Since I discovered your channel I didn't miss one video. As I mentioned before, you are representing this country better than any ambassador...Life in Serbia is hard for most of the local people but your genuine kidneys bring an instant smile on the face 😊. Thanks once again
That seriousness thing is typically Belgrade, people from other places in Serbia (also foreign tourists!) also have that same impression... It's because people are generally stressed out due to the fast pace of life and that stuff. ..
We just don't treat people roughly for being here. However, we are not at all that friendly, especially toward ourselves. Many foreigners think we are full of positive energy but that's not the case. Those small little moments of smilehood and happiness are nothing compared to the bleak reality of everydays. Although I wish my country is not so foreigner happy. With minimal amount of them (tourists or those who just live here), we would be doing just great.
@@goranraicevic4732 od toga mi nemamo nikakve koristi definitivno kad je nekome draže šta će neki stranac misliti o nama. A i šta god da misle, nama će život uvek biti isti. Ja samo želim da nas ne otkrivaju više.
Serbs are simply not used to mass tourism and they still show signs of humanity while dealing with foreigners... Since the Serbia have more than 3 mil tourist this year, That will change in a decade to come...

You are safe there Im telling you! Its not about the police it is about the Serbs! If a guy would see any woman being attacked he would jump in to protect her/him! Color has no matter in Serbia! No to NATO no to war!
Will you do long vlogs of you exploring Serbia an interacting with locals? It will be nice to see your time there to go along with these type of videos.
I recommend that you visit Novi Sad in Serbia. That is by far more livable and friendliest city in Serbia then any other. People are very nice and friendly and environment is full of positive vibes. You will enjoy I am sure.
Born and raised Belgrader here, I confirm Novi Sad is a really cool city, friendly, has everything to offer, and is more relaxed. It reminds me of Belgrader from my childhood and highschool years when people were more joyous, more chill, now one feels a certain tension in the air. Still far from the stress and negativity in other cities I lived in, like Toronto or Paris, thank God, that's why I came back.

As a Serbian who lived in US for the last 25 years I’d like to give you my opinion of Americans ( both black and white ) I live in Atlanta and I went to school in south Atlanta so I pretty much grew up around black people Black people never looked at me as white American so they would be comfortable around me about sharing their opinion about white people. 99% of black people I was around were racist Also when it comes to safety in the cities most unsafe areas are populated by black people. So stop acting like you have escaped US bc of racism and stop victimizing your self for no reason In US everyone is received well as long as your behavior is normal and positive Walk around Serbia looking at everyone like they owe you something and see how they treat you Just saying facts
@SasaM26 Thank you for sharing your perspective. I think it’s important to clarify the distinction between racism and prejudice. Racism involves systemic power and the ability to oppress another group economically, socially, or politically. In the U.S., Black Americans do not hold the institutional power or capital to oppress white Americans or other groups in a systemic way. Atlanta, and the South in general, has a deep history tied to slavery and segregation. While Atlanta is often seen as a hub for Black success and culture, there are still underlying systemic inequalities and remnants of that history-like sundown towns in some areas-that highlight how racism against Black Americans has been deeply entrenched. I’m sorry to hear about your negative experiences, but I believe what you’ve encountered may be prejudice or discrimination, not systemic racism. Prejudice can exist in any group, including Black Americans, but it’s important to understand that racism in the U.S. is rooted in a historical power imbalance that disproportionately disadvantages Black Americans, not the other way around.

The police are friendly here because you are visibly foreign. Otherwise they can be very rude and unethical towards local people. Just in the past few months, we had a suspect beaten to death during the investigation, as well as an elderly protester brutally beaten in the police station, who had to have on of his testicles removed as a result. But we are glad that you don't experience all those problems. That's why our faces on the street (among many other problems we experiance in an autocratic regime) are 😐
