@@JeffMerrillYachts I remember seeing Malcolm Forbes "Highlander" docked in Ft Lauderdale back in the 80's and this very much reminds me of that yacht and not only in name. It would make a great liveaboard for a couple.

Ulbre: Thank you, and not just any aloha shirt, a Reyn Spooner! Thanks, I love wearing them. And, yes, very fortunate to have Highlander, this wonderful Selene 48 to show off, we do get to share some really special trawlers.
has always been my dream to own a yacht of this class. however, as a disabled marine it wont happen. i know whoever gets her will be happy campers. She is a beautiful boat
Carlos: The pilothouse does not have enough room to fit a dedicated helm chair. Same situation on many trawlers under 50'. The docking is actually better from a standing position in the pilothouse - you can easily get out either door to help with lines and for underway, once you are on a course, sitting on the bench seat offers a great view of the outside world and your nav displays and you can easily move to make any adjustments or corrections.
@@JeffMerrillYachts I understand, but I bet after a while on the ICW or some other place it must get tiresome! With 50' they should find some space for chair...
@@brucefogerty1335 Very common on trawlers under 50', only so much room and the bench works great for most people. You can always go up in size and spend more, but that doesn't make this a poor design in my opinion.

What a gorgeous boat. From the video it just looks like it has a high level of craftsmanship and woodworking. I got to say, though this video was disorienting. Lucky for this boat's broker, the boat is gorgeous and doesn't need a well done video to make it look appealing.
Tanga: Not sure why you would say that, I find them very practical for soaking in soap on one side and rinsing on the other. Many trawler galleys prefer double sinks. Of course if this is the only issue you have, it would be easy to change out to a single basin. What type of boat do you have?

Typically in a video when I'm looking for a boat I want to see the person walking from room to room so you can understand the exact layout of the boat. You definitely don't want jump cuts In the editing where the scene begins with the gentleman already in the room each time, so you really have no grass whatsoever of how the boat is laid out. All you really know is that each time the boat is gorgeous but that ain't giving you the picture whatsoever
Gorgeous boat in a magnificent colour. Thanks for the usual extensive tour, Jeff.
V8N: Thank you for watching and your nice note, yes, Highlander is a beauty, well looked after and we are seeing a lot of interest in her!
Another very nice boat Jeff. Beautiful interior. My only critique for this vessel is the cramped engine room.
Carl: The engine room is a bit tight, but you can make your way around and it is a lot better arrangement than many other trawlers.
Absolutely spotless !!! Love this Selene and what a great layout.
