Thanks man! Agreed. It's all really nice stuff. I'm at 3 pieces now... just got my first pair of denim. A liiiitttle snug, but they should stretch a bit. Need to get them dropped off at the tailor. 36" inseam is not for me. HAH!
@@rockymtnstyle I had the same problem initially with the 777 cut. I learned the hard way that I’m an 888 cut guy. 30” waist and 24” thighs makes it tough to find a good fit!
Hah!! Yeah the Muskular part would make sizing difficult I bet. I got my 777s in 33 and 34 would have been perfect right now, but I'm on a slow grind down... Trying to get to 175... Sitting 184 or so right now.
Hey bro! Really appreciate you signing up for the membership thing. You're the 1st! It became available when I got to 1,000 subs and I had no idea what to do with it, so I just set it up basically. Lemme know if you ever wanna chat about anything and I got you.
I saw this in your last video and I was like wow, searching to see if you reviewed it already, so happy to see this. It’s really rich looking and I’m sure the compliments are genuine.
Thanks for the kind comment! Really appreciate it! Yeah - I knew I had to knock a video out on this bad boy! Probably one of my top 3 picks up of 2023 I'd guess.
Nice breakdown of this jacket. In all the Iron Heart digging I've done, I still wasn't sure exactly what whipcord was. It just looked like a small tight woven corduroy .
Nice macro close ups. I have the same jacket and I really love mine, but mine has pockets. Maybe it's a previous seaon's model. I would miss the pockets for my hands for sure though.
Don’t knock whipcord pants till you try em. They don’t stretch much but are pliable & very comfortable. I have the IH/Division Road collab cargos from a couple seasons back and they’re amazing. That pair alone sparked my jungle cloth addiction. Since then I’ve acquired the indigo type 3 in whipcord, whipcord camp shorts and a a-2 jacket. Jungle Cloth/Whipcord is an amazing fabric that does indeed patina with wear.
Great video Patrick, very helpful . I find that with Iron heart you really have to watch the sizing . Sometimes the measurements according to their sizing charts are inconsistent. They are slightly smaller or larger it really depends on the cut . But this is a cool jacket . Can you do a video on the Triple Aught Design Interval Selvedge Denim Jacket if you happen to buy one .. But again thanks for the information
Glad you found it helpful! Great points about sizing, for sure. And yeah - if I ever find myself looking at or buying a Triple Aught, you can be sure there will be a vid!
I get it. I have too many pairs of pants , too many pairs of boots and way too many shirts and jackets, but it’s what we do. lol. Love the channel. Keep the coming.
YESSIR! That's why I really like running this channel and being in this community... even if we don't obsess over the EXACT same stuff, we all obsess over kinda the same stuff. :)
There is one just like that one that I really like the difference is the collar is brown and the jacket has pockets. Unfortunately, they are out of stock.
I really like the jacket. I love heirloom or heritage style clothing. I've looked to iron heart several times and what has kept me from pulling the trigger is not the price it's their Japanese sizes. I'm a bigger guy and I take a bigger size. How did you find their sizing to be for you?
Thanks for the comment, Jeremy! So for this one it wasn't too crazy. I've heard of people taking like XXL when they normally wear M or something . I'm normally M or L, and I got XL in this. The chest size for this XL is 22.5" (45" around). I'm about 43.5" in the chest measure and usually need something around 44.5"-45" to be comfortable on me. So for this, it hit the marks spot on. There isn't a ton of variation going up the scale, though. For example going to an XXXL from XL only gets you 1.3 more inches on the measure (22.5 to 23.8). I think that's what probably makes things wonky... the lack of big jumps in the size range. So even the biggest, the XXXXL is 24.4" chest and that's like an XL in most brands. ALSO - the UHF I have, it's a L. Which is right in norms for me (M or L). However, I've seen other UHFs that had wildly different sizing, so it's really down to whether or not you like the measurements piece by piece. If you buy from the IH official website, they have a customer service rep reach out to you before shipping to make sure you understand the sizing. I think it's worth the gamble... it's really nice stuff! And if you don't like the fit, you can always send it back and not be out too much time or money.
@@rockymtnstyle Thank you so much for your in depth response. I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate it, that has become a rare thing in the land of UA-camrs and influencers. I was a pretty big Filson fan, however here lately I feel they just keep going up and up on their prices I love my mackinaw cruiser don't get me wrong and I'm quite sure it will far out-live me. I think I will get a shirt and see how it goes. I want to thank you again.
My pleasure! I honestly started this channel because I like chatting with folks and doing my best to help when called upon. If you end up getting a shirt lemme know what you go for! 😎
Yeah I like it to. It looks good on you. It's to expensive though. Their military jackets are great but their prices are crazy, but if they can get then good for them.
Love iron heart stuff but still can’t justify the price in my head. lol. $375 seems like a lot of money for a trucker jacket. Looks great on ya though !!!!!
Thanks man! I do like. And you're right, and I get it. It is a lot. I guess this is the definition of a "luxury" purchase. Don't really NEED it, but WANT it. :)
I love this jacket. I own a dozen iron heart pieces and they are all worth the price in my opinion. You can’t beat the quality.

Stop tempting me with all the cool jackets you have been showing Patrick. Love the color.
Oh, my friend, the temptation shall continue!
Nice breakdown of this jacket. In all the Iron Heart digging I've done, I still wasn't sure exactly what whipcord was. It just looked like a small tight woven corduroy .
Yeah, pretty much! Now I need to go and re-learn how they weave corduroy... maybe it's closer than we realize.
Looks great, I always liked the look of these as an alternative to selvage denim. I like the colors too.
Thanks, Michael! Totally agree. Denim has its place but I find stuff like this usually more up my alley. 👍

Thx, V! Yeah... I think you are right. I think either/or id probably prefer pockets too, but I figure I've got room for one oddball in my collection!

OK fair enough! Thanks for the info! Cheers, mate!
Yet another cool jacket, thanks Patrick.
Im flush with choices! Pretty sure that was the last jacket video until fall though. Thx, man!

Yeah that seems to happen often!
So do you think i should wait until the black Friday sales? Do they have any?
That’s a great jacket, Patrick. Definitely noticed it in your 8111 video. Fits you great and I love olive.
Thanks, JC! Appreciate that. Olive is a great color. Hard for it not to match an outfit made of random neutral and early tones!
Does the jacket have a tag in the inside? Can I see it, please?
Yeah - what is your email? I'll send you a Pic in a few days when I'm back home.
I noticed that some of them don't have a tag on them. I just don't want to buy a fake one.

fewer better things. Looks great on you. Deck jacket is up next. 🤑
Ahh thanks! I'd be lying if I said I hadn't looked at it. Perhaps next fall!
I think the pants would be a bit uncomfortable bc of the lack of stretch in the fabric.
Yeah, agreed. i also think they would drape funny and look odd when sitting and everything is all bunched up.
That thing is sweet ❤
It fits a certain niche, we'll say!

Fair enough.
