Recently got one of these babies. I love it.The build quality is amazing and it stands out from the usual 600 naked bike crowd.Especially in yellow. Not had it through summer yet but yesterday was fairly warm and I got stuck in traffic a while.It does get hot but not too noticeable if I don't look at the temp gauge. The power is good.Plenty low down and flys when you rev it. Only down side to the bike is that it hates traffic.Its ok at 10 mph and 30mph but its a dog to ride between those speeds, especially if you're constanly having to adjust. I thought people were being picky calling it snatchy but I really is.But you get used to it and the power and handling makes it worthwhile.
i have do agree with you on the fact that triumphs heat up quick! i have a street triple R and my dad has a strint 900 (from 1995) and they both get very hot very quickly! lovely bike tho man ;-) love triumphs! ride safe buddy
She is a beaut! And I like to think of the minor thermal issues as character building... The only time I really notice it is in traffic on the way home -the fan is on when I park up in the summer. Not a problem now with winter approaching, I think I be glad for the warmth :o)
Nice !! Got the same bike age colour etc but got a beowulf can on it & rental flat bars, they are good if you fancy a change from the clip on's. I hope to go touring on it this summer so if you could do a kit review from your touring gear it would be much appreciated.

Other posts have mentioned your luggage: how much do you want for the lot? Cheeky, I know, but if you don't ask. ..;) I'm about to pick up a 2006 s4 in yellow and will be my daily commuter. For other posters you can try direct from ventura website (call first as s4 models listed from 2003-2005 only) or from chainspeed who are selling complete packages from £209, which is where I'll be going if my offer is rejected! There are some eBay listings, but beware about brackets and racks due to fitments. Thanks and safe riding all.
Heh, I'm afraid I'm still using the Ventura kit, so I must decline your kind offer :o) FYI when I got mine the 'L' brackets had to be made to order by Ventura in New Zealand, so there was a 6-8 week lag between placing the order and getting the gear. I ordered mine before a big trip and got it literally days before I needed it. I strongly recommend better planning :o) You should have a laugh with your S4 -I've ridden mine daily for nearly a year now and she hasn't missed a beat.
Glad to be of help! Though I would always advise a test ride before you buy - one thing I didn't mention is that the footpeg position isn't to everyones taste. Supposedly, taller riders have an issue with them, but I'm 6' 2" and can ride it for hours with no bother :o)
Hi, I've got the same bike, same colour, 2005, I am in Switzerland. I am looking for the passenger handlebar (grip) or the luggage rack that were made specially for the Speed Four. I have looked everywhere, but could not find them. Do you know of a British firm or website still selling this stuff? Would be glad to get them even as second hand items. Thanks!

Cool gear! I have to admit, sometimes after long runs on the bike the idea of renthals really appeals :o)
