- A quick demo of some of the choices that I make when mixing my pallet.
Do this experiment for yourself with whatever brand of "ink" that you use.
One that I should have demoed is a brown.... fill a cap with yellow, 1 drop of blue, 1 drop of red... mix and adjust as necessary. As always, I like to add white as well.

Borrowed Particles what ink did you use?
hey would you please tell me what you think would happen to a sea green or light green tattoo if you try to cover it up with a light brown.... i'll subscribe :)
daniel Aj It will be somewhere between a lighter brown and an olive green. If it’s on the green side, just do a second session with a slightly darker brown.
@@KaydenDiGiovanni hmm... i see you'r in texas i would have booked at ur shop... do you have an instagram ?
This was the most efficient video on ink mixing I've seen. Great job! Would love to se a picture version of this, kinda like a colour scheme with the different amount of drops going in the the different caps just to get a nice and clear overview.
That primary yellow that you talk about is bright orange. 🧡
that yellow is like a sunflower yellow of an eternal ink brand thats a nice for mixxing collors and cannary yellow too that is dark of a yellow i gues that is primary color of a yellow
I don’t know if it’s just me but I see the “yellow” as orange.....
Matan Lalo Yeah, their yellow is slightly orange. Not like a canary yellow.

Same
But I'm colored blind
I see gold

Light frost pink for lips? Pink 1 dip then dip in white?
Hello Mr! First of all, thanks a lot for this video, it’s been very useful!
I want to buy my first tattoo inks and do my own mixings, but I can’t find this brand. I’ve been thinking on buying Intenze inks but I’m not sure about wich colors to choose. Could you help me with this? I’d be sooo grateful 🥺
I’m between:
Bright Red, Lemon Yellow and Mario’s Blue... OR... Ruby Red, Golden Yellow, Royal blue
Wichs one would you chose?
For white I’ll go with Dynamic White.
Thanks in advance! Hope this helps somebody else! Thank you!
very thanks!

Excellent video ! My only advice is turn the tv off in the background for maximum focus
Thank you
I appreciate this videos I learned so much. I see how to make colors lighter, but what if I wanna get darker shades of the color ? I don't always like doing a black undertone then putting the color over it because it looks muddy so I wanna know how to make the color darker
Sooo helpful and so well explained thanks so much brother!! “I should have put some music on for you guys it’s probably boring as shit” 😂 nah man I’m glad you didn’t

put a little bit of yellow into a blue cap easyer to get turquise
thank you thank you Sir
Blue and pink make purple.. So if i tattoo a bright blue over pink will it change to purple?
Michael Myers 2 answers. Not necessarily. And maybe a little bit. Generally when putting a darker pigment over a lighter one, the darker will prevail. But under close examination, it would probably be more purple than it would have been naturally. The opposite is more true... if you tattooed an area bright blue, and then blended a layer of pink on top of it, it would be much more purple. But as a rule, if you are shooting for purple, mix the right color in your cap. These colors blending in the skin are good to consider when doing a cover up though. Trying to cover a pink tattoo with blue, you will end up with a pretty blue tattoo. Trying to cover a blue tattoo with pink, you would end up with a pretty purple tattoo.
Youre GREAT man appreciate you .
What two colors of ink make the best gold color ink for tattoos?

Thanks sir,it helped me so much..:)
Keep going on with your clips.
S.Z. Z. Thank you! I’m glad that it helped!
Would you please tell me something about teqnike?
Is it possible for you in a few word to say the difference between shading(b&g) and colour work?
I'm tattooing only in b&g at the moment..flicking and brushing is my style..never worked with circular motions..is it a must have to work in cicular motions?
Is it better to ride the tube for accurate colour packing?what do you think?
Thankfull greetings from berlin,sir :)
I also looked at your rose tattoo video..i think i can work the same like my b&g style with colours..
I'm layering my values i b&g like you do it with colour..
Maybe i have to run faster because of the thicker inks.. ?
S.Z. Z. The big difference is the skin showing though on a B&G piece, means that your shading has to be super smooth. So I actually slow down a lot for black and gray. Both to slowly concentrate on every value, but also to not have the skin turn super red. If you tattoo with opaque grays, then there is no difference at all in technique from a color tattoo. Slow down, add a few drops of white to your gray wash caps, use bug pin mags, and a machine with a short stroke, and you should have smooth black and gray if you are careful and consider every hand movement.
Ok thanks you very much..that will help me a lot,i will give it a try.
I also repeat your colour theory for practising, that saves me a lot of money ;)
I'm always looking for different ways to archieve my goals..i think most of the tattoo artist fuck up the skin very badly with their circular deep motions, thats why i stayed away from colour work at the beginning..
But layering like you said is exactly my drawing style with coloured pencils i will practise it. :)
That yellowy whiteish green is called tennis ball
don bod Nice.
i was gonna say spearmint but tennis ball works too
Hi, i have a question, I just got a tattoo, it’s a guitar with a red strap and i noticed after that the strap is a too dark shade of red, is there any way to save that without laser removal or am i screwed? i’m going back to fix some other small things tomorrow but i’m scared to tell my tattoo artist that i’m not happy with the color on the strap... i would really appreciate an answer and some help thanks.
Yes sir , you got er down path keep it up
Would a good name for the yellowey/white green be either: venom/snake venom, acid green, or day glow yellow?
Greetings from Brazil man! You help me a lot, thank you :D
MeuSkyDrive Hey that’s great, I’m glad to help!

Thanks for the lesson
Thx brother great video 💯💯💯🖊🖊🖊👑
This is really helpful, how do you make the color dark red?
sheila manoe There are 2 ways, depending on the look that you are going for. Add a tiny bit of dark green, or a really tiny amount of black to your red.
@@KaydenDiGiovanni thank you! I appreciate it
Add some navy blue to Make it a dark maroon
@@miunya how to make skin colored ink?I'm mixed race
Very nice thank you 🙏🏻! May I ask what is the brand of those primary colors?
Keyvan Goodarzi Alla Prima.
Borrowed Particles thanks 🙏🏻
Are they really pure hues? I mean the red has no blue or yellow? Or blue is has no green in it? The yellow seems has a bit red( orange) ????? I need real pure 3 primaries please help
Keyvan Goodarzi That’s a question for the manufacturer.
That’s the other name of cyan?
DUDE!!!!!! I LOOOOOOOVE THE INTRO!!!!! :) This is suuuuper informative!!! You are a true master of your craft!!!!
Arent u supposed to mix ur primary w secondary to accomplish tertiary colors? Red with orange to create the red-orange for example
DreamDiaryTV Thats am easy way to teach color mixing. And an easy way to think about it at first. But once you understand it, then that process is wasting time. It’s a learning method.
For example. You want to make Red Orange. Let’s pretend it’s 1 drop of red to 10 drops of yellow to get orange. Then you add a half drop of red to the orange to make Red Orange. So once you understand that, you would just add 1.5 drops to the 10 drops of yellow.

Awesome video man! Keep them coming.
Jeremy Wullaert Thanks man!
What did you used to mix the inks and also, I dont see many people talking about sanitation while using ink cups. Do you have any opinions about that?
