I wonder why the people in Taiwan are so friendly. It's really nice that everyone really pays attention to another person's needs and helps them out to the best of their ability when they get nothing in return for helping.
All these costs are only $245.00 USD? It's incredible!! If you travel in the US, it will cost $250 just to stay in a hotel for one night. After the epidemic is over, I must go to Taiwan! Thanks for your video! 💖
Taiwan is great in that there are fountains and hot springs from the mountains to the sea in one day, and there is a lot of culture in the mountains and flatlands.

When you or Sam take these solo trips, you are traveling alone. But, in a way, you're taking us along too. It's fun to watch the video, see these wonderful places through your eyes, then read all the comments. I hope everyone appreciates this time we're living in - When the isolation of a pandemic, or other health issues, can be forgotten for a while as we share in Jenn's excitement exploring this beautiful country. Sometimes, it just hits me how fortunate we all are. Thanks, everyone!

The area you went reminded me a bit of Italy. The houses indoor decor of the hotel looked very western style. I don't think your trip was that expensive. Thank you for putting up the price in British Pound and like I said £185 isn't expensive from my humble point of view. I'm glad you enjoyed your time there, Jenn.
1. You are living the life and I feel lucky that I get to experience things like this through you! 2. The music you picked after the sunrise was BEAUTIFUL and gave me chills 💚

One thing I noticed about this trip (but it wasn't mentioned in the video or by any of the comments) is just how SAFE the entire trip was. Kudos to Taiwan for being exceptionally safe travel destination!

What a gorgeous place, the mountains in the mist were stunning. I really enjoyed getting to tag along and see everything, and finding out the cost. We really need a Carty enjoy going anywhere these days😥 but hey, I can just watch your videos and get to learn about other countries and beautiful places. We’re having the first snow storm of the season today, there’s about a foot down now but it’s a peaceful storm, hardly any wind and there are big flakes just falling strait down. I took my cat out for his first snow experience😂🤣 he took off running until he realized how cold it was, it’s a light fluffy snow so was easy going . Then all of a sudden he just stopped with one paw in the air and didn’t move, he kept looking for somewhere to put his paw down where there was no snow. I had to go rescue him, it was so funny. This is a very exciting video for me because my mum is from Nantou and we visit Taiwan to see relatives every now and then (we live in Australia)! If you visit Nantou again next time, I recommend taking a bus to Sun Moon Lake and renting a bike to ride around the beautiful and scenic lake!! I went in early Feb this year and it was amazing weather and temp. I also love how simple the HSR system is because there's only 2 directions (north or southbound) and it's relatively fast to get from one place to another. And the trip was definitely worth it for sure in terms of pricing and what you get!!
@@LayersOfJenn Sorry I meant a push bike, so bicycle!! You can rent them for a few hours or a day and there are safe cycling paths everywhere around the lake 😄 Although if you visit some areas like Kenting in southern Taiwan, they let you rent an electric scooter (goes up to 40km/h which is more than enough if you're making lots of stops), also highly recommend that with your husband or friend as 2 can sit in 1!

TYSM for coming here, it brought back some of my childhood memories ;^; The farm place was my 3rd grade field trip, the hu-hwan-shan mountain is where I hicked with my class during 5th grade and the mountain behind it is the place where it has a lil village that I made Taiwanese traditional pink red bean mochi as a kid with my mom. I love your videosss~ please make more and more!!! >^
Miss those mountains. I used to do my research up in Da xue Shan 大雪山 and Ali Shan 啊麗山 twenty years ago. Still got heaps of photos of the 921 quake damage which was so scary.
@@LayersOfJenn The questions I used to always get asked were, "why are you come Taiwan?" and "how long you come Taiwan?" hahaha. Cute the way they spoke English.
hi there, I first watched your Yilan and showed to my parents, they loved it. and I watched this Nantou video, I told my mother "I am dying for this!" she acted the same too when she watched. The place is no beautiful and peaceful, the view is so amazing, the sunrise trip is so cost-wise reasonable! my mother said this and I totally agree, your video is so good compared to other people, that you have listed all the costs for us to plan our own trip. We will definitely follow your footsteps, as soon as it's opened for foreign tour again.
@@LayersOfJenn Thank you! Actually it's gonna be my first time to Taiwan LOL, my parents had been to Taiwan a couple times though. This Saturday we are showing your Yilan and Nantou videos to my mother's friend, I am 100% sure she and her husband will be attracted. Wish you all good luck in Taiwan.
I really love your videos, especially this one! I miss Taiwan like crazy and the fact that we are on the second round of the lockdown here in Germany doesn't really help with that :D so watching your videos really helps to lift my spirit!
I have been to many beautiful place in Taiwan, however, chingjing farm is always the favourite place in my travel list(my college classmate father operating a restaurant there),there are many national parks in nantou,I just came from shanlinxi yesterday
I am come form Taiwan , I live in Taichung. I really love your video.. when you see the sunrise, I'm crying too.. so touch.~ wish you can enjoy Taiwan during the pandemic
Have been there twice as a family to see my sons in laws. I can recommend Taiwan as excellent and without fault. The technology of the fast tran is awesome and the people are so friendly and courteous. If you are blonde like my wife then please don’t feel intimidated when approached to have their photo taken with you. They consider it unique to have a photo with a blonde person. The night food markets are superb but you need someone as an interpreter as I was fortunate to have with my daughter in law. Going on the metro is so simple and so so clean. Everything in Taiwan is a must see especially their National Parks. Oh, I wish time would not pass by me so quickly and would love to go back. Miss you Taiwan and your lovely people.
omg, we did exactly same things that you did in your trip. stayed in same hotel went to same restaurant, same sunrise😀 its second most beautiful place in Taiwan after hualein 👍

So happy for you and your journey upward and onward!
Have a nice trip! ❤Recommend The National Palace Museum (Chinese: 國立故宮博物院). It has nearly 700,000 pieces of the most valuable Chinese relics, all of which were brought from the Beijing Forbidden City (Chinese: 北京故宫), very worth visiting! ❤❤❤

I’m glad that others and you found that helpful ~
5 years ago I was there and the scenery was really good
Wow...I wish I get the chance to do this....Taiwan so amazing
Very beautiful in Nantou ❤️
TYSM for coming here, it brought back some of my childhood memories ;^; The farm place was my 3rd grade field trip, the hu-hwan-shan mountain is where I hicked with my class during 5th grade and the mountain behind it is the place where it has a lil village that I made Taiwanese traditional pink red bean mochi as a kid with my mom. I love your videosss~ please make more and more!!! >^
Ohhh it must be a popular place for field trips~ probably because children love animals !
Looks beautiful. Like how you showed what camera you were using on night and sunrise shots.
I actually prefer my iPhone for timelapses because I can’t quite figure out how to work my Olympus 😂
Miss those mountains. I used to do my research up in Da xue Shan 大雪山 and Ali Shan 啊麗山 twenty years ago. Still got heaps of photos of the 921 quake damage which was so scary.
I can only imagine :(
@@LayersOfJenn The questions I used to always get asked were, "why are you come Taiwan?" and "how long you come Taiwan?" hahaha. Cute the way they spoke English.
The mountains of Nantou is where I want to build my dream home. It's a magical place.
Ohhh what a grey spot to build a home!

hi there, I first watched your Yilan and showed to my parents, they loved it.
and I watched this Nantou video, I told my mother "I am dying for this!"
she acted the same too when she watched.
I hope you guys can enjoy when you come back to Taiwan ❤️
@@LayersOfJenn Thank you! Actually it's gonna be my first time to Taiwan LOL, my parents had been to Taiwan a couple times though.
This Saturday we are showing your Yilan and Nantou videos to my mother's friend, I am 100% sure she and her husband will be attracted.
Wish you all good luck in Taiwan.
Omgggg really !?!! I hope they will be. But also I just want to say thank you for sharing my videos with others & helping to promote my channel 😭❤️
@@LayersOfJenn you are totally welcome, in fact, you earned that, you made 2 good videos ^_^
I really love your videos, especially this one! I miss Taiwan like crazy and the fact that we are on the second round of the lockdown here in Germany doesn't really help with that :D so watching your videos really helps to lift my spirit!
Awe well I’m glad to lift your spirit a little. Be safe ❤️
Really!? I use google maps for everything ~
I have been to many beautiful place in Taiwan, however, chingjing farm is always the favourite place in my travel list(my college classmate father operating a restaurant there),there are many national parks in nantou,I just came from shanlinxi yesterday
Mountain prices can be a little expensive compared to normal *but*, I don’t mind paying it because they deserve it!
I am come form Taiwan , I live in Taichung.
I really love your video..
when you see the sunrise, I'm crying too..
so touch.~
wish you can enjoy Taiwan during the pandemic
Thank you~ and I wish for you to be safe too :)
The black tea in Nantou is great
Oh really!?!?
@@LayersOfJenn yes, you can try Taiwan Black Tea No. 18 (Ruby). There are many tea shops selling it in Hsinchu~
@@LayersOfJenn Ruby Red is the most famous Sun Moon Lake black tea.
Miss you Taiwan and your lovely people.
omg, we did exactly same things that you did in your trip. stayed in same hotel went to same restaurant, same sunrise😀 its second most beautiful place in Taiwan after hualein 👍
hahah really!? I hope you guys enjoyed it as much as i did :)
And i can't wait to one day get to Hualien !!
@@LayersOfJenn I recommend Alishan~ its also pretty
Please what’s the name of the hotel? I want to go there asap

JENN!!!!!!! 9.2k thumbs ups! That's insane, so happy for you. I've been watching your videos for so long now and have been giving you thumbs ups because I remembered you saying in a previous video that you were still a small channel and it helped (those videos were around 300 thumbs ups). So happy for you and your journey upward and onward!
We tried to wake up early for sunrise in Nantou last time, but we just overslept >< ! but wow!! It's really beautiful
You should go again 😄
Haha I was worried I would over sleep !
I’ve been there before when I traveled to Taiwan 13/15 years ago! Thanks for the recommendation however 👍🏻
Thanks for taking us along on your adventure. Looked like fun times!
Take care
I had a blast!
Wuling Pass! 3275m above sea level. I was just there on my bicycle a couple of months ago. Beautiful place! Thanks for the video!
Bicycle or motorcycle!? Either way, would have been a stunning view
I've been to Qingching farm for about 5 times, those sheep are always eating.
And, welcome to Taiwan.
Hahaha always hungry. They sound like me 😅😂
The sunrise was so beautiful ❤️❤️
I really loved watching this video. Everything was so peaceful and beautiful, seeing all those friendly people help you was really nice too. When the sun finally rose above the mountains it made me tear up a little haha - it was just so magical together with the music and everything !
In real life everyone was yelling and cheering for the sun haha.
I am a Taiwanese living in Sydney Australia. After watching your video, this is definitely our family's next holiday destination. thanks so much for sharing . AWESOME!
Oh really!?!? I’m so glad to inspire a family trip 😭❤️❤️❤️
@@LayersOfJenn can't believe your video inspired a Taiwanese family haha . We have been living in Sydney 20 years, usually we return home every Jan./Feb. for CNY once a year except 2021.
Merry Christmas 🎄 !
Happy holidays ❤️❤️
Happy holidays💕💕💕
God bless you 🙏🏼
So bold a young lady traveling to a different country in Asia alone is, you keep your heart, mind, and eyes opened and embrace different cultures. Be bold so you can do much of it. 👍
5 star hotel and everything only cost $245.00! It's mighty incredible!
The sunrise was so beautiful!
la la la spicy (: I used to finish work at 3.06 or 3.36! your vlogs are amazing, the stars, sunsets/rises are incredible there hey 🥰☯️❤
So beautiful there!! Also the people are so kind 🥰
Oh really!?!? That’s useful information~ I know the HSR ticket in Chiayi can get you on the shuttle bus for free ~
Wow 🤩 so beautiful! Really enjoyed this video 👍🏻
Thank you ☺️
So happy I discovered your vlog. I'm on a marathon. Love your style! I miss traveling solo. Will definitely visit all these places when I come back to Taiwan. I've only been to Taipei, Shifen and Jiufen haha!
Oh thank you so much!! Def unlocking solo travel here is worth it and so much fun~
