Catching Mutton Snapper in the Abacos with Gemlux

In today's video, we are back in the Abacos for mutton snapper fishing with the Gemlux team. Before, we were on the big Viking boat but today, we are on the Yellowfin with Ash and Jerry. I'm used to slow trolling for kingfish or dropping down for mutton snapper but trolling for mutton snapper is a first for me. We were slow trolling ballyhoo at about 2mph. The ballyhoo was rigged with a small chin weight. When’s Fish would bite we would drop back on the fish, count to 10, and then ease the drag forward. We caught some great fish and had a fun time!

other than the keys i don't know of many shallow areas around south florida that will produce muttons like that.
