Las Vegas is good, but for a city that size, there should be much more in the way of performing arts such as plays, ballet and opera. You have a symphony orchestra but they have a very small season compared to other cities.
Hi Sunshine..I am planning a move toward Henderson in May. I plan on my boots on yhe ground there in February. I am 67, live alone, looking for 1 bed 1 bath. Any suggestions or are you available as a paid consultant? Thx rkg
Born and raised here in San Francisco and I don’t think I can move to the desert. Nothing about Las Vegas appeals to me except cheaper rent. My brother wants to buy a house there and asked if I’d move there to live in the house. Hell no. Not gonna deal with the hot ass summers. I like the Pacific Ocean and greenery and not shrubs and rocks. So what if it’s open 24 hours? That alone will never reel me in.
Las vegas isnt as cheap as people think it is. Even if it might cost less than popular cities in california, the quality of life there makes the price too high even if the price may seem california cheap, but it is vegas expensive.
Hello Miss Sunshine! Thank you.. Fun video! One thing, You forgot to mention there are now not one, not two, but three "Jollibees" in Vegas during your food section... America's fav fast food place!! :) Salamat

Hey there, I’m a new subscriber and have been researching to possibly move to vegas in a year. I’d like to first say your videos have been helpful and for the times me and my gf visited Vegas we absolutely saw it as a possible place to live. We are coming from NYC so we want to be pretty confident in that move my major two concerns that maybe you can help me with are ratings/reviews for most apartment complexes and pricing not matching $800-$1000 range for a decent at least one bedroom apartment. How do you find good reliable apartments?
Try searching for condos instead if you're having trouble with finding apartments you like! Rent has been going up in apt complexes over the last couple years. It may be a little tougher this time around bc security deposits/advanced payments are crazyyyyy (landlords paranoid about people taking advantage of the moratorium)
Thanks for sharing! Looking to move to the area within the next year or so, this seems pretty consistent from what I've been hearing. The food part was new, but definitely a good thing to hear!
Excellent review! You communicated a lot of information! Great job! A couple of opinions on Las Vegas. The weather is sometimes spoken of inaccurately. Living in Phoenix I know how weather gets exaggerated. Like when they say its 120 degrees here in the summer. Fact is there have been only 3 days in the history of Phoenix where the temperature hit 120 or more. As far as Las Vegas goes, again, Ive heard that the temps ave. 115 degrees in the summer. Nope, the average high temperature in Las Vegas for June - August is 104 degrees. Plus, the humidity is relatively low compared to just about any other city in the USA. Most people don't realize that it gets pretty cold there in the winter and the other thing is the wind. It gets quite windy in the spring especially and sometimes days on end where it just doesn't stop. However, considering everything, the weather is great and so is Las Vegas. I lived there in the 70s 80s and visit often now. There is so much to do and the casino amenities are off the charts. If you like to gamble it is the ultimate city for sure! Take care and good luck with your channel! best to you, Rick
Cost of living is good for Vegas, but climate and lack of scenery is bad. Let’s also not forget a lot of the homeless also comes from people with gambling debts too as people can also gamble their own houses in Vegas (crazy people at least).
Thank you so much for this video! I'm from a VERY small town in Oregon and I have been to LA 5 or 6 times and Vegas 2 times and I LOVE cities. If prefer to move to Cali but it's just way too expensive. Vegas townhomes that I've looked at have amazing prices that blew my mind. I have a couple of questions! 1. Is it scary/ very dangerous? What's the crime like and will my house be safe? 2. What are the jobs and wages like? I'm a waitress and considering going back to exotic dancing because I love it so much, but I worry that Vegas may be over saturated. 3. Any knowledge on colleges there? I plan to Major in 2d/3d animation and LA is the ideal spot but it's just way too expensive there. 4. Is the heart manageable? I have 3 very well behaved cats and I worry that they'll suffer.... Thank you so much for reading and thanks again for this video!
Update for anyone watching this in 2023 and beyond: THE COST OF LIVING TALKED ABOUT THIS VIDEO IS NOT REFLECTED IRL ANYMORE 😭 it got crazy after the panini rip. house hunt at your own risk 🥲
Is there anything to do besides the strip? I'm asking because I'm not a nightlife person. Are there anything like museums, recreational areas, or Zoo's like there are in LA (where I live lol)?
I'd say yes there's a lot to do outside of the strip, just depends on what you're into! We have a ton of parks/recreational areas. I think over a hundred. Spring Mountain Ranch is nice, it's usually cooler temperature wise and they even have horseback riding. We have some museums like the Neon Boneyard Museum (retired hotel signs), the National Atomic Testing Museum, Pinball Hall of Fame, Zach Bagan's Haunted Museum (big pass for me LOL), and the Mob Museum downtown is SUPER cool. I've spent hours in there.
We are considering moving our family there within the year... i have noticed that most of the homes don't have yards/grass... which is understandable with the heat/water ect..but we have 4 dogs, which not coming with is is not an option, how do people with dogs deal with it? i was told that it is illegal to leave dogs outside there..which my dogs live better than we do, so we don't even leave them outside here..but we have a fenced yard with grass that we just let out to do their business then head back in.... this is one of my big concerns...
You know, it is kind of common for some neighborhoods to straight up not have backyards. That's weird to me, I'm not into it. What I've noticed is that older houses are the ones that usually have the spacious yards. Newer houses have yards too, but they're usually not too big. You definitely should never leave your dog outside here in the summer, in fact it's actually necessary for them to have booties to protect their paws from the hot sidewalks! If you have a grass yard to just let them out that totally works though. Dog parks are a way of life for dog owners here too, there are lots of them.
I'm glad you mentioned the population because where I live right now, in the PHX-AZ area, it has at least double the population in PHX then Vegas, and the counties they are located in, my county has double the population as well. Gives me another reason why I may end up moving to Vegas in the near future.
I'm so glad I found your videos!! This is the second one i've seen. The first one was your "best and worst and okayest places to live in Vegas." That was a great video, lots of good info. You're so darn cute too. I've been living in Hawaii for the past 45years!!! My god, I can't believe it's been that long!! The cost of living here, is astronomical!! The infrastructure here, is managed POORLY, our local government only knows how to do one thing, and that is raising taxes. Everything from property tax, gas tax, also utilities are very expensive here. There's no jobs here. I have 16 years experience in the medical field. More medical support positions, like O.R. tech. But I can't find anything!! I really want to move to Vegas, before I get too old to enjoy it, lol. I'm excited to watch more of your videos! WOW, when you were talking about the rent prices, I almost fell out of my chair. I live in a 61 year old "bug palace" 1bedroom, for $1,300.00/month, 500 square feet!!! So many Hawaiians have moved to Vegas. My goodness, they even have LnL Hawaiian plate lunch restaurant there!! (This is getting long, lol.) So I guess I need to find a job first, right. Preferably, hospital jobs. Not too high rent if possible. I'm going to do this!!! I'm hoping and praying, this year! Wish me luck. Thank you for all your help!! As soon as I finished watching this video, I subscribed to your channel, and I hit the bell thingy. ALOHA!! Kenny

You're extremely healthy and fit, so you dont strike me as someone who eats a lot in general. That's what I'm afraid of actually if I move to Vegas I will definitely gain weight especially if everything's 24/7!

If you don't drive Vegas has great bus system. Almost every main Street has bus. It's cheap fun and you never wait long. You can sell your car and move to Vegas. But the heat my God it will burn your skin.
I am looking to relocate as a counselor to vegas, applied to several jobs. How is it there for a 30 something there moving alone (annulled marriage lol) Also, if I don't have a car right away, are there ways to get around for a few months? Thanks so much!
Well, if you eventually want a relationship out in a city like Las Vegas, good luck with that. In short, not including tourist ladies, there are five men to one man. As far as public transportation, it’s not that good. Los Angeles is faaar better on that note.
If you are in the strip, then, you won’t need public transportation as there are trams, walkways, and tunnels that link between casinos. However, if you want to go out of the strip, then, yes, you will need a car. I don’t know how the buses there work. Honolulu has a decent public transportation system, but they only take cash.
Money Making Bear no you’re right, that’s definitely a good point. Admittedly an oversight on my end as I did a quick google search for Las Vegas in the middle of while i was speaking in my video which is how i ended up with that. Kudos for that catch! So to clarify for anyone wondering: 650k is the population for the city of Las Vegas itself, but you can also take into account the surrounding cities: Henderson and North Las Vegas. Or even all of Clark County if you’d like.
Even then, with millions of tourists, 2.3 million wont mean much. West yellowstone has a population of only 1100 residents, but 10,000 tourists come each day, so population doesnt mean anything in tourist attractions.
Thank you, I am new to your channel, we plan to retire in Las Vegas, Are apartments easy to come by with amenities. We are also considering a house to rent. We want make good choices. Any advice or suggestions.
Hi!! I have a neighborhood breakdown vid right here: ua-cam.com/video/9gghhJX6eOA/v-deo.html - I would say all the "nice" parts of town I mention are not surprisingly pricier, but the part of the video where I talk about the "very okay" parts of town (lol) are usually decently priced! Also the Northwest area (which is nice and pretty safe) i hear is really affordable, just very far from everything if you don't mind that. I have a friend up there with a 6 bedroom house whose mortgage is somewhere around $1200? If that's the case for a house that size I can only imagine what the apartments and smaller houses are like!
What do you do for a living? Are you independently wealthy? Was your dad a career officer? Cheap rent in rural America is $300 a month, bills paid. What part of town is tent city for the homeless? How does anyone afford a $1200/mo apt working for $10/hr? There's no money in hospitality unless you're the hotel manager's nephew with a military haircut, pretty teeth, and sucking up with a kiss ass personality. How much do butlers wearing white gloves make delivering fruit baskets to the room?
No way 600,000 live in Vegas, you didn’t look up the Metropolitan of Las Vegas that’s like 2.3 million people, but that’s a common local mistake, one been in Vegas for 21 years now, love your videos
It can really seem that way. While nowhere is 100% safe (not just in Vegas, but in a lot of bigger cities), there are definitely "nicer/more expensive" neighborhoods with less crime. Typically that's the NW part of town, Summerlin, South/Southwest, Green Valley, and Henderson. Henderson actually ranks in the top ten safest cities in the U.S. every year. I live in Henderson and I love it.
@@SunshineMalaya is drunk driving a major issue there. i am so scared that i move my family there (henderson) and a loved one gets hit by a car because there are many drunk drivers

Please don't bother with a Pros and Cons of living in Vegas or 10 Reasons to Live in Vegas because there are 10 million videos already on this subject and I can already tell you what your video will say before you even make it.
Thx rkg
I’m thinking about moving to Vegas from Philly within a year 😌 I can’t wait for the experience!
Drink lots of water I had to go to the hospital once because I got so dehydrated
@Ns Khiii Yo me too.I love the city but its time too move
Yessss be very intentional about hydration out here!!
Lirah Lokita Exactly! Move onto better things 🙏🏾
@@user-rr7du4ds2x yeah, vegas is always in a drought. It gets only four inches of rain per year on average.
Moving to spring valley area on Saturday , pretty excited.
I’m moving after summer, you just hyped me up!! 💗💗💗😂😂🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Hello Miss Sunshine! Thank you.. Fun video! One thing, You forgot to mention there are now not one, not two, but three "Jollibees" in Vegas during your food section... America's fav fast food place!! :) Salamat
Best looking Las Vegas lady on UA-cam ! Great advice too
Why is this sooooo accurate 😂 I was like yuuuup! Yessss!!! OMG YES 😂
Glad it's not just me thinking these things then haha!!
My family moved to Vegas from LA and they really like it. Every time I visit we go eat sushi because I can’t get the variety and quality where up I live
Thanks for the video i live in San Diego and plan to move to Las vegas in march and your right the traffic in San Diego is annoying and getting worst plus the rent prices are wild and expensive to live in..
John ra what are the positives of San Diego? Did you enjoy the nightlife? Is there lots of stuff to do?
@@theamethyst93 The good things about SD are the weather of course it does have a nice weather and there are a lot of things to do like go to beaches,go to the fairs, theres sea world, san diego zoo and legoland, go to the downtown thats the heart of the nightlife in SD theres many things to do just if u move here be prepared for the rent cause the rent in SD is expensive ... it be better if u can come and visit to see if u like it
Hey there, I’m a new subscriber and have been researching to possibly move to vegas in a year.
True, but Vegas gets hot even in the winter actually, but yeah, both places can have a few cold days every year.
I want to move there but im a local truck driver so idk if i can handle the heat
thank you sm !! love your vibes :))
Update for anyone watching this in 2023 and beyond: THE COST OF LIVING TALKED ABOUT THIS VIDEO IS NOT REFLECTED IRL ANYMORE 😭 it got crazy after the panini rip. house hunt at your own risk 🥲
Like your sense of humor :)
Is the cost of living still good?
What about the weather?
What is the dating scene like in Vegas as a Local ?
I live in Los Angeles and about done out here. Was thinking about San Antonio or Vegas. We shall see....
absolutely CAN NOT wait to PCS here! oml
love san diego been here for 7 years, but its time for a change. SO Im thinking this might be it.
I'm from NYC and ALOT of stuff closes early except a few bars, this is a good vid thanks
Can you call me
We are considering moving our family there within the year... i have noticed that most of the homes don't have yards/grass... which is understandable with the heat/water ect..but we have 4 dogs, which not coming with is is not an option, how do people with dogs deal with it? i was told that it is illegal to leave dogs outside there..which my dogs live better than we do, so we don't even leave them outside here..but we have a fenced yard with grass that we just let out to do their business then head back in.... this is one of my big concerns...
I lived in las vegas since 2005 and they have no beach and during the summer is hot
ALOHA!!
Kenny
Awesome video! I really enjoyed that. I plan to move to Vegas in a couple of yrs...Go Raiders!
I'm moving at the end of October. 24 years old software engineer, finally getting out of the hell hole called California. Any recommendations for me?? Looking for an appartment 2bedroom for around $1200 a month
Tristan software engineer🤔 my gf and I are looking to move out there beginning of next year. I’m a 25 year old business owner myself. Are you down to do some networking?
@@KissMySaaSNice man, Yup. I enjoyed up moving to spring valley area. My move in date is on Saturday it costing me about $1,800 only $600 deposited + prorated rent just fyi. I'm a pretty busy person man not going lie, i'm down meet up for a few beers one day though...
Yaaasss lol good luck with you both 😂🙌🏼🙌🏼
I don’t know if 1200 for a 2 bedroom apartment is possible.
I tried to look for a one-bedroom apartment in New Jersey, and the rent was more than double of that.
You're extremely healthy and fit, so you dont strike me as someone who eats a lot in general. That's what I'm afraid of actually if I move to Vegas I will definitely gain weight especially if everything's 24/7!
Wow she's beautiful but yea this video is pretty much spot on.

How do you spell the name of that food??
The restaurant opening up is called Zippy's! Sorry about that little glitch in there!
How's Vegas now especially with Covid? Are people really struggling to get by
Hi Sunshine
Are you working as a realtor?
I like to get in touch. I like your style. 🌞🔥🔥
I've heard health-care is very poor if you ever need a doctor or hospital for anything. Is that true?
thanks for putting your perspective in a nice way! I hate looking into why I started moving personally I never like moving a lot, currently I rather live out of hotels before I turn 30 :)
Living in Texas now and military brat great advice.
Thanks for the info you are the Best
Lived in Las Vegas from 1988-2004. I can relate.
Keep Making videos Pls. informative and humorous!
Great insight! Thanks for sharing !
Amazing video cutie! btw amazing story telling for Las Vegas, I used to live there few months but You made me give a series thought now lol...Thanks sweetie ;)
Agon - New York
The closest Carrabba's to Cail is in Vegas. Charleston 8000 block by Summerlin. YUMMY =P--------
Hello im thinking of moving i wanted to ask what are the good jobs there .
If you don't drive Vegas has great bus system. Almost every main Street has bus. It's cheap fun and you never wait long. You can sell your car and move to Vegas. But the heat my God it will burn your skin.
Hi I just came across your videos as we are planning to move to Henderson. Is your name sunshine?
Metro Las Vegas is 2.3 million people. You have to look at an entire metropolitan area when defining a population
Howz life going for you during covid?
Where do you think is the best place to rent an apartment? being very nice and not more than it is worth.
Thank you, I am new to your channel, we plan to retire in Las Vegas, Are apartments easy to come by with amenities. We are also considering a house to rent. We want make good choices. Any advice or suggestions.
Vegas here I come
What are some of the good areas to live ?
Great videos! I am relocating and working in Las Vegas,NV 89128 on N Buffalo DR. What advice can you give? Thanks.
I'm from the East Coast and live in Vegas now. In N Out can stay in the west coast LOL. It's not that good tbh Shake Shack is where its at.
💙 your videos. You're so pretty 😻
Houston Texas here 🤘🏽
Great VLog! Loved every minute! #Subscribed 🖤❤️🖤
I'm moving there from Honolulu. It takes an hour to drive 9 miles, or at least it did before the Apocalypse. Getting out of here before life restarts.
I just can’t get with that extreme heat. As a Midwest native I cannot handle extreme heat. The hottest place I can stand is San Diego
My 1 bedroom apt is 1400, just moved in but this video is ancient 😂
Dude!!!!!! The Peppermill!!!!!
That place is crazyyyy
Lol, you are informative...... and entertaining
Where are some good affordable places to live in Las Vegas?
Lotus Kurosaki right! Tryna move there
@@throwingglitter1 ive been worried because i dont want to just live anywhere or have no where to live at all. 😥
Ur fun person
What do you do for a living? Are you independently wealthy? Was your dad a career officer? Cheap rent in rural America is $300 a month, bills paid. What part of town is tent city for the homeless? How does anyone afford a $1200/mo apt working for $10/hr? There's no money in hospitality unless you're the hotel manager's nephew with a military haircut, pretty teeth, and sucking up with a kiss ass personality. How much do butlers wearing white gloves make delivering fruit baskets to the room?
Lmaooo
She worked a 120 hours a month, which would be roughly 30 hours a week. It is possible she split the rent too with someone else.
THIS IS A GOOD LOOKING PINAY.. :)
Born and raised in Las Vegas
I need a date. Xoxo... Love your energy
You could do without the music so you could get heard
how about the dating scene ? is it great for singles
Holy $8,000 definitely moving to LA now
No way 600,000 live in Vegas, you didn’t look up the Metropolitan of Las Vegas that’s like 2.3 million people, but that’s a common local mistake, one been in Vegas for 21 years now, love your videos
600,000 is just for the city proper of Las Vegas. The entire Las Vegas valley, 2.3 million sounds reasonable.
What abt crime? Im moving in 3 weeks it seems nowhere is safe
@@SunshineMalaya Yep i'm moving there soon all set to go.
@@SunshineMalaya is drunk driving a major issue there. i am so scared that i move my family there (henderson) and a loved one gets hit by a car because there are many drunk drivers

If you want maximum safety, live in a suburb in the Midwest.
