I tried your way a little different. At 1:04, was already enabled, but i disabled it and then enabled it again, and select start. It works.

@Jack Liu Hi, what OS you have? I did that on Win. 8.1. It's NOT official solution, just a try that i made. Did you select start after disabled and enabled? When I chose "start", immediately, the icon appeared again.

When I click on the background tasks infra... thing it doesn't open
same problem what did you do??
dont click on there, its an error on the video, just go down and click on the nvidia choise.
Look u have to click (but not double click) and press n after
Glad to see i'm not the only one with this issue. I tried this fix, but my nvisia container LS was already set to automatic. i disabled and enabled again, still nothing happens, very annoying.

worked for me. it was not disabled but the trigger was set to manual so I changed it to auto and started the service. thank you.

my nvidia display container LS are missing please help me
have you tried updating the NVIDIA driver?
It's not listed on my laptop
Problem arose after switching to win 10 1803 build
Drivers r up-to-date as per the Nvidia website
Control panel works on older version of Driver but graphic card doesn't (opened the laptop, the fan runs)
After driver update Graphic card appears on task manager and dxdiag tool but cannot use it(control panel missing)
Cannot switch between the two graphic cards

It's on automatic and status on running, both Intel and nvidia died after a windows update

Hello my friend. I have done whatever you said but my problem does not solved. I have a K555L asus. I can see the gup In device manager. I have installed updates but I can not see nvidia control panel. I have tried so many drivers but none of them had work. My gpu is 940m , my cpu is i7 5500u and my main board is x555LD rev 3.6. could you please help me?

Right-click and choose Properties. From there you'll be able to change it disable or enable.

Maybe the settings are different for newer NVIDIA cards. So, I'd suggest posting in the official NVIDIA forum: www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/discover/
