I wanted a chandelier over my tub but my contractor said that is so dangerous (electric shock) and hardily recommended against it. I had him mount it in the center of the room and it looks beautiful.
If you have a chandelier over a tub, it needs to be high enough so a person cannot reach it while standing in the tub. This is per code. Most ceilings are not high enough to have a chandelier and comply with code.
Hmm, there seems to be more to what he was saying. People do put lights over tubs all the time. Was it a low ceiling?

Congratulations on getting your play button! The designs look beautiful! I would also like to know the actual cost estimates and time frame for labor of doing these changes to the room. Moving walls, plumbing, electrical, expanding windows, changing doors, proper tile job in shower…. It just seems more of a dream than possible reality to most families. Thank you.

She may need to DIY a lot of it, time is the luxury of the DIY home owners. I'm in awe of what Colby and I have been able to accomplish in the last 26 years. Having a good plan is the first step.

Watching the process was so much fun and you saved the best for the last, a fireplace-view from the tub in addition to a large window. Perfect! And, I think decreasing the size of the WC and substituting a pocket door would make the fireplace area more spacious and the whole bathroom even 'Perfecter'.
