This is the new " Elmont station" going over the Cross Island Parkway. It is attached to the new UBS arena home of The Islander hockey club. It is hoped that people will take the LIRR to games and concerts.
Fun Fact: The LIRR still operates under its original charter from the 1830’s to this day!
