The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad | A Scenic Summer Journey

Come along for a beautiful journey through the Colorado wilderness on former D&RGW right of way. We ride the 9:00am round trip train on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, featuring double heading steam locomotives K-37 No. 493 and K-28 No. 473 for the ascent. Keep watching to the end for more action from the Durango Depot including the twin DL-535E locomotives 101 and 106 as they move out with the 8:15am train, as well as 493, 473, and 476 as they move about the yard.

The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is wonderful heritage railroad of history during the time this whole rail line was used by the Denver & Rio Grande, then the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad, and now this heritage railroad.
