Hi Bob, Awesome video from the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Great the K37 # 493 and the K28 # 473 two excellent steam locomotives. And as a special vehicle, a galloping goose. Very nicely filmed a great video. Thanks for showing and greetings from Germany
Hey Bob !! Great going as you caught ALL the action going on !!!! 🙂🙃🤠😎 Glad to see ALL survived the winter out there with the records being broken with snow fall this year !!! 👍👍👍👍👍
Hello there, it’s been a lone winter, glad to see the season starting back up. Great photography. Hope you are at cumbres and Toltec opening day May 27 &28. Thanks enjoyed watching 👍👍
Hi Alowat, Thanks for watching. The railroad only shuts down at the end of October, (3 weeks) then the Cascade Canyon Express and Polar Express start about Thanksgiving. About half (90, when I worked there) of the employees are year-round. Round house and car shop keep busy with major work and maintenance for the next season. Some of the train crew work in the shops off season.
Great video, love that whistle.

Hi David, Thanks for watching and your nice comments. Yep, time to get out and about.
Does anybody know what happened to all of the 5 chime whistles? I sure miss them.
What do the workers do during the winter?
