Awesome thank you , I find these kids trailers always during bulk trash every month , I try to sell them on Facebook but no one buys them . I thought of converting them into bike trailers and I’m glad I found your video. Many thanks
After seeing the prices for new cargo trailers, this became my plan. Good to see that it's completely doable. Used kids trailers are way cheap, and this way I can customize it exactly how I want.
Tidy job. I'm just doing the same, converting a derelict Raleigh kiddy trailer into a cargo trailer. It's been lying outdoors in Scottish weather for years and everything is rusted solid, absolutely siezed, but I'm getting there. I scrounged it for free from the house owner. A nice touch on yours would be to set the tow hitch up so that the trailer rides level. I'd also do something about those sharp top corners on the box - you're quite fussy on finishing so why don't you buy some aluminum strip a little wider than your planks are thick, drill and countersink holes then screw it to the tops of the box walls as a finisher? You could joint it neatly at each corner then round the corners nicely to reduce the chance of injury. Screwed down with smart brass or stainless countersunk screws then polished it would look good and add a lot of strength.
NEW FAN great work . means even more to me as I have been working to convert the same kind of baby bike trailer into a longer inclosed dog & grocery carrier . good to see you getting your boys involved & passing on your knowledge and skills . I try to teach my grand sons but they'd rather be on video games or phones. great idea and video, I'll be watching for more God bless
Nice Job on your trailer. I had to rebuild my trailer because the rats and mice chewed it up the kid seat all the old fabric was trashed plus it stunk like rat pee and rat turds . So I thought the frame was still good so I rebuilt new floor and sides.
@@DIYJIM maybe UA-cam should do that enable that feature in the comments section. I will have to make a video of my trailers I rebuilt two an Instep 16'' wheels and a dreamer design 20'' wheels.
nice cart... As a non US guy that hasn't lived in your propoganda I find the carving is rather bizar though (cue the mindless "but 'murica!" dweeps come in)

I think you will wish you had made sockets or pockets so the side and end panel would be removable for odd sized loads! Nice build! 😊

Nice repurpose, is solar panel and generator code for beer trailer?
Thanks
I love to see that your son is helping you! kids learned through doing and experiencing things with their parents!!!
I’m trying to teach them as much as I can. Thanks for watching
It's not leveled. You might need to bend the arm bar to make it sit more level

Nice trailer but I knew an electric bike was involved lol

This obsessive patriotism is really awkward to watch. US flag on the wall, "god bless the USA" on a fucking bicycle trailer.
Sorry 20 years in the military. Thanks for watching

I don't see you putting on any wheels. As you're doing a lot of painting. I'm about to put the wheels on the trailer like it says
Thanks for watching Ron
Nice build and the the marking/carving looks great! Did you ever try the solar panel?
I did and tried to make a video of it. I blew a tire on my trailer. It really did not help I think it charged to slow. Thanks for watching
