Weezer are the funniest band to emerge in the 90s because they’re the only ones who thought of writing a semi-sincere love ballad to their actual lawyer
I'll let your comment slide, just because, technically, the dead milkmen emerged in the 80s. (more humourous the Weezer IMHO) ua-cam.com/video/_dvWBwanigw/v-deo.html but yeah, Weezer can embody my sense of humor at times. Hashpipe is pretty funny, to me. & Beverly Hills, it makes me laugh the way Circle Jerks' "Beverly Hills (century city)" does, as well.
"You are the most, you're so rad, you're so fresh and I'm so glad, I am yours, you are mine, show me where and I will sign" is the hardest line of all time.
Here's a fun fact about this song, from Rivers: "This recording was done live to 2-track at LMU for this guy Dale's Junior Recording project. He only got a B+, but it still sounds cool."
This has been sort of my theme song since middle school. My name is Jamie. The blue album and Pinkerton stole my heart in those days! Along with all the garage and punk rock. Sad this song and Mykel & Carli aren’t on Spotify!!
My theme song has been my name is jonas my whole life cause my parents didn't know what to name me, then this came on in the car, and my fate was sealed.
Man I’ll never forget growing up in middle school in the 90s hearing this song and me and my best friend both had it for a girl named Jamie. She moved and we would all 3 way talk on the phone and when me and him felt down we jammed this song out and sang it together. Even recorded a cover of it together and sent here a cd we burned with us playing it. Then randomly after months of phone calls she wasn’t allowed to 3 way on the phone and we were only allowed to write each other hand written letters in the mail. After months of that the letters stopped coming in and I was taught heart break at an early age. The 90s were truly a great time to grow up. This song brought back years of memories and nostalgic moments.
@@ducklikeachicken unfortunately, no idea. This was years before the myspaces and facebooks came out so it wasn't like we could just look up on social media. Im sure shes off doing jamie things!
This song is so playful yet so painfully nostalgic, and I think part of the reason I feel that way about this song is because I know it was recorded with Jason Cropper. I guess see it as kind of a look to what Weezer could have sounded like.
Jamie, what you doing now? What you doing now girl? Why is Rivers not writing every Weezer song with this classic acoustic and distortion mix. Throw a harmonica in there and that’s a Weezer trifecta of perfection.
I've loved this song for more than 20 years. It makes emotional every time I hear it. I love it. Ah, the '90's were not perfect, but I'd love to be back there.

They used the pre-photoshopped cover of the blue album for this Deluxe Edition.
