking he’s a special players is wild af.

Put it this way imma keep it a buck, so you love your wife, she calls you in the room and also call your co worker in the room…. She says listen I want to make a change imma start letting your co worker take care of the cheeks moving forward., I need you to not move out tho but stay in the other room and mentor him on how to handle these cheeks… how would you feel? The haters going to say that’s not realistic, sure ok… but neither was pop taking Tony’s job and expect a competitor to be ok lol you ever had to train your replacement? Shit is crazy

I mean I don’t disagree with him, he should take the mentor role but at the end of the day nobody wants to lose their spot, especially one who’s held it for a long period time.
