The being able to trade between regions with the trade station is big
Yea, really gives us the chance to make HUGE colonies!
This was already in the game.
@@jr8260 Not the way it works now.
@@jr8260 no you had to use your bargain station and it was super inefficient and could only be done with goods and you had to have both villages give something with this you can just sell it to them.
This is especially good because you won't have to take the no tariff development skill in every town just to have a functional trade network
There already was, packing station does that.
I agree with the ale consumption issues, and am glad to see they've fixed the same problem with markets - I found, from anything but a very basic settlement, that my ability to produce goods dramatically outstripped my ability to transport and distribute them even when I had half my village working storehouse and ox jobs.
It’s funny how the first official patch dropped days after the first unofficial patch mod did.
LOL
yeah but good for everybody. 100% they collaborate on fixing this as it is modable
Great job by a solo developer. Hopefully they have also fixed the carry away of dead Oxes. It was always sad to see a dead Ox, lying in the street.
100%
Holy cow.. i mean ox, im 120 hours into the game, missing just mercs achievement and i’ve never seen a dead ox…
@@Denek_23 I had a trading post struck by lightning. 2 of my ox's were in the area and died as a result lmao
Funnily it's not a single dev, there are few people working on it
@@realcodechris I guess it's more like an administrative (if not even just semantic) thing - as far as I understand, it's basically one guy studio but quite a few stuff is outsourced to other people. So yeah, it's single developer, but not really... Still an impressive work though.
W dev he puts in so much work his project is loved
It is a very nice basket indeed
Only the best woven magic
Im happy too see the Ale fixed. The issue ive had with it is i cant make enough too satisfy my population.
So an idea i had is why not allow brewery plots to not only make Ale but choose too make either Mead or Cider as well🤷♂️
That’s a great idea we already got bee hives and apple orchards so I hope they implement this!
"Overly high ale consumption" - I see you've never been to Wisconsin then.
Just a normal day for the Brits too LOL
@@TheOnlyL0nzY as a german, and I'm sure the czechs will agree with me, I don't see british beer as real beer 😂
@@jarlnils435Im with you on that
I do adore Americans thinking they consume high amounts of alcohol. Come tae Glasgae. 🤣🤣
If you refer to lager, I 100% agree. We typically seem to o my drink European beer anyway lol. Btw, German beer is beautiful
"overly high ale consumption" my guy, this was actually a thing in history, 100% working as intended tbh
I had no issues with it LOL. Just didn't think it distribution properly
Historically the beer was way lower in alcohol, around 2%. They definitely made beer with higher alcohol content, but that was not the norm.
Multi player would be the cherry on top.
Yea maintaining an Ale through out the year is hard 🤣 seasonal when it gets harvested unless u have a huge amount of plot
Are you happy with the patch or was there anything you else you expected to see? Let me know
Selfishly i would have like to have seen more. But not because i dont think the devs arent doing a good job just because im so enthralled in this game and need more to do! Love Manorlords so far! Edit : by devs yes I mean Greg
I have concerns for the changes to the tax system. I think managing mood with be a big concern in this patch.
Ale change will hopefully be helpful. Very sad about the changes to capping trade route changes. I do not feel it's balanced. We'll see what game play turns up but that is likely to need another tweak I think 🤔
@@Jordy-kk1kw I think it's just 1 guy so it's even more impressive to have a patch out this quickly.
@@Jordy-kk1kw *dev
Its one dude
I've enjoyed the game, the concept is a dream and the way its implemented is coming together nicely. but.. the animals are atrocious, For many examples.. after replacing posts multiple Oxen are stuck, unusable and without stables no matter how many more stable slots are built up... eventually forcing 4 oxen to run away, crashing the game if I tried to buy more before they "disappeared". The animal trade station/sheep herders not being able to transfer sheep from the trade station(but they continuously try too) Not being able to assign animals to fertilize farms, even after destroying every other field they would possibly be able to occupy wasting that particular town progression point. With the worst by far being the mule trading system not working at all, the mule either gets stuck following a FM, glitching out and even crashing a game when you try to work around it by selling the mule.. to get a new one.. basically halting progression in the game (basically all my weapons/armor were being made from the town across the pond with low pop, stock piling on weapons and armor while barely surviving on berries because all the food and bread the other town was suppose to supply to them is now rotting away.) I hope he has at least recognized these problems because the game is worth the wait but damn the animals are frustrating to say the least.
Seems like he needs a bigger dev team though. Hes made enough money would be nice to hire 5-10 people to make the game as great as it has the potential to be
He isn't actually solo, he contracts a fair chunk of work out
I played the patch for a few minutes. Granaries were invisible and construction seemed instantaneous. I'll come back to it in a day or so when it has a chance to cook.
This game needs graphs, we need to see the evolution of the industries over time
It’s not even beta yet, it’s pre release. This game is going to be massive. Mounted knights. Enemy settlements to attack. Castle planner upgrades. Etc etc. Even the possibility of a mmorts game.
This patch so soon after release has given me great confidence that Greg knows this game is a diamond and he will polish it and not just spend his profits on coke, hookers and yachts.
the cattle one happened to me i assigned to the farm didnt need there at the moment unassigned and they disappeared saying there is not space and i had 3 hitches with no cattle
Enemy lord: Taking over the world right on schedule
Me: Struggling to recruit 15 peasants for a militia to stave off a few bandits without starving my population and hoping my region never gets claimed
Dev: Game is too easy, let's create an annual royal tax that demands more money that I have ever earned in this game
Seems to be my experience thus far as well, lol. Luckily I decided on playing a peaceful game first as I didn't want any issues with warfare right away. I wanted to just build and grow a town.
@@apropercuppa8612 I definitely underestimated this game. I thought it was a chill city builder, but it's a hard core survival game where assigning a single family could be the difference between a well stocked and prepared economy, and constant starvation. I wouldn't recommend playing against an enemy NPC lord until you can build a working town in your sleep!
@@robdom91 Having played Banished when that came out, I figured this would have been much the same - which it is. Luckily, I have kind of got a rotation between wild foods, harvested foods and allotments sorted along with wood, but still. Just fighting the Brigands and losing a bunch of men set me back. I eventually had to hire mercenaries to finish the rest of the camps off.
Your comment is spot on........ the trading costs alone basically made it that I was too poor to trade, leaving me without any means to get myself out of it. I'm gonna leave the game for a while and hope there are tweaks to the economy as I found it difficult to make money before this patch. 😔
@@ob1983 The key is production. Keep importing limited! Export stuff you can make an excess of, like planks without establishing dedicated trade routes. Build chicken coops and sell off the excess eggs. Sell off excess leather from your hunters. Set every item cap to about 10 and sell off the rest. Your warehouse can't hold everything anyway and building storage means you need more families to work them. Early game your population is too limited. And you need to sell at least 2-3 products to be able to import something exotic on occasion. And stay away from the two item carts for firewood and bread. They may be an infinite source, but they'll totally tank your economy once your people have the slightest food or fuel deficiency.
I'll have to check it out this evening
Nice to see frequent work! A sign of good things for us
It's my last workday of the week, perfect timing! I guess 33yr old me will be sleep deprived this weekend.
The Ale consumption fix is perfect
Wish we could use ox to pull the Mead Barrels.
Does anyone know when i can play the updated version on epic games?
Sweet can’t wait to get home to download. I read the change notes during lunch. Thank god the ale 🍺 was changed so it can be kept in stock for those drunks
I’ve just started this game and I’m loving it so far (other then losing my base around 5 times) I’m just curious if the end game is somewhat good?
End game? It's still too early in development, but has building and fighting lol
Marvelous!
I wish he adds forming allies with other region ruler if the map ever gets bigger.
Wow a dev that actually cares about their game. Great to see
I went with the cheaper trade route option, and now it's going to cost me 400 coins just to open a route.
Yeah, the more routes you open, the price goes up exponentially for opening new trade routes
Yup not so easy anymore 😩
Any news on the archers ? On old save my archers still do nothing even with 116% efficiency ..
Maybe I need a new save ?
Maybe. Archers were on the list I believe for a buff again
I heard now they are able to kill very little at least, for me it’s not working I’m going to try a new game and rush them.
You saw a list for additional buffs on real release patch ?
Do we know when the patch will be available for those of us who bought the game on GOG?
That I have no idea!
WOW what is going on with the very high cost to establish trade routes? Seems you will have to get that perk point that lowers it to 25 regional wealth.
It does t do that either anymore!
What happens is for each trade route you open, the price of opening a new route increases exponentially. I have a large town and quite a few routes, opening a new one would cost me 25k 😮
seens year 1 up until around year 3 i had always 5 ppls who needed houses even tho i had plenty of free spaced housing for them who knows maybe they didn't like the house i made for them
Sorry bit behind, guessing these fixes are from new starts only?
No, tested in the video on an old save and it works
Were people not affected by the market supply issue? I see on the patch notes but everyone is focusing more on things that were not that big of an issue compared to the market problems
Yea, we just found ways around it lol. It's so much better now
Anyone else have people just standing about? Looking straight ahead all facing the same way they don’t move, I’ve not logged on yet to see if that’s been resolved I just don’t go to that part of town anymore lol it freaks me out
It has I believe LOL
@@TheOnlyL0nzY ohhhh yessss!! The zombie apocalypse has ended🤣
This game is so good!
Is anyone else having problems with this patch? The Granary building itself doesn't appear on the map but it's built and usable.Retinue customization also has none of the new armors added and a base armor is grayed out.like plain gray clothes.and a grey streak on there face...
Is this from a new game or existing?
@@TheOnlyL0nzY new game,no mods
How do I go to beta branch if I have it on Xbox game pass?
You can't yet, only Steam
some nice changes indeed 😀😀😀
For sure!
I'm assuming this isn't live on game pass yet?
I'm going to assume not as it requires Beta Branch opt in on Steam
No mention of how the apples seem broken. They only seem to be collected from burgage plots ONCE the pantry of said burgage plot is 100% full. Surely this is a bug and not intended design. I don't see any mention of that as a fix, I'd be floored if that was by design.
We shall see. I'll do some testing
Actually that is mentioned in the notes. It is very long so easy to miss.
@@MagnesiumSulfate oh is it, wow I'm am idiot, I just didn't see it.
-Food producing residential plots no longer stock up on their produce before they share with the marketplace

Is this patch live for Xbox too? What version is it?
Not yet. Accessible on Steam Beta branch
st. maurice?
dude did he really implemented "maurice weber" a well known for german speaker game journalist?
No update on gamepass
You needed 5 barley for every 1 wheat to satisfy Villagers. I'd say that is more than a distribution issue. :) I do agree though that Taverns had terrible service though.
Yea, but I still find it easy enough to make personally. That's what I mean
@@TheOnlyL0nzY I agree it was manageable but it did feel a bit odd to have to focus your farming efforts on Barley, with Wheat and Flax mostly being an after thought. Excited to play around with the new build though, either way. Cheers.
@@vocalcynic2953 Just had a field of ~2 morgen and a 25% fertility rate yield 10 barley, the ale produced from that was enough for about two months. I'd say the field yields are way too low. For a region that has ~100 families, you'd need half of the region covered in barley+wheat fields
any changes to sheep spawn rates?
Not that I saw
will my saved game be compatible ?
Worked ok for me. However, I would always assume it might break it
There is a major bug. My new trade route cost increased by almost 100 times!
Trade routes are now nerfed big
Lol i find simply trading planks and Charcoal to get to 100K + is... a bit broken, there has to be a nerf
Oh no I do not like that. Paying 12000 for a new trade route for bread is a bit too much
hows the farming? anychanges??
Testing as much as I can now and will let people know what I find
Just read the notes.
Is he still solo deving?
The game already have high approval so if the dev build another house maybe it could attract more "workers".
hmmm, i wonder if it will come to game pass. prob not till it comes out I guess.
My granary model is gone. And no new models for the retinue. One old armour Is missing its textures tho ;)
Oh well, it IS a beta.
Still want Goat for meat! Had over 200 useless goats! 😂
They will now be a little more useful to make money as trading is nerfed
How do we get the BETA release of the patch on PC game pass?
I don't think you will be able to honestly. However, I am sure it won't be long for it to come to gamepass too
Awesome !
Wow, this is massive. And so soon 👏🏼
It's a good sign!
The game got much harder for me.
They need to fix trading..i try to export bows and they just will not take the bows to the goddamn trading station.
works ok for me!
Had a issue with that once but it fixed itself once I unassigned and reassigned a family to the trading station
@@REDACTED_shenanigans the whole storage part of the game is broken i think.
just if anyone is wondering this update is more bugged than the regular version - workers stand in one place doing nothing - u dont get any village growth points its broken and so on
Mine isn’t 🤷🏻♀️
Market changes seem unimpactful based on ~12 months observation of an established large town
For sure. It's just a big impact to early/mid game
Yeah. Im on year 8. Pop. ~200. Graneries are still stacked with food but some food stalls are empty. Same with firewood. I have 3 graneries, 3 woodworking huts. The only thing thats seems to be working is having at least 3x as much food and fuel. Apples and veg. arent stacking anymore though which is good.
Eh not entirely true, trade seems to not be as lucrative anymore… I actually developed my town’s fortune by purchasing a surplus of meat and other goods that would get distributed at the market, as a result I would have a net profit and I could earn 30k for the town in a matter of like 15 minutes, that doesn’t seem viable anymore. Now all my money is coming from upgraded plots and a handful of exports I have an excess of. In the end I’m actually now spending more money than I’m making.
@@passiondono4692 Errm, respectfully, I'm not sure what you're responding to here. I meant the market changes, that is, the changes to worker behaviour at market places (with the hope of getting all resources from storage to market to burgage plots reliably), not the trade economy. I appreciate that these systems interact but perhaps you misunderstood my initial observation?
@@wallywinker2438 when you said market my mind went to trade posts. “Market changes” sounds like you’re talking about economy
Very high alcohol consumption.... Try Canada....😂
i Hope this game gets better at handling AMD gpus
I hope the Dev sleep at night :D
Definetly the Ox waiting for a guide annoying bug is not fixed. Is a lot of frustating bug. Also is very complicated to get able to open trade routes, so so expensive...Not need to do it so hard I think. Even with that and more weird stuff, I´m playing like an addict...
Playing on Xbox game pass version so idk, but I really hope the trade branch didn't get nerfed to badly.. it's really necessary early game to get the perk that drops prices by 10 and drop trade route prices.
It has been nerfed to the point where trade is reduced by 50%, not all down to 25. Good change IMO as trading is too strong
@@TheOnlyL0nzY wow didn't expect a reply, especially so soon. Thank you 😁.. and that actually is really reasonable, really smart play. Most developers nerf to much generally. ✊

DID THEY FIX THE BUG OF THE OXEN WAITING FOR SOMEONE AT THE EGE OF THE MAP EVEN WHILE THERE IS SOMEONE ALREADY THERE WITH THERE OX?
Not sure!
Not for me...
Guys, can i take a advice from you all??
Why my villagers always complain about "not enough fuel", but I literally have 700+ of fuels in surplus bar.
And i already make my marketplace separately to make the distribution evenly..

Make sure the market places are mainly ran from storehouses. Try more storehouses to fix

Ubisoft cant seem to fix bugs or improve things that quick on "finished" products. Let alone alphas.
Indie games are almost always patched quicker from what I see lol
Not for everyone who paid money for the game. Epic Games Customers don't get the patch. As a second class customer i guess ill find something else. Cant believe the dev allowed people to buy the game but not get the updates like everyone else.
