Am Dutch, don’t really follow this competition. Just knew about your channel and got this in my recommended. Clicked on it to see how low the NL would be and I was surprised by how high it was lel.

They did 2 attempts with how it was before but both were so off tune it wasnt even funny so they changed the song so they could sing it

Nah, it is dick rocket, not a nuke. plus please for all of God watch from national finals version, not this. That was real banger, that got everbody in catch with this song. Also, Let 3 is always having some weird symbolism, don't forget album Angela Merkel sere (translation: Angela Merkel shits), or even song which was on national TV, that is only saved copy of it on UA-cam - Kurcem u čelo (Dick in face). Plus roses from asses are ready for Live, can't wait to make simulcast of Eurovision Semi day 1 and UCL Semi day 1 on two displays.

been to coastal Istria(porec, vrsar, umag, rovinj and pula) and to plitvice... you could still see bullet holes in some houses(in Rovinj and Pula, i noticed it and on the way from Vrsar to Plitvice)

Germany should have gone heavier tbh. I think they fuzed pop and metal In a way that didn't feel good. I replied somewhere the same, the screaming parts were so good but man the verses kind of made the song a bit cringe....

The runner up in Germany's national selection was called Lied mit gutem Text - literally "Song with good lyrics", and it makes fun of Germany's failure to do well. I absolutely love it, but I think the meaning would be lost to people who don't understand German.
UK's song has the same structure and basically the same chord progression as France's song, but it's just worse at every aspect, and France didn't even do well

Remember last year people in the UK were giving up on eurovision because it was just torture to see the whole of europe show us how much they hated us. Then out of nowhere we come 2nd and it felt like Leicester had just won the league or something

I am german and this year hurt really bad. LotL wasreally good and their Performance in the final was their best live version of the song yet
And still we got last place. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if germany _does_ withfraw from Eurovision sometimes in the next years, because that was just... not right.
As a Lithuanian, I felt really bad for Germany, they definitely did not deserve to be in the last place.
That said, there were definitely some things that could have been improved. For one, I think the song would have sounded much better in German, that's like the perfect language for metal songs. Secondly, it seemed like they were a bit undecided on what they wanted that song to be, heavy metal or a pop ballad. I personally would have much preferred if they fully, or at least for the most part, directed it towards the metal side. Still, even as it was, it definitely didn't deserve its last place, it was leagues above UKs performance, and much better than a lot of generic pop songs such as Switzerland or Poland.
@@vidmantasb5993 Oh, it wasn't perfect. My brother has known the band for a while now ( they are even from our Town, Hamburg) and he said Chris tends to constantly set his songs way to low for his voice (something you could hear at the beginning) and the English was... not bad, just very cluncky and as a german, I could hear the grammatical german influence in it. I would have been fine with sometthing even like 12th or 13th place maybe, but last is not what we deserved.
Especially not as long as Poland was still on the ballot.

Except for Croatias tractor song, which I liked very much (I mean its weird AND its catchy as hell, what more do you want) and Ukraines and Swedens song (which sounded pretty generic to me), I agree with you full time. I was pleasantly surprised that you placed Latvia that high, bc it was my favourite (with finland) in the first semifinal. And of course Cha Cha Cha goes harder than anything Ive heard this year. It's always a treat when a creator that covers a specific topic talks about something completely different out of left field but you still watch because of channel loyalty and because the creator stil puts a lot of passion just like with the main content.

It's important to note that this year is the first year that most non-Eurovision nations (Most likely including the United States) will be able to vote in Eurovision as part of a Rest of the World televote. You'll have to get a credit card on hand though.

In all honesty, even though us Aussies know that we compete in Eurovision every year, we really don't get into it or give as much of a spotlight to it than we should. There was a string of years in the 2010s where we just sent our XFactor winners from the previous year over to represent

Fun Facts: In 2021, the crossover of Eurovision and the European football can be identified when Italy had won both competitions that year. The UK, especially England, ended up with a disappointing zero points at the same time when England lost to Italy on Euro 2020 Final.

Bruh France got so robbed nearly all th 12 points went to sweden with the copy-pasted generic song, meanwhile France was so bafflingly forgotten. I'm happy that Finland still got the recognition they deserved, but man. I don't think I'll watch next year's one because of that.
Germany and The Uk also were really robbed, but the blame could be adressed to probably their performance. At last, frick Eurovision to have given the prize to a song which copied from way better ones so that the eurovision would be hosted for the 50 years of ABBA in Stockholm.
Overall, the ceremony is a 4/10, bordering on 3. Some countries were decently represented (Belgium, Italy, etc...) but most mediocre songs were way too up in the leaderboard.
And also, the high point of this show was the shock of the audience when they realised Greece didn't give Cyprus 12 Pts. 10 ten betrayal of all time
I didn't expected that video from you, but much appreciated. The only thing i dislike about this eurovision is that we have way too many songs in english. My favs this year are Finland, Spain (after listening to it live), Moldova, Slovenia, and France, i like Austria too :)

I remembered when Jemini started the last place and nul points trend for the UK in 2003. I would watching every Eurovision Song Contest from 2001 and would worry about my country the UK. I figured if we come last at least we had a good time. I love Eurovision so much ❤ Good luck to all the artists and bands this year. I have no idea who is going to win this year.
“….like second Christmas.” Yes! I feel the same way! While I’m an American who has only been watching Eurovision since 2016, I look forward to it every year! This year I watched several of the national finals (everyone that I could watch here in the US that was available on UA-cam or the broadcaster’s website and wasn’t geoblocked [because I’m lazy and didn’t want to use my VPN]). Found a lot of other songs and artists I liked that didn’t even make it to Eurovision. And I continue to listen to new songs by previous artists long after the contest.
I like the few sports analogies sprinkled in. Eurovision is like the European Olympics of music or the European World Cup of Music (or my sister compared it to the Super Bowl of Music because people decorate their homes and have house parties to watch it or go out to bars/pubs/etc to watch it and the interval acts are just as anticipated as the half-time show and the crowd in the arena gets loud!)
