You can't have a new Stargate series without David Hewlett!!!! Would love to see "Rodney McKAY" back on the little screen! Graphene batteries changes everything: Phones, laptops, E-Cars/bikes, solar power battery banks, etc. It may not be as efficient as a ZPM (Zero Point Module), but it's a leap in the right direction! ;)

I love how David (Hewlett) talks so freely as himself during these interviews and doesn't put on a persona like many actors (understandably) do. (Unless he's fooled me and this is him acting not acting, if so, good acting, some of his best, very convincing!). It makes him feel more human and relatable to us mere everyday non famous people. Great interview as always David (Read), keep them coming.

Watching these guys in 1.25 speed takes this from funny to hilarious - especially when DH laughs, it's just enough Alvin & The Chipmunks to be giggle worthy while still being understandable :D
I think we are due for a complete and utter revolution to the way we as a species, let alone society think and deal with education and schooling. The rate at which technology is evolving along with it's inevitable repercussions to jobs, industries and entire professions, dictates we need a radical shift away from standard notions of schooling being so confined to certain ages; and instead adopt a lifelong education system. For example starting say at 15, you would shift from full time 5 days a week in the classroom, to 4 days with the 5th either at an internship, apprenticeship, or employed etc and than based on age, specialty, aptitude, field of study, yadda yadda yadda, as you go through life the ratio changes, but with few exceptions at no point are you not in someway involved with education. Even if it's teaching a couple classes one day a week, instead of being a student for stretches of time, before needing to take some classes yourself to stay current in your given profession or perhaps needing to learn a whole new one because yours is dying off.
Ooooh in regards with the ZPM, I love the idea brought forth in the fan fiction titled Return of the Ancients. Without spoiling it, I don't think the production of them within the city makes any sense. Otherwise, why abandon the city? The ideas put forth in that fan project were exciting and made a lot of sense.
The Best Characters are those that are meant to be "disliked", but through proper character growth, they become the most loved ones. Rodney and next Prime example: Ashoka Tano from CW. You know why? It is very relatable ... But tell that to today's cinema that pushes superficial Marry Sues and Joes ...
@Dial the Gate, @David Read -- Is there a way to change the video rectangle size and proportion for two or more people in the video conference? I've noticed when guest stars lean to one side, they go out of frame sometimes. Not their fault, since the un-cropped window shows them fine. Maybe 5% or 10% more horizontal width would let the host and guests have enough room so everyone's face stays in the shot? Just wondering, I have no idea how you do that.
Comparing this to the previous Hewlett interview I must say I am impressed with the improved camera of David's and the improved robot. But... what about his electronic chair? Discerning fans want to know ha ha 😎 ~Edit~ Chair is at 1:20:33 ha ha
He is so right about MGM, they are awful at merch. We have zero Stargate merch. Pop has woeful brands that sell less than a Stargate set would. It's MGM. If Funko could get SG-1 they would. They'd sell bucket loads for people to get signed at cons. Not to mention we don't have action figures, statues, etc. Look at Star Trek and Star Wars.
Some actors/characters are just the glue of a programe, yer man there is one of them. Atlantis probably would have been pretty shit honestly without his input.

Sorry to break it to you, there is no way to extract that much CO2 out of the atmosphere to make a dent. Unless you're using nuclear power plants your carbon footprint extracting a kilogram of CO2 out of the atmosphere is higher than yield. So it's not making the world greener, it's still using conventional means of extracting CO2. That being said going away from lithium ion batteries would be great as those require rare earth minerals that have a limited supply and are terrible for the environment to mine.
David is soo right. MGM sucks at merchandise. The fans on Etsy make better items. If MGM were able to replicate the same kind of quality items, than they would sell so many.
maybe building a cpm was too much of a risk to do it in the city, even in the planet, once build is stable but the procese of building it its dangerous and has to be done elsewhere
Crypto isn't gambling, but it can be considered as gambling when stupid ppl invest as the bubble goes up, because when the bubble bursts and you didn't get out in time, all that money is lost until to goes up again. Just as long as your not one of the guy's who thinks "all or nothing" you are setting yourself up for failure if you wait too long. And it's something you can't predict because it's based off of ppl putting more into it, some ppl are stupid and will put all of their assets into it as it's raising in value. But if you use common sense of "buy low sell high" within reason and not putting all your funds in it, you will only lose as much as you put in, however there is a chance that the value will go back up again into the future.

The kind of mercg that would excite me is like the stuff in the background of your video. Maybe even give the details to the dude who created the Destiny model set up a deal with him to create these things and you get a cut because you talk about them on your channel or something. I would love to order an training staff weapon prop.

I've been re-watching SG1 so I enjoy these interviews very much and they are a great companion to the series. Thank you very much Dial the Gate.
SG1 doesn't work without Daniel Jackson. Similarly, Stargate Atlantis doesn't work without Rodney Mckay. David is a joy to watch in his element.
