Thank you for these beautiful videos! I was especially interested in the remarks about vocal range. For centuries, Western music has recognized four basic ranges: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. More recently Westerners have developed additional, more specific terms to more precisely characterize voice types, such as mezzosoprano, contralto, countertenor, and baritone. Does Indian classical music have equivalent categories?
Thank you mam for your valuable information about mistakes which occur while singing, and i request u mam to please explain two things, 1.what type of food should singers avoid? and 2.what is the best time to have singing practice?
Avoid overly spicy, oily food and food in extreme hot or cold temperature. Junk food, caffeine and alcohol dehydrates the vocal cords. Singing practice is best done early in the morning when the vocal cords are relaxed.
Excellent. Mam I want to follow your videos from the begining. I have some knowledge of karnatic music and your video made new enthusiasm to start again.please guide

What kind of systametic way u r talking about can u please explain,my daughter 9 yrs practice clasici singing, how to calm down after practice,n what to do on daily basis
Beautiful class. Please talk more about singer's breathing exercises Madam. Mathew from ALUVA. Pls don't stop the classes. Am just a devotional singer.
Since u hv talked about the mistakes. We expect you to make videos on how to rectify those mistakes.. Like right technique of usinf jaw, how to cool down the voice after practice, what food can b avoided dt cn damage throat n so on.. That will b really helpful for us 🙏 :)
Very nice Madam. Thanks a lot ❤️. Will you please share guidance regarding breathing techniques or the zone of songs where to take breathe especially for Bollywood songs.
Thanks mam atleast I have got a hope from where to start. Just watched to videos but now I am expecting I will get to know music better and deeper. I am a beginner hardly 3-4 weeks of regular practice. I have gained some confidence in music by playing all alankars in sitar. I wish to put same efforts in singing. Typing a big message so I get a reflection on what am I planning to do thanks again.
Very nice! Also I have learned that the song has to flow from the chest accompanied by relaxation. Many people maintain tightness in the throat, which is very negative...also anxiety and tension.
Mam i want to know if we do 2 hrs reeyaz then after how long we should practice on singing songs.... Like after reeyaz i do rest for about 25 minutes and practice on singing songs... I sing very good in sur but sometimes in between it feels like somewhere i can't touch the high note or murki or harkat clearly ya flexibly .... But when I don't do practice for suppose i haven't practiced in the morning then if i do practice on singing songs , i feels that i m singing much perfect then whenever i do practice after reeyaz....
Amazing! Only one more, which was missed, and that s how how ur tongue is placed and how u r using ur throat, adding too much stress using the wrong technique
While singing a song sometimes my tone moves out from the scale. I practice your first 3 exercises on a regular basis what should I do basically to sing every note perfectly?.
@prathibha mam.. It ia good to make us to realise our mistakes during singing. Your app have enormous amount of videos. But this may be not auitable for every one ? are u taking any home classes which i can enroll my name for voice culture training? I am just want to know how i am singing and mistakes while i am doing singing.🤔🤔

Someone said breathe as a baby does. Breathing should basically be involuntary. Don't DO breathing. Let breathing happen. Babies don't do Pranayam or any other technique. They don't even know they're breathing. That's why they're so healthy. Also, when taking in air to sing the next notes or syllables, use your mouth and not nostrils, especially if the tempo is medium to high. That's why it's important to avoid having a full stomach when singing. You should feel light yet have a decent sugar level when you start singing.
Thank you so so much for ur valuable tips in ur videos,I really love the way you teach,i don't know carnatic music but I really love to learn, it's my dream, can I pls know if u can take any online classes as I really fell in love with ur way of teaching,I feel u r the best
