I literally yelled "thank you!" when he made the comment about the pizza standoffs also working. (I've used those in the past, and people thought it was weird.)
I would say to make them more functional is to rout out an indentation in the form of a circle to keep the drips on the coaster rather than running off onto the table.
Tim Adcox in this video, the coasters come out to be about 5/8”. On my newer ones, they’re around 1/4”. I like the look of the thinner ones. Same process, just shallower cuts.
Awesome idea.
That was a really cool and simple idea for some coasters!!
Looks like a great project for a beginner which is what I am. I started screwing around with epoxy yesterday but I am pretty sure I can make this.
Those are gorgeous dude! I would love to have those for sure!!!
Design and color turned out nice - well done.
Nice job and well explain.
GREAT video - thanks very much. This will make excellent Christmas gifts this year.
Damn, I need that table 😮
These are really nice!!!! Great job. Wish I knew how to use all of these tools. I have a million and one ideas, but no ability to make them a reality.
Nice job, cool coasters! Do some cutting boards next...
That’s sick looking man! Love this video!
Like it a lot. I bet you could use curly maple with blue epoxy and it would look sharp as well.
They look great! Awesome job. Subscribed!

Dude.. those are awesome coasters! Love the video as well. You got yourself a new subscriber;)
Great Idea! Do you have any problems with the moisture in the wood interacting with the epoxy?
Good job 👍
Well done.From Cyprus
Good work.
Simple and beautiful 👍👍
Thank you for the video. Well done. 👍
really nice work
Neat coasters
Could you
Just sand if you don’t have a planer?
Looking to make some coasters myself.. just curious how the finish has held up, assuming they have been in use. Do drinks leave a ring?
No rings yet. Certain cups get stuck to them sometimes. Also trying out odies oil on them too and really like it.
Amazing!

Genius
Badass!
I do not have access to a planner, or nice router, any suggestions on the planner? Thx
A Drum Sander would work.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
What is the thickness of the wood?

talzy007 I use a torch. I must not have filmed or added that clip by accident.
It looks like a plexus of brain neurons.
