I just wanted to tell you, I was watching this and my 12 year old son was sat nearby, he said he’d been listening and found this so interesting, and when you said you’d be sharing a video of the process, he said he wants to watch it too, AND he is going to tell his Geography and Science teachers at school on Monday about this ☺️

Congratulations on finding water Martina, that’s wonderful.✨ You two are far more patient than I am. Angelo wouldn’t get a dime from me, he doesn’t deserve it.🙅🏽‍♀

Thank you for sharing everything this live! I had mentioned the other time I’m am a geologist and was so curious about how this would go and the type of geology you have there. I’m so happy you for you and Micke that you got water so shallow and that you had a good geologist backing you up.
Wanted to say that i used to work where I was often the only woman working with drilling crews in rural places, I totally get that feeling of having to manage the men and how draining that can be! Also yes, drilling is so invasive and i often felt really bad witness it so much and would apologize to the earth for the violence it felt like :( Im so glad you had the experienced driller who made you feel better, it is true that drillers are very intuitive in their knowledge and can be so great to work with. Mother Earth truly is so resilient and she wants you to have water because you will cherish it and feel not take it for granted. Anyway just want to know I see and hear you with all this

Oh yes, I hoped you'd comment or watch this because I remember you are a geologist and wanted to know your thoughts on this but I forgot your youtube handle! So incredible the work you're doing, being a woman in that field (and in many others) is so challenging.
Your connection to the earth is so admirable and profound because you don't only know so much about her structure and layers but you also can feel her!
I'm so glad there are people like you on this planet! It makes me have hope and feeling safe for the future.
Your work is so important and your being is too.🤎⛰thank you for sharing this and commenting again 🙏🏼🤎

@@wegrowild aw thank you for being so kind! I feel so privileged to be always learning about the earth and her history & stories. Every rock and layer has a story to tell, we just have to know how to interpret it. I am no longer needing to be around the drilling rigs which is good because as you know it can be draining when you are not numb to the invasion and violent feelings it brings. It felt like I could never express how I felt that except to my sister, since I didn’t want to be thought of as a silly sensitive woman on the job!
PS I’m em/emma over in our little community and wanted to say I’m so grateful that you’ve created this space and the wild allies community to bring kindred hearts together!❤️

Wow two stories, that taught you a lot! Yes, sometimes we have to let out our inner dragon. What a nerve this window builder got. I would have sent him a letter (inscripted, so he can't tell - he did not recieve it) saying: we want our window as said to date xyz for price abc, or we cancel the contract. Something like that. Unbelievable!

    Hi Martina,
Great live, great stories. Here’s a poem that came to mind while listening. Love to you ❤
    Renaissance
    a poem by David Gate
    We have no female equivalent
    to the term 'renaissance man'
    because a woman who excels
at many talents, in many areas,
is so typical we simply call her
    a woman

Wow! What a poem! Not sure if I feel sad or proud when reading it, or maybe both!?

You are such a beautiful soul! I totally understand your feelings about the drilling. I felt it even just listening to you. I love following your journey and your knitting. I'm your age and live in an off grid cabin in the mountains of norway with my bf and two dogs aswell ❤ Living (and knitting) in such a beautiful and peaceful place like we both do is truly a privelige!

We are beings of water. I was really touched on your strong connection to your land. As women we are more in tune to nature but it is surprising when men recognize the power of intuition. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.

Gotta admit, I fell asleep on you during the live stream (it was 3am after all lol). My well is a bit shallower than yours. The price is about the same here in NY, too. I used a dowser to figure out where to drill. I did hit water at a shallow depth, but it wasn’t a strong enough source. Only 4 gallons/15 liters per minute, so we kept going deeper. I stopped him at 12 gallons/45.5 liters per minute. That provides a good recovery so I don’t have to have a reserve tank in the basement. I’m surprised they didn’t give you those numbers so you would know where to stop them.

You know you wont recommend Angelo to anyone. Don not pay him, till the frame is in and that the glass when installed, will fit. Get Angelo to give you the finished frame measurements for the glass company so you know it will fit. I hate men who think they can rip off women. I now get my husband to deal with them. The drilling company should know the area. Roughly how many metres down they need to drill. Its not always about going deeper. Its how far down to where the artesian aqua filter is. The deeper you go, the quality of water isn't always as good. As in, not drinkable. Here in South Australia its about A$300/m for water bore drilling. We had to apply for a permit to have the bore drilled, then register. If you are in a gold bearing area, sieve the waste soil as there might be gold in it. Our bore pump which is in our shed, the pipe blew off twice last week, flooding the shed twice. Thank goodness all my wool fleeces are stored up on shelves off the floor. In the older days, there were water diviner's who held a copper wire and as they walked to the area where water was, the forked copper wire would turn down to the earth. Bring the seedlings inside of a night so the mice dont get to them. I planted spinach, cauliflower and brocoli.
