wow! great instruction ....in such minute detail....I have always loved to watch great jivers , but just couldn't get the hang of it......now rapidly becoming the world champion of my own living room.....ta
Thanks a lot for this lesson! Me and my partner went to rock 'n roll lessons, but the teacher wanted us to count to 6. I found it very confusing to start with 1 after 6, because the music (I'm a musician) still has two more counts, 7 and 8. But when you use Quick - a - Quick, you can keep going and it doesn't interfere with the counts in the music. First video / teacher I found doing it like this and I love it. Again, thanks you very much! Edit: I said 7 and 8 but actually in music it's 3 and 4 in the second bar.
I am just starting to learn dancing and they have us starting with Jive. It's so coo! Thanks for posting such a great vid with details and slow motion, best I have seen so far! Subscribed!
In competition and dancesport, when you use the "Jumping Jive" technique, the Basic in Place and Basic in Fallaway can have the so-called "syncopated flicks" added to the regular school-figure footwork. Every dancesporter who loves to dance jive knows that it is isn't jumping jive without those exciting flicks. So on the counts 1 2 a 3a4 a 5a6 - the basic count in most basic patterns in jive... The flicks will be on the first "a" between 2 and 3, and the other "a" between 4 and 5. The flicks will be on the LF first and the RF second for leader, with the follower doing natural opposite. Of course, the added flicks need to be quite compact, otherwise they will be too high and you will be off-time on the next strong beats. Also... The flick-ball change is used in the "jumping jive" style, while the traditional kick ball change is used in the "swinging jive" style.
Today Jive Basic Routine alone have fun.💃😀😀😀 my shoes not good 👠😢but I happy dancing for good sleep very well tonight. 😴😍🙏thank you nice teacher. 💞💟💕💚💛💜💝💙💓👍
