I run the Continental Trail King tires, and I run them tubeless. They're NOT the Black Chili compound. Just the cheap ones.
Our trails in east Texas are pretty tame though. Not many rocks, and not much elevation to build very much speed.
Ok...I know Arkansas is pretty rocky and these tires just seem to get eaten up!!:) But we have heard of the chili compound, MAYBE????:)

You can get chainring bolts that are rectangle ish that will cover the ugly machined surface of the ixf and like cranksets, also I feel you with the weather been stucks inside for a week and a half practically, and if I can everr get an acolyte derailleur I'll send a pic of my good ol aggressor,

@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS yeah although one thing to note the wire bead ones are an absolute pain in the ass to get off requires tire levers and alot of force, a buddy of mine actually cut oh off with scissors because he didnt have tire lever lmak

@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS they're not inserts, they're super light tubes that are way stronger than regular tubes, I've been running them for almost two years without a flat, there's a set headed your way for the Compzerker
Wow! I looked them up last night and seen they are 78% lighter.

I've used continental tires on my road bikes and my mtb and honestly haven't had one flat and I turned my buddy into them and he loves them. Some people just get lucky with things and some get unlucky. It's odd but life is odd lol

Your dad is correct on how to say my name. They're lutu front fork. Much better grip then stock,and bigger. Pedals were being added on, had the shop install the ixf.

That rockshox Judy silver is a good upgrade over any of the entry forks on the big box bikes. We have one on my wife’s aluminum comp. It made a big difference weight wise but also way more comfortable.

Yes, gonna be working on the sandstorm periodically but it may take awhile...Got some other good stuff coming up though!!
14:00 The method you use is for hardtails, but this bike basically has such suspension design that that the rear end is like a hardtail, the bottom bracket is at the rear swing arm, so basically you can do what you do here, just like it was a hardtail, but that's not the case on a proper suspension design, so to do this correctly on a proper suspension design you have to first put chain on as is, remove chock cus it's a coil shock, and move the linkage so it's at the spot where it would be fully compressed, with an air fork you can take all of the air out, and compress the shock.
you need to make sure the chain length is long enough at the furthest part of the axle movement, this can vary, some suspension designs make the rear wheel go back then forward, some keep it going rearwards, and how far it moves varies.
also chain stay length, the cage length, the jockey wheel size also change how logn the chain has to be, but as you measure it like you do here it does not matter, cus you then find out if it is logn enough, if it was for a hardtail, but this is bike has a rear shock.
so now as you know this, you won't snap a chain on a full suspension bike when you try one with proper suspension design.

I put the same bucklos crank kit on an Axum but the offset has it too far outside, even with the chainring mounted to the inside of the crank arm, so the chain lines up almost all the way to the smallest gear.

I guess a lot of people do. I have urethane on the GT chain stay but with the Acolyte derailleur I probably don't need it.

Awesome vids man! That’s definitely a good price for a nice 1x crankset. I ended up just buying a shimano 3 ring crankset that had those 4 chain ring adapter things on the crank arm for $30. Took off the 3 new shimano chainrings and replaced them with a single $40 Raceface chainring. So $70 and I got some new decent name brand parts. (plus I really wanted the blue Raceface chainring for my GT Aggressor Pro)

Continentals are some of the cheapest tubeless ready tires and they also come free in a package when you buy a set of wtb ST i19 and ST i25 rims that's why you see so much people have them as there first go at tubeless unfortunately they aren't the best so it turns alot of people off from tubeless I think the best cheap tubeless tires are the WTB light fast rolling casing rear and light high grip casing up front easy to set up tubeless fast and grippy not the lightest tires out there but the are the best budget option

Those arms on the crank are called the spider. Should be no problem with mounting the chain ring on the back side. That's exactly what I did on mine to move the chainring in a little closer. It works just fine.
How well did the chain lineup with the rear free wheel? How long is the spindle on that bottom bracket?
WELL THANK YOU DOC!!! Now the lineup was fine and right were we wanted it to align, right between 3/4 straight with the chainring. Now the bb spindle I would say sticks out either side about 2"????

Dont think there is, they used to advertise a hyper 29" full suspension but it is newer and does not have a tapered head tube.SNAIL???WILL DO LOL:)
When you spin that crank, it looks like it isn't centered about the axis of rotation and has a pretty significant hump in it's rotation. Were you able to get that worked out? Or, am I seeing it wrong?

We are having problems with our shifting gears the front derailleur and back derailleur we don’t know how to adjusted it right.
Well is there a bike Shop nearby? The front and rear can get very very hard to tune in once you have messed with them. Even videos cannot do it justice. My advice is to find a local bike shop and see what they will charge. Thanks and hope you can give us an update, good luck

Yes, we have not visited one in a while but if you are ever in Hot Springs, checkout Spa City Cycling. My buddy Walter works there as the Bike pro, he is a great guy. Get the bikes tuned up, go eat and walk downtown then hit up the CATS MEOW!!!

Would my bike build make the cut if I sent a photo? All I've upgraded so far is the tires and the stem. I got Mavic Quest Pro tires and a JGbike stem. So far I've only changed the front tire because I didn't know how to take the rear wheel off at the time I bought them.

Is it possible to upgrade the back hub to An 8, 9, or 10 speed even if I have to my a different derailleur? I have this bike and looking to upgrade.
Then you install chainring on crankset did you use bolts only? no nut needed?
No brother nut and bolt, the set actually came with both:) The crankset spider portion is not threaded.
I figure it out :) 30T chainring had a different design to clear a chain. What is why chainring holes are threaded, you only use half bolt to mount to crank. I wonder if I should use a longer bolt 8 mm vs.5mm.
Hmmmm....not too sure on that one man. I would see if an 8mm would clear everything first:)

Thank a bunch Matteo, now unfortunetly no, you will need a crankset like this BUCKLOS for an easier swap or a IXF to be ale to run the 1X chainring. The GT's chainrings are welded:(

Man I wish I'd have known about this when I rebuilt my 30-year-old mountain bike back up. Getting that bottom bracket out was a cunt . Would have been nice just to slap a square one x on.
I have a question. Can you put boost wheels on the taff?
If you change to a boost fork you could with the front but no because boost means it had a wider axle/hub so it would not work in the rear
Just front would be applicable, the rear is not sized ot for it. But remember the front would require a new fork and wheel. A little pricy in the end and not to mention a new tire!!LOL
