As a trumpet player that's literally a whistle with 4 keys (LITERALLY WHO PUTS 4 KEYS ON A Bb TRUMPET) in the vague shape of a trumpet anyways I appreciate the addition of a spit valve on the tuning slide and you held it mostly right considering the construction of the instrument. Also nice durability mine would've crumpled
Edit: yes I'm aware the Piccalo trumpet exists
As a former trumpet player we must not forget piccolo trumpet with a fourth valve I miss playing trumpet just don't have time for it anymore though 🤢
I play trumpet to!
Hey! I play trumpet too, whats your highest note?
@@Sebastian-Bianchi I hit a G above the staff in the ledger lines today 😁 new record. Hbu?
@@hyrumbosen1844 high f pretty much
Who’s going to tell the company that trumpets are brass instruments not wood winds?
And should only have 3 keys...
@@darmocat yeah anyone who has played the trumpet just died when they saw the four keys
@@darmocat yeah, I play trumpet so it makes me so mad that they clearly haven’t seen a trumpet.
@@hamsandwhich7627 I play trumpet and I did. People hate trumpets I guess since I saw this awful “trumpet” and then my friend sent me videos of people misusing their trumpets 😔
@@Aperson-dz6dy big sad
as a violinist- that was painful and i love it
@Lexi omg i was like laughing crying it was so funny
@Lexi i would probably aggresivley sob LMAO
Same girl
even as a non violinist i think its pretty obvious to know which side to hold it on she was just trolling lmao
@Lexi oh lord i dont think i want to 😭
As violin player, i don't know what to say, this hurts.
The bow was really tha most hurtful thing
I play the violin too and I’m a beginner.
That bow was about to snap- I got scared
Yes, that bow🤦! this is my 9th year of playing violin anyway, and I never saw anything like this before 🤣
😂😂😂😂 👍👍
HER BOW HOLD THO-
"Durability Level: Nokia Phone"
the true measurement of the hardness scale...seriously anything to a Nokia phone is "Tis but a scratch", those things are from the Stone Age
Why are you everywhere?
Elise: This guitar is totally my style.
Also Elise: OMG THESE MARACAS ARE SO CUTE!
As a kalimbist/kalimba player for 3 years, i'm really happy that you added this in your video as for me, kalimba is a pretty underrated/unpopular instrument and rarely anyone i meet knows about this instrument (or atleast around my area ..) so im really suprised you do :DD
i play kalimba too and it has 21 keys
Kalimba is great
@@austinassenza7268 That's cool! Mine has 17 keys :')
I bought someone a Kalimba
I gotta say Ling Ling would perfectly play all those instruments
Agreed
The kirby on your moniter 😆 Absolutely stunning
thank you!
i literally did not notice it until you mentioned it lmao
Ikr
YESSSSSSSS
YASSSsSS
Could we get a song with all the cheap instruments next time? 😂 Would love that ❤️
omg this is a great idea! Imagine all the strange sounds she could make...
*light bulb*
yeah that would be cool
@@aramenbowl4679 💡
YESSSS!!!!!!
As a clarinet player, I need to see a cheap clarinet
ME TOO
It says it has 8 keys 😭
Yeah me, my wood clarinet and my plastic clarinet is really offended she bought a instrument i didnt know What was and she didnt buy a clarinet
Same
This kid in my band class actually had a clarinet from Amazon…… it was so awful and he paid like 125.00 for it… he quit…. It also barely made noise past a Bb
As a 7 year violinist that part really crushed me😫🎻 also great job with your music!
Yes, "The Happy Birthday Song" is public domain, you'll be happy to know;
There was a whole court case about it several years ago...
_And public domain won! 🥳🥳🥳_ So play it as much as you wish to,
With any and all inexpensive instruments! 🎺 (even the not-featured kazoo)
[Also, if you're looking for a good kalimba channel on UA-cam,
Tip's Kalimba is the channel that I recommend you look into. 🙂]
nice channel
Listen- Kalimba's are so versatile that you can play any collection or combination of keys, not know what you were doing, and it would still sound amazing.
Me who's a violinist: *Dying watching her trying to hold the instrument right, not even caring if she gets the bow hand right at this point but has it paused and praying she figures it out*
WHY DOES THE TRUMPET HAVE 4 KEYS💀💀💀💀
so there are more notes
And they are called valves not keys
Sorry my bad
@@YourLocal_DumbOneor button
4th valve lowers the horn by a perfect fourth
You know usually people refer to the piccolo as the devils instrument but I think the 4 valves trumpet should be the new devils instrument.
Damn, and I always thought the sub contrabass flute was cursed. 4 valve trumpet is quite the competition.
At 1:15 at the bottom of the box you can see there is an 8 key clarinet 💀
@@tinamarie9136 oh no that’s just as bad!! I play bass clarinet and can play Bb clarinet as well, 8 keys is like removing all the pinky keys and adding just one regular key! Like clarinets have more keys then a saxophone (at least more than a tenor saxophone) btw I play tenor saxophone as well… Those kids toys for trumpet/sax/clarinet are just as bad or worse than the mini guitars you see in the dollar store but they won’t time so they’re worse than the one in this video
If it's an 8 key Bb clarinet, I'm crying
I agree
6:23 at least u can do the finger movements, but girl that bow hold
3:23 the mcr was soo good for that one second lmao
Ik I was dying lmao
@@xoxo_radiohead omgggg u like them
@@JSExplores yes I love them!!
@@xoxo_radiohead Same! love the three cheers albumb
"You're really not that ugly, you're actually kind of cute". Elise's creativity knows no bounds.
Edit:why is it sad that this is the most amount of likes I've ever got lol
The way she held the violin on the first try… IM CRYING OF LAUGHTER
Same like how would u hold like that. It’s so weird lol
This Kalimba you received sounds really great. This brand is also amazing. They started as a small business and they have this thing of planting a tree for every kalimba they sell. I have one of these and my beloved shiny Kimi. Both sound so beautiful!
5:48 I CANT
Ok can we just take a moment to thank Elise for that beautiful performance with the “ Trumpet” 🥹 so inspirational ❤️💀😂
Got to say Elise vibing to classic music on a plastic violin made my day
As a violinst, I was reduced to hysterical laughter and crying due to the fact that
A) A violin was held in such a way
B) the "bow" wasn't even made with reals horse hair
and
C) The violin was a TOY (how dare the creators make such a mockery of a marvelous instrument?!)
JK, I'm not really that much of a music nerd/jerk. The only thing that really bothered me was the bow.
Also the stick of the bow was curved upwards instead of downwards
@@annamunzar8548 yeah!
yeah ikr that bow EEeeewww
even as a viola player it hurted my eyes x'(
@@m9l0m6nmelkior7 I think it hurt the eyes of every string player...
@@evelynrowenadawn yes i need to go bleach my eyes now.
Your videos are so much fun!
My roommate and I both bought fairly cheap Kalimbas and they are honestly pretty good. I recommend learning 'Sounds of Silence' Its instantly recognizable and super easy on Kalimba.
i love playing my kalimba, it has such a nice calming sound for when im stressed
Ooo, nice
Same kalimba is my fav instrument
where did you buy your kalimba?
@@Sunny_Blue0 I got mine for my birthday

Fun Fact: if I am correct that Kalimba would be 75 dollars (u.s) Also some tips for to playing growing out your thumb nails will help plucking the keys . Another quick fact the kalimba is also called the Thumb Piano 🎹
“It has a cute little heart keychain!”

It’s a pick! ITS A PICK!

So true
1:53 amazing discovery! Thanks for sharing
jokes aside, congrats on 2 mil! You deserve all of those subs + many more :)
Great vid!
I have to give love to the baby guitar, as I got my kids one. My son (from 1 to 3) would sit on the window sill and play it (The bug screen was there to stop him falling out and I would be there to watch him) and our neighbor would love hearing it as he would get into his car to go to work.
5:38
"Oh honey, nooo 💀"
I do own a kalimba! They are origanaly an african instrement used to replicate the sound of rain. And yes you use your thumbs. I recommend looking at tourials first (if you want to play). Its pretty simple, I’m sure you will learn it quickly. Good luck!
With how pretty the kalimba sounds are, the rains really must be blessed down in Africa
2:48 thank you elise that is really so helpful
As a violinist I love the way Elise has that sort of beginner confusion of holding the violin. And as a violinist I can confirm that it is FAKEEEE!!!!!!!!! Love your videos Elise!
I meant the violin is fake
I am also an violinist but a beginner some tips?
Love your teacher. They will love you and you’ll be their favorite. Other than that I don’t have any tips sorry
I got so excited when you played that Kalimba oh my gosh- I have around 3 now, as I got addicted after my first Kalimba :))
(The glass ones are the heaviest but the prettiest sounding in my opinion)
@@A_usernames mine is glass lol
3:30 i am pretty sure that was meant to be a guitar pick, but you know, we could always call it a key chain. that's fine too
💀
Guitar players: *I'm not crying your crying 😭*
1:44 As a trumpeter, I can confirm that that is precisely how we play. It helps with our sound.
BRUHHHHH!!! YOU SMILING!!! 😮😮😮❤❤❤❤
2:20 Can we just appreciate this concert she played for us? I love the the tambourine spike at the end! LOL
As a percussionist I can tell you usually professional tambourines, for orchestral uses, costs around 350 to even 800 euros...being a percussionist is soooo expensive!
no offense but string instruments are ranging from 500-16 million for a good one (i want to sound smart srry)
I know it's expensive, I havent had to buy anything because im still in school percussion but i do know it's expensive.
@@UriAutoMotive yes, but you need one violin, percussionists need a huge variety of different instruments
@@mjlynch2842 one violin and bow can cost more than a collection of percussion instruments, it's pricey
@@bluejay9638 a nice marimba can cost anywhere between like 5 thousand and 17 thousand dollars and that's only the marimba. then you have to get a wide variety of mallets because they all sound so different. violins and other stringed instruments can cost a lot, but it's no denying that mallet percussion is expensive.
Killing it with that tambourine
2:58 Me Monday Mornings When I Have School
that kalimba is the simple instrument i NEEDED, buying one rn, ty woman ive watched since like 2018
As someone that's played the piano for roughly 25 years, I've always wanted to try the melodica. And the music producer in me wants to get a quality one and experiment to see what it sounds like in an actual song
Quality doesn’t necessarily matter if you own a Speak Easy though 😉
3:32 I think the heart keychain is supposed to be for the strings
Bro you made my day today is my birthday and I was just looking for a video and decided to watch his one and you sang happy birthday to me thank you
Elise is blessing us with so many videos.
You have actually made this stressful week so much better for me ❤️
Hey Elise!
I started following you a lot of years ago, when you released your Riptide ukelele tutorial/cover hahah
You made me start playing the ukelele and i now also play a bunch of other instruments and found out my dream is to become a musician/music teacher and I'm in my examyear currently so almost time to follow my dreams and get into the music school/conservatory I really want to get into! :)
This is partly because of you, I don't know if i would have ever started this journey if you didn't make me start playing the uke
I'm so proud of you for getting 2M subscribers, you deserve it so much, ily and thank you so much :))
Thank you!!! I appreciate your kind words! That means a lot! Keep up the good work and keep playing!:)
@@EliseEcklund thank you, i definitely will! same to you, you're doing awesome :)
I've been watching her since I was like- 9. I didn't have this account back then so I used to be on my mom's account and would barely get chance to use her phone but whenever I did, I'd search her channel up because I enjoyed her content so much lmao. It's surprising how her old videos feel like yesterday now but im glad that im still here and I'm so happy that she's so famous now
@@reyphobic right?? same here ! i was around 11/12 and im almost 17 now, its crazy honestly, very awesome to see her growth !! :))

Me getting distracted by my chello book but still looking and seeing the bow "me:that bow needs help"
5:30 please help the lingling comunity!
Holy crap I didn't even notice u just made it to 2M! Congrats! Can't wait for the tattoo special
thank you so much!!
.......As someone that plays the violin. I was laughing at hiw you were holdin the bow...... Especially the violin.😂😂
As a beginner violinist, the way u held the bow hurt my hand. Girly I luv u
As a violin player, the elastic instead of the horse hair is so hilarious xD
the keychain on the emo guitar was a pick lol
as a guitar player I have no idea why they tethered the pick to the guitar
Ohhh I didn’t even think about it being a pick!😂 I just thought they connected it to the guitar to make it cute LOL
that was great!
after a sax i like "yoooooo i'll buy it"🤩🤩🤩🤩
in indonesia, it's actually quite common to see the melodica. most schools here had a team of melodica players for the school band, even the kindergarden has a band of it. here, it's known as "pianika"
6:59 Me :waiiit that looks familiar......
*GASP*
ITS THE EXACT PIANO I HAVE
Even some of the cheapest instruments are playable. For young musicians, investing on them would be a great idea!
“Im not gonna throw these” WELL OFC YOUR SUPPOSED TO KICK EM BA- wait are those maracas are balls?
7:12 I just heard the acnh frog tune 💀
hey elise! i haven't watched the full video yet but i know it'll be so funnyyyyyy!!!!

1, this was very hard to watch
2, god bless this soul.

My exact thoughts as a violin player😭
Am a violin player and the first time you hold it omg it gives me chills
I love how the box for the trumpet says wind instrument
Congrats on 2m, you've come a long way ! I remember when you used to have 1k, it's been a while since then
2:33 Funny enough, happy birthday is actually copyrighted. Some company bought the rights to it which is why restaurants don't sing it to you on your birthday.
Not really.
whos gonna tell her the guitars “keychain” was a pick
Not me
I NEED THAT MELODICAAA AND THE KALIMBAA
Miss ya girl! Congrats on the success. Super happy for you!
Elise out here singing Happy Birthday and it's ACTUALLY my birthday omg
The fact that my bday is tomorrow and you sang happy bday made me smile
I think you rocked the tambourine best. Nobody ever said, "I liked that one song but the tambourine was all wrong."
Congrats on 2 million! ❤
I’ve been playing kalimba for like a year and a half and it’s a great instrument
2:22 while watching this my birthday was in 8 days so the tambourine part was heart warming :)
This is my second time watching this and why is her voice so soothing
‘It tambourines like a tambourine should’ why is that so funny to me
Congrats on your 2M subs, you deserve all the success :)
I had one of the saxophones, but all the keys were broken so it was only holes. Had to hold it backwards, but I could play some sick chords lol!
the bow hold had me crying
The melodica seemed like the best of the cheap instruments you bought (really the "trumpet" is a 4-note melodica, but that's boring science). The kalimba is a really nice one, and since it was a gift (cost you $0.) it's the best value.
Learned: Get people to give me great things as gifts.
Yessss
This was my favourite video last year, so I’m so excited to finish this video.
I have a calimba and before I got it I did a bunch of research and you got a really high-quality one
The emo guitar: "it gave me a cute little
heart Keychain"... I'd say it gave you a guitar "pick" on a string! 😆
Hi Elise! I love your videos your so funny❤️❤️thanks for making my day!!
Wow 😄 even the cheapest instruments can sound soo good if you play them 😁
SORECERY
truth
I love your video but I also love your hoodie can I ask where did you get it?
These would be good for kids who are interested in playing but their parents don’t want to entrust them with an actual/expensive instrument
I mean young kids, like really young.
