miss Scotts voice, songs... I remember we had him years ago at our local Moose Lodge here in Delaware, he and his band were GREAT, awesome show, and couldnt meet a Nicer guy and WHAT A CUTIE TOO!!!!
WhenI first saw this video I had Scott mixed up with the lead singer for the Maverics but smack me I was wrong. This guy is GREAT!! I hope he gets the break he deserves as he is a great entertaier & has a great voice.
I can hear and see a little Geroge Strait. My dad, Glenn Blackstock said he put a good show on at the VFW in Kosiesko MS. Darn I hate I missed that night.
This guy reminds me of George Strait. Very close in voice and style. I wish they did a song or two together.. Maybe we should petition them to, that is if Scott McQuaig still sings...
Hey Scott, Paul Gray here.... You and I worked in the machine shop at MMW. I know your remember that place. You, me, Donnie Beard, Sonny Dean and brother, Danny Cresset, Steve Carlisle and lots of other great guys. I watched you on The Ralph Emery Show when you sang this song. Still a great song. Hope all is well with you friend!
he does a great VERSION??? he wrote and sang it---did he not?? i thought he did---but maybe that's b/c i was so close to all the releases of it and the video??? tell me what u know please?
It was written by songwriter Sanger "Whitey" Shafer, who I think is the older guy smoking and drinking in the black and white cut in shots. The song was originally a hit for Moe Bandy, but this is a great version of it too.
@@jasonnabors681 this version is way better than Moe's cut. It was too twangy for me but every era has it's own twist so it depends on which era someone was cruisin through.
@@pbailey232 I liked the Moe Bandy version for that good 70's sound. The McQuaig version is a little more peppy, bringing in sort of an early George Strait kind of feel.
Oh wow! This is a beauty. What a voice, reminds me of George Strait. Amazing guy this Scott McQuaig. Stay on buddy and give us more pure country.
Real country

I met this guy in Meridian, MS, and he was a very nice person. It is too bad that he only had two hits aired on the radio as he is talented.
