When you fold the cords in half at the beginning, half the handle handle weave needs to come from each side (she turns it round), may be you're not turning it round? The other way to do it is fold the cords in half, pull 10cms towards you, then braid the 20cm handle.

Everytime I try this - some of the ropes end up shorter and I can’t fit the whole piece. I can’t figure out why 😩

After I made the handle on the rod I hung it from an S-hook
