The funniest thing happened to me today. I just picked up my brand new 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and while me and my family were taking the first drive my 13 year old daughter outta nowhere says......Ok dad.....On Throttle 😭😭😭 surprised me and my wife. All we could do is laugh. Love the videos man. That line also earned her a box of twinkies. 😂💪🏽
All that they packed in this vehicle. A power sun roof, super cruise, heated seats, big screen with all the cameras, camera rear view mirror, but I can’t get a power passenger seat. 😂
Thanks for the consistent content. You run your channel like a pro. A lot of people could learn from your work ethic and genuine care for your channel's community. You are a class act and greatly appreciated by many.
Joe - I really like this Traverse and for the price this Traverse has lots interior room and lots of bells and whistles, technologies with infotainment and Super Cruise is awesome.
I am not a GM man, but I am glad credit is given where it's due. GM has been making quite a few interesting products over the last decade, and it's time people appreciate them for what they are.
I have that color on my 24 Trax. Get compliments all the time -- unique color IMO when on the road with black, white and these light blue/steel blue shades of cars now
My wife and I love our new Z71 Traverse, I agree on the red detailing of the interior, it's our least favorite part but everything else that comes with the vehicle is great! Our second kid is on the way and we're excited about the amount of space that we'll be able to get for those long road trips.
I have the Z71 and I actually like the red trim. It's not nearly as red in person as it looks on these videos. It's sharp and the red matches the Z71 emblem.
oh yeah. that column shifter is looking so good. They really turned it around on the Traverse. I was eyeing up a Tahoe for a while but now I'm not sure.
That was a good video, Joe. I enjoyed it. I like the red trim in the interior. GM brands are really coming on strong. The Traverse is proof of that and the price is great. Have a great week.
Actually, the Nissan Pathfinder does have a drain plug in the rear cargo compartment, so it can be used as a cooler. Just test drove one and it was the first thing I checked for and messed around with lol. Great video though! And it is really a tough choice between the two vehicles.
Good overall review. I like what Chevy is bringing with this Traverse. Like the infotainment system and the camera system they have. Blue Cruise and being off-road equipped for 47k seems like a bargain.
There are so many comments in general about the reliability of different brands and turbo engines. Do you have a video talking about the reliability of the turbo engine?
Joe, this particular model is my favorite and one of the things is its height from the ground because of the snow where I live, but I told my wife to buy one and she has told me seven times no. 😂
Great looking mini Tahoe. I love it. I love the red carbon fiber , but not with the green paint job. Also, that door can hold 2 Wendy’s bags. Plus 4 Twinkies and - a 7-11 big gulp to wash it down.
I would've never thought in a million years to expect the Traverse looking so manly, but it's good-looking, though. I think the Traverse should be called the Trailblazer since it was the Susscesor of the 2009 Chevy Trailblazer.
love the dedication to what you do, working hard in the rain. Yes zonk for the exposed wiper especially when the roof spoiler is long enough for it to be tucked in. The Traverse has come a long way. It has surpassed the Explorer in so many way which is a shame because the Explorer has been around much longer. Why would Chevy use the same interior as the RS, taking the cheap route again. GMC has different interiors for the Acadia. No power seats for the passenger is a major zonk.
This and the Pathfinder are very handsome crossovers. But I’d have to pick the Pathfinder. The naturally aspirated V6 will outlast that 4 cylinder turbo. EDIT: The Pathfinder ditched the CVT for a 9 speed automatic transmission. That's why l'm now confident that it'll outlast the Traverse's turbo 4. As handsome as the new Traverse is, that turbo 4 is high strung and doesn't belong in a vehicle of that size.
Probably Chevy knowing most of the vehicles in this class are sold to families of 4 who just want cargo space and flexibility to fit extra people sometimes. People who will place exterior styling over whether or not the in-laws get a window.
Joe, is there a reason GM doesn't put the rear wiper up top on ALL of their SUV's/CUV's? It does make sense to keep it hidden up top; I would also think it would break less being hidden away. Thanks for your time!
i need a real honest opinion. i have a 2021 traverse rs, the downshifts and upshifts from 0-30 and 30-0 mph is absolutely crap. it's so rough and not smooth. is it any better in this? the turbo erks me because i'll hear that it has to work so much harder to move at 80 mph versus NA engine. ill probably just get a tahoe and not worry about all i said. curious to hear your open thoughts.
i have the 2024 rock creek i like the simpler dash lay out and the nav6 plus the 6000 lb towing .would have gotten the z71 traverse if not for the turbo 4 had the pathfinder not impressed me so much .
All I can do is shake my head at the thought of this being about the same price as the Suburban Z71 I purchased barely 10 years ago. Oh, how I'm looking forward to auto pricing in the next 10yrs....
Welcome to the future brother. The new car payment is like a mortgage payment was in the mid 90’s. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE NEW CARS, and will probably leave an arm, a leg and a lung along with a trade in, at the car dealership when I buy another vehicle.🤯😂
Why should you have to forego cooled seats and power adjusting passenger seat just because you want the off road friendly version. Most people will never venture off road and the interior creature comforts matter, even if they cost more. The customer should have the choice. Also, no HUD in a vehicle at this price point is a big miss by GM. Great review as always Joe. Wouldn't an SS version with the CT4 V Blackwing motor be nice?
A competent but not inspiring competitor in the most hotly contested section of the market. 48k is awfully high for a midsize. I think the red trim is fine.
Just bought a 2025 Honda Pilot black edition. I wanted to like the Traverse, but honestly I think we’re done with GM. Our Cruze has been a money pit. My GMC SLT with the junky 8 speed transmission has me underwhelmed. On the other hand our Nissan van and old Toyota car have been outstanding. So we’re trying a Honda this time and love it so far. 🤞
Hey Chevy, you're redesigned interiors are really nice, but if you really want to separate yourself from the competitors put really nice ambient lighting in the interior (ex. Mercedes). I don't understand why in 2024 mfrs are not including ambient lighting as a standard feature. C,mon, get with the times.
Honestly all these vehicles are decently close--but I factor in reliability--I would take a honda--realiability--or a hyundai/kia--good relaibility--tremendous warranty.I went from honda to kia/hyundai products and except for a software update done on my Kona n all have been reliable.
Joe, love your videos but I think it's time to raise the white flag on zonking the rear wiper placement. Although I do agree with you, I just don't think it's gonna happen.
I personally don't understand it. Sure putting it in the spoiler makes for a cleaner look, but it seems the bottom is a more practical place for it as it will clear a larger portion of the lower half of the window.
Its such a shame that you are such a good auto reviewer however nowadays there are no really interesting vehicles to talk about. Chevy got this one right. The shock travel is awesome. Bougie tech, amazing room, it actually handled, and you can hit some light trails.
oh yeah. that column shifter is looking so good.
I really enjoy watching your videos ❤
That is so wonderful of you to say! Thank you for your support!
Needs a second row bench option for this trim and the RS. If you offer it on an LT, offer it on the these.
That would be nice if they did that Brian.
Great review Joe!
Actually, the Nissan Pathfinder does have a drain plug in the rear cargo compartment, so it can be used as a cooler. Just test drove one and it was the first thing I checked for and messed around with lol. Great video though! And it is really a tough choice between the two vehicles.
Pine nuts and they're much better if they're lightly roasted! I'm loving my 2024 Trax RS
I think you’ll find if you’re willing to use a shop vac you can use that back storage as a cooler lol
Good overall review. I like what Chevy is bringing with this Traverse. Like the infotainment system and the camera system they have. Blue Cruise and being off-road equipped for 47k seems like a bargain.
It’s Chevy Cruze, blue Cruze is used by its competitors 😉😄
I like everything about this one, except for that c pillar rear window design. It would look better if that area was all window in the back, imo.
A great review. Love the baby Tahoe look and the blue cruise
Great review, Joe. Good looking vehicle and love the tech. Just wondering how reliable the powertrain and tranny will be.
Still think the Pathfinder rules. But Chevrolet is definitely doing a fabulous job on all their cars.
There are so many comments in general about the reliability of different brands and turbo engines. Do you have a video talking about the reliability of the turbo engine?

This is the Trailblazer Z71 I've always wanted to look like. Muscular and sporty.
The interior looks great! I could eat a whole can of Gold Top nuts in there
Who ever created the red interior dash and door trim should be fired immediately and shamed. WTF is wrong with them.
@av-ru-mi and? so is the RS. Like the guy in the video said, its just plain ugly and they should be fired. Nice comment lol.
I've been seeing more of these 24 Traverses Joe
Can you please do a head to head comparison between Traverse Z71 and Acadia AT4 - ride comfort, cabin quietness, handling, body-roll, etc.
I see what you're saying about the red trim, but it does look good with black exterior paint, in my opinion.
I Love Those Chevy Traverse😍❤️💖🚙💨!
I would've never thought in a million years to expect the Traverse looking so manly, but it's good-looking, though. I think the Traverse should be called the Trailblazer since it was the Susscesor of the 2009 Chevy Trailblazer.

Yeah if u want a real 3rd row seat, get a Tahoe or suburban
I’d purchase the BowTie!

Yes of course & I will drive this only for daily.
Best looking mid size on the market at the moment.

I am sure there is a cost that they do not want to add into the production of the vehicle.
This is closer to what the Blazer should have been.
Wish it had a hybrid engine like Toyota
How much for your redeye, Mr Raiti?
I’m finally ok with a TTV6 instead of a V8, but I4 isn’t going to cut it. Nope. 4 zonks for 4 cylinders.
Big Zonk. 4 cynlinder engines shouldn't be on midsized SUVs.
Its displacement is in V6 territory
Chevrolet Traverse nice.

Do a refresh on the tesla model x
Unfortunately a lot of issues with it being the first year design, (transmission, rear seats, etc..), but GM hit a home run with the design.
Joe "zonks" the rear wiper... and it begins to rain!!🤔😳
Wouldn't call this mid size as it's pretty big. Loved our Acadia.
Shout out Steven.
One of the 1sts
Does anyone know if you can add the bench seat to the second row of the z71 or RS?
That is such a great question.
Do you know if a bench seat is available on Z71 ?
It is not. Only on the LT which is stupid. C'mon GM offer it on all trims.
Looks good but a new engine in a GM is usually a bad thing. Wait a year after all the recalls and TSB’s are remedied.
I like the Acadia exterior better, but I like the traverse infotainment center better.
Although the resale on GM vehicles isn't strong, the reliability is acceptable for the first 40k miles.
Mr raitis ride do you get spoiled by eating chocolate brownie nuts when your wife bakes them lol.😂😂
