Do NPC settlements advance over time or faster if you trade with them? Such as, you decide to only sell all wood and animal products to a small village, will it become a town and gain new stores? Do families that have no businesses gain bussinesses over time? If i focus on carpentry, i want to know if i can encourage a town to move into smelting for example, and increase the prosperity of that 1 town, because it has my starting family and or it is near where i decide my own settlement will be. Just curious
It's possible to affect the NPC settlements this way, but understand they grow very slowly due to time requirements for new kids to become adults (except Bone Wraiths, they are born adults). The towns grow with wealth and population (which increases with food and time). Towns continue to expand or fall into ruin during playthrough.
How many settlements are allowed, and how can I reach the LV1 if the skill is 0? It is confusing for me when pay 60 but I don't get anything from the lesson, and the teacher doesn't tell me I can or cannot learn, and grab the money anyway.
Claiming a region on the world map will give you enough Construction exp to get level 1 skill. You can have unlimited settlements right now. Check out the settlement management tutorial as well: ua-cam.com/video/8g3m7CAdSjw/v-deo.html As for the training, NPCs increase your potential, and you'll get actual skill up to that potential by doing things related to the skill.
When haveing an companion that has construction skill it would be nice if you could order him to build. Like selecting builder :D. Just an idear
Companions actually help with building without the need to give them an order. :)
Hi! Is it possible to build a functioning base within an NPC settlement? I’m thinking a house with usable storage and a workbench, for example.

How do you cut trees, I’ve started with woodworking and had an axe but couldn’t figure it out
Right-click the tree, and there will be two options the one with an axe in wood is the cut wood option.
