I'm from ikoyi Lagos, I have lived in London most of my life. But I went to university in Zaria, close enough to Jo's. We went Jos quite a bit. I have always firmly believed its the most beautiful natural place the whole of Nigeria
I promised myself that if I was to live in Nigeria again it would be in Jos.
My friends' family are from Lantang. I was so taken by the fences made out of cactus surrounding the houses in the countryside.
My friend lived on a high hill top. You have to wear jumpers and jackets in the Harmatan season. I even wore boots! Anyway We got there on a Fri day, woke up on the Saturday morning, opened the front door and I could not believe what it looked like outside. We were inside a low cloud. I mean literally in the clouds! Wow! It took my breathe away. The rocks, the climate, the frost. It just didn't feel like I was in Nigeria. The grapes, the potatoes, giant tomatoes, apples, vegetables. It is just a very pleasant place to visit. The people are also friendly

That being said, the elected leaders need to make sure there's security, internet and other modern basic amenities. Nigerians will tour the whole of Nigeria and Africa join.

@@femi6493 Which is why it makes me so sad that Nigeria is so neglected outside of urban epicenters (Lagos, Abuja, etc...). But this is not a solely Nigerian problem many African countries have this same problem. When we think to travel, we think outside. You will even have Africans more willing to visit poorer non African countries than their own neighbouring countries. My own aunt in Togo doesnt set foot in the North because that is where her tribe is from so why go there, that is her attitude.
As africans we really don't know each other and many of us don't bother to know each other on a deeper level whether in be nationally or intercontinental and as a result foreigners enjoy africa more than we do.

I have lived in Jos for five years now, and no city annoys me as much as this city. No city in Nigeria, I mean, no city in Nigeria has as much potential as Jos. The resort and the 10 commandments are just a few of the amazing places you can find here. There are about a hundred more clear water locations like that all over the state.
Perhaps one of the major tourist potential is the road to Shendam, one of the local governments in the state. The hills are so so beautiful and gigantic and well spread out. Obudu didn’t have this much and they turned it into a paradise of some sort.
I pray Jos reaches 10 percent of its potential soon. That figure I know, is enough to make it one of the most profitable states in Nigeria in terms of investments opportunities.

I don't agree that people only come out at night or weekends to relax lol, it's because there is nothing to do there. There is a phrase that goes "build it and they will come". Capetown built it, Mombasa kenya built it, Dubai built it, miami built it and that is why people go there week days and weekends to stay at the hotels, sky dive, boat ride, surf or just tan in the sun. We need to build and patronize our land.

Sometimes less is more. Yes tourism is great but it will.be great if this place is kept as a nature reserve without ruining the scenery. Tourism shouldn't always be tall hotel buildings. I think it will be a shame for this place not to look this peaceful and quiet in a few years. Again another great content Tayo.

@@imperialkingdom4821 very much a peaceful city. Commence and tourism has returned. However, there is a little sceptism concerning security, which to me should not exist. The State Government should be actively involved in sensitizing Nigerians about the investment opportunities which abound in the State. It would go a long way (Akwa Ibom comes to mind!).
Jos is safe! You are invited. 😃
