That's actually not true. Plenty of people had those attitudes back then. Just go read Dr. King's own writings about how he had trouble convincing black men who were rioting to stop and do nonviolent protest. It was the same back then. The reason the civil rights movement declined so dramatically was because they literally killed off most of our leaders who promoted radical politics. This is brilliant & I'm sharing the heck outta this! Cheers from Canada brother ✌❤
"I got hit with a brick, on the back of my neck and I marched"😂😂😂😂😂😂
Y'all the Black Panthers existed. Malcom X existed and literally had this mindset lol. The entire Civil Rights Era wasn't just peaceful marching and protest.
People literally forget that the only reason Malcolm X could talk the shit he could, Was because he had the protection of the Nation of Islam, & they eventually silenced him because he was pushing the limit on which he could remain protected with all his reckless talk.
@@ChieftainHawke Indeed. Even still. I think they should be taught as equally important (if not more) figures of black history. Because realistically everyone didn't go with the whole Jesus mentality of peace and eating shit when your getting stomped on.
They went with Martin to make us think marching worked. Does marching work today?
@@rickeybernard8156 malcolms shit didnt work. MLK knew marching didnt work. He got picked off before he could push his black economics strategy. Which was his real end goal.
@@rickeybernard8156 No it doesn't.

Educational?
This shit got my lungs deflated, bro was on point with this one 😭😭!! “I fear I’m integrating my people into a burning house”
This what made king radicalize, he wasn't talking soft before he got clapped by the CIA

We'd be Malcolm X and Nikki Giovanni real quick 😂
Dang, Martin Luther kinda not only fought for black folk but for everyone, because of him and those people with him the civil rights act of 1964 was passed.
"Who invited this guy?" - had me dead
The tremble in MLK Voice 😆.. the details lol. Perfection.
Respectable behavior vs entitled behavior
Don’t sell yourself short if they were killing and tormenting your family the only people that loved you I’m sure most of us would find the strength to fight back and sacrifice. I am grateful for the people that came before me
Me as well but when you look at the history of our people you would know that during slavery over 235 slave revolts happened on ships by africans and Haiti became the first Latin American country to gain it's freedom from colonial rule through a slave revolt, and during the civil right era the black panther used the 2nd amendment right to bear arms because the NRA was denying their right to bear arms so the black panther would take the arsenal and arm themselves with guns to defend themselves against white supremacist including racist cops and to protect their communities and would even march on the white house in Washington D.C. which would eventually make Congress would eventually prohibit anyone from using a gun all because black people wanted to march and protest their 2nd amendment right to arm themselves eventually Congress would then give people the right to bear arms again this time giving those rights to white men "KNOW THYSELF REMEMBER YOUR HISTORY AND YOUR ANCESTORS BECAUSE OUR PEOPLE HAVE ALWAYS FOUGHT BACK AGAINST THEIR OPPRESSORS BECAUSE WHAT WE LEARN IN THESE AMERICAN TEXTBOOKS GOT US PROGRAMMED"
@@ashtonfranklin4620 independence and equal rights and treatment aren't the same, if we revolted and won nothing would change. We would still be descriminated against but with more force now. But by showing how a black person is just as human as a white person would actual change start fighting did nothing for slot slaves look at Haiti now and back then. MLK had a chance to use the system to show how hypocritical it is and it paid off for everyone.
Remember black people were kangz n shiet before slavery. We are all kang, BELIEVE IT!

I’ll take myself to the Malcom X rally…. Yea I felt that one, cause I would’ve been right there with Malcom.
Same.
Malcom was a real one
He was right too. Down to the last detail.
But he got shot also
@@larrysgdzthebest3009 they both got shot once they agreed the media were playing them. Martin was about to denounce the American system as a whole, he died with a 30 percent approval rating I believe. It was low for sure, but the actual number is hazy. Either way, most people ate up the watered-down version. They won and used both figures to push a narrative that still destroys us.
If a black person from today was put back in time, they'd appreciate the 21st century.
