Lancer has come along way since their 1st gen of products! I firmly believe they deserve the positive praise theyve been getting. They have listened to their customers feed back and took it upon themselves to make signficant changes for a much better product and still keep the prices highly affordable not to mention the gen3 punches way above its weight! Another note: Gen3 does offer a proline metal body version now too not just polymer. Great video as always Reach
Facts I went to a store in California before I moved to Utah and they were douchebags all they wanted to do was sell me something and get their money. So they showed me a basic Black and Tan G&G combat machine which I thought was the best gun which they did a good job of making it seem that way. And the thing that makes me hate them they told me to stay away from lancer tactical and “they are trash.” But once I moved to Utah I went to a store expecting them to tell me the same thing but the gun I’ve been running for almost a year now is a lancer tactical gen2 perfect for indoor play but lacks on the outdoor capabilities but my next gun will be a lancer gen 3. I’m so glad I didn’t listen to the store in Cali and I listened to the people at this store.
That LT looks really nice, love the 2 tone color. LT really took the reigns with their gen 3s. Started like a WALMART gun to becoming a almost a top tier. Definitely will buy one next.
They’re definitely worth taking a look at. I mostly find myself drawn to things I or others have built on the aftermarket, but I’m always interested in out of the box affordability/performance. I think Lancer’s bringing some stuff to the game that shouldn’t be disregarded. Like I said in the vid, I think this is one I’ll hold onto for a while. Not a primary for me, but not something I’d be quick to part with. Thanks for watching!!
I have the gen 3 LT 04B and really performs well out the box. Recently installed the maple leaf 602 inner barrel nub and hopup rubber but with the standard 603 barrel its a great performing m4 definitely worth looking at! The flat trigger pull feels great and the trigger features out the box is a huge plus.
I got a LTG3 and slapped a ZCI barrel in it and R-Hopped it and lemme tell you it’s extremely accurate. Thinking bout putting in a M125 or M130 spring for some extra umph while staying in that 20ft MED range.
@@CallsignReach I've used peruns in the past and their really nice, but I've switched over to a JeffTron Leviathan and I have to say it's what I'll be putting in all my aegs. So price wise I'd say peruns, but performance wise and variety I'd say JeffTron.
I have a Zion r15. After this video I’m convinced Lancer tactical built the r15. I later cracked open the gun and a big fat lancer logo was on the side.
I’m not lookin’ for an AEG at the moment but I watched through this anyway cause your content is baller my dude 👌 Right now you’re one of my favorite channels, cause of the whole cyberpunk theme that you have going on here, and you make awesome videos. As far as the shirt designs go, I’d be interested, and I’m interested in picking up one of those stickers!
Ive definitely warmed up to lancer but it still is very hit and miss with their products. Some are fine and well worth the price you pay as they do keep up with modern feature standards and a competitive price but there are still alot of lemons between their guns and batteries like you mentioned.
We’ll have to see where they go from here. I’ve used some Lancer stuff here and there over the years. Any company willing to improve is interesting to me!
Just bought a gen 3 waiting for it. Going to take my son to the range for the first time next weekend he has the gen 1 sad to hear the gen 1s had a lot of issues for 200.00 u would think that it would be well thought out.. his has been pretty good though
from blind buying a random "new released "280 dollar strike industries gun all it is is a normal Aeg with shiny metal external pieces, this makes it seem like my purchase was a rip-off and id agree with it . I'm definitely buying this gun as soon as I can to replace my current gun. this review helped a lot so tyvm dude
I’ve owned a lancer tactical gen 1 and tried out the gen 2. The gen 3 looks like it’s come a long way, definitely with the programmable trigger. I might consider getting one of these as my current m4 has bit the dust (*cough* because of… questionable modifications). Questions time 🎉 Can you use the quick release spring as a way of discharging the spring (often when my batteries get low, my spring gets stuck back until I can get a fresh one in there)? How would you say the pull of the trigger is between 1-10 (1 being like the old lancer tactical and 10 being like a hair trigger)? How is the rounds per second (as far as I know the lighter bt can measure it)? With a budget of around $300 would this be something worth getting or are there better options on the market that you know of currently (using for cqc and forested areas)?
1. I haven’t used the QCS that way but I’m pretty sure that would work. Charge those batteries my guy!! 2. I’d give the trigger a 6.5. Better than the old AEGs I have but not anything too impressive. The trigger response is solid, though. One of the better stock guns I’ve messed with. 3. I measured RPS but I can’t remember the exact figure. It’s solid with an 11.1 (recommended voltage). 3. I think it’s fine for the price. The features are solid for the cost. There are other AEGs out there. For around $300, you could get one of G&G’s AEGs. G&G is my preferred manufacturer for field guns, so I’d also look at some of their offerings. If you want to stick to LT, look at their proline series as well before pulling the trigger!
Have you tried holding down the trigger? It sounds like you're in program mode. Hold it down until it beeps and then try pulling the trigger in a safe direction.
Do you have multiple batteries? It may be a battery issue. They have a resource for the Nebula ETU on the Zion Arms website. That might explain what the four beeps are.
You can get them on Norwest, Evike, Airsoft GI, Airsoft Atlanta, etc. pretty much any Airsoft retailer will carry good batteries. I personally like Titan batteries, but Elite Force makes some good ones that will last a while
More of a response than you probably wanted, but the opportunity presented itself 😆: As I understand it, Lancer’s line of AEGs in the early 2010’s were targeted at entry level players, and they had a ton of QC issues. I believe LT released eyepro that wasn’t up to ANSI rating, (which was discovered after they released the products, a much bigger scandal than the guns in my opinion). The Gen 2 was released several years later and still suffered build and quality control issues. Given the airsoft community’s consolidation online, memes about Lancer’s terrible QC became extremely popular, which led to the prevailing idea that every Lancer product suffers the issues that their initial product lines did (ignoring that they also import and rebrand “OEM” products from overseas, meaning they don’t directly manufacture every product released under the brand name). While the initial criticism was warranted, the company has attempted to rebrand themselves by releasing more products focused on mid-level “competition” focused products like the Gen 3, which isn’t an amazing AEG but meets expectations and competes with equivalent products. They’ve also tried to integrate additional features into their baseline AEGs and offer alternative variants. To me as a player and as a reviewer, I think it’s okay to reconsider a company when they release new lines products, especially when those products are iterations based on customer feedback. You won’t catch me singing their praises over other offerings, but I don’t think they’re as terrible as everyone says. Still, I’ve received a lot of criticism for even picking up an LT gun and trying to be objective with it. Its something I expected when I agreed to do a video with them, but I admit I was surprised by how many people attacked my credibility…. It’s not likely to shift any time soon, unfortunately. I think it’s much easier to say “Lancer bad” than to watch review videos and form an opinion.
@@CallsignReach we personally recommend many Lancer products to new players at the field. Our own experience over the last few years has led us to believe LT is cheap and reliable. We keep a spread of Gen 2s & Gen 3s on hand for new players, and have not had any complaints so far. Their Gen 3 products are considerably nice for the price point, with the options for a 6.03 barrel, binary trigger, and quick swap low FPS spring included in the box. We understand that LT may have had failed products in the past, but no one should blame you for reviewing something that is objectively good for the price.
11.1 lipo is what I used in the video. Just get something small enough to fit in the stock; find the smallest lipo brick you can find. Titan is the brand I use.
I’d probably go with a CYMA platinum. I really like their out of the box performance. If you really want the FCU features, I’d go for this one (or an equivalent AEG).
Make sure it’s a Gen 3 if you’re going for it! They’re usually around $230 - $260 so I’d check and see why it’s cheaper. Look at the Specna Arms Core series and G&G’s line of CM-16s. You can also check out Evike’s line of Calico Jacks if you want similar performance to the Gen 3 in a different body. See if there’s something from those that you like and compare the internal features.

Binary trigger, if it's like real steel means that when you pull the trigger it'll shoot once and when you release the trigger it'll shoot again.

How long is the measure of the inner barrel?

I agree that an etu, and qcs should be standard at this price point, I'm glad they decided to make that change for the gen 3 line
