    Hi Julissa, they are both very good straighteners/styling flat irons, but the GHD only has 1 heat setting at 365’f but your curly side I feel you would struggle to get the super curly roots completely flat, hence why the Lucea id straighteners are better in my mind as a qualified and licensed cosmetologist. You put all of your hair type and texture and if it is color treated or if it’s virgin hair which your hair is and that is why it gave you 410’f because you need the extra heat for your hair type. And the smoke that you are seeing is only the Chi heat protectant hun and it’s not your hair burning, trust me! 😊. So in my opinion the best tool is the Lucea ID styling tool. Sending you lots of hugs and kisses xoxoxo

  • @mishjay5262
    @mishjay5262 3 роки тому +11

    I'd suggest people with curly hair to blow dry their hair while its wet with a round brush and nozzle attach then you over with a flat iron. You hair will look smoother and lighter. When you go straight in with a flat iron on culry hair it tends to weight the hair down and the roots don't come out as smooth. Just a tip:)

      @@Muslimah33 you're actually frying your hair more by trying to straighten your curly hair. When it's blown out smoothly u don't have to flat iron the same piece of hair over and over to get it straight. A flat iron is way more damaging than a hairdryer. I owned a ghd for nearly a decade. Had it fixed once. It was great. Decided to upgrade to Cloud nine and wow they are amazing and way better then the ghd. It has temp control and left my hair sleeker then the ghd. Pricey tho. Still going strong after 3 years.

    I got the t3 and love it. The first swipe snagged my hair but then I realized I didn’t need to death grip it like my years old straightener. Gets so sleek and shiny in one pass. I almost ordered the t3 single pass because my hair is long and wanted a faster iron that worked as good as this one.
    My only issue is that I don’t know what heat setting the iron is on. I set it at normal thickness and long hair. I have coily 4a hair. I looked it up and the book and it’s 370. Maybe I should have gotten the ghd if it lasts longer and is basically the same setting that works well for me on the t3.

    GHD has always been overrated. Super expensive and they never give you heat control, even 15 years ago it was exactly the same.

Like how is T3 cracking already yeah the materials need to be upgraded to with stand the elements of every day usage especially with a high price tag all though the warranty is very good to it’s just the hassle of returning.
