Most drummer don’t look lmao. After 3-5 years of playing any instrument or even after a couple years you could play without looking. I’ve been playing bass, drums, guitar and synth for over 7 years and it’s rlly not that hard
This song is about a tormented romance where he's much more invested than the woman is. Specifically, if was about Kurt's relationship at the time with a bass player named Tobi Vail. He was smitten and from her point of view they're just hanging out and hooking up and it's not a big deal. He wrote "I love you so much, you make me sick" because he would get so nervous before seeing her that he threw up. She wasn't really into steady boyfriends at the time and got bored of the whole thing and moved on. He took it very, very hard, and it was also about the time he started using heroin. In his journals he would write about 'heroine'- as in a female hero- to refer to his girlfriend or his drugs, interchangeable. It was drug withdrawals making him puke, not just Tobi. "She keeps it pumping straight at my heart" at the end could mean drugs or his feelings for Tobi or it could even be both.
@@smizdeazy He wrote more than one song about Tobi. Lounge Act is the only song about Tobi on Nevermind. Aneurysm dates from the time he and Tobi were dating. His habit was not so bad at that time, but he started using about the same time as he started seeing her. In his journal, he often likens the two of them and compares Tobi to heroin.
It's pretty straight forward, come on over let's shoot some shit, over do it and have a fit, love you so much it makes me sick (every heroin addict has "stomach problems"), beat me out of me, pumping straight to my heart. If ever there was a song clearly about heroin... Earlier versions don't have the " do the twist" only "shoot shit", don't read so much in to it, it's right there in your face.

Once you listen to Incesticide and all of Nirvana's other music, this song fits right in. D7, Moist Vagina, Mexican Seafood, Floyd the Barber, Dive, Even in His Youth, Old Age, Oh The Guilt
I've said this before and I'll say it again. I'm not just saying this because I grew up in 90s but there's a reason why 50s,60s,70s,80s and 90s music is still played today and still fits. It's relatable, understandable and true. Music released nowadays(2010+) just can't compete. Do you really think we will still be playing these artists/music 20, 30, 40+ years from now? I seriously doubt it. But we'll still be listening to 50s,60s, 70s, 80s(if we can) but definitely 90s music for many years to come. Classics never die.
You hit the nail on the head ♡ Music relies on sexuality for sales nowadays, I mean being a attractive front person with loads of talent was always a plus, however nowadays it is only about looks and sex. Shit this song brings me back to 10th grade lol ♡ Great review thank you
Nirvana's NeVeRmInD had only been out for a month and the venue was booked months ahead of time. There were crowds around the building trying to get in and the band didn't even know the label had set up this filming. They were very tired and Kurt was very grumpy from the tour. This was their "homecoming" show in Seattle on Halloween. Edit: Don't try to understand his lyrics too intensely sometimes, he liked to use random poetry and deliberately wanted the listener to interpret them how they may. "Come on over and shoot the shit" wasn't just about conversing with a friend though.
There’s a few different versions of this song with minor differences....check out the (Aneurysm B-Side) for a different take. It’s slowed down with a great Cobain scream at the end!
Kurt Cobain actually had a fascination with medical supplies so that’s a really good observation! He actually made art out of the medical supplies he collected. If you look at the cover of his last album “in utero” it’s actually a transparent anatomical manikin with angel wings superimposed on it. That was Kurt’s art work! Great reaction!
Speaking of medical conditions Kurt had chronic stomach issues. The doctors couldn't figure it out. A lot of times when you see him bending over or on his knees during a performance he was in extreme pain. A book to check out Kurt Cobain journals. I am of the few that think it was suicide.
Still think most feel it was suicide. I just think there's more to it with Courtney there and how she gained the estate when she was set to lose a lot against Kurt in the divorce. The fact Frances boyfriend claimed she tried to have him kidnapped and killed doesn't surprise me. All over a guitar.
Bro, literally the best nirvana reaction I’ve ever seen!! Ps. Have you ever reacted to I Prevail the band? If not checkout Bow Down, Gasoline, or DOA. All great songs. ✌️
I'M WRITING THIS IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE IF YOU HONESTLY LIKED THIS LIVE CONCERT, YOU WILL LOVE THE WHOLE THING You will also love Live and Loud. It is from the In Utero Tour and it kicks ass Live Nirvana is the best music and the best you'll ever hear Nirvana.
great take on music, alot if people refuse to listen and criticize. people just stay in their bubble and use hate as a justification, when in reality it has no voice or value. more people should just enjoy it for what it is instead of hating it for what it isnt
I’m so in love with you reviewing Nirvana, I love your reactions 😍 I’ve been a nirvana fan for sooooo long. Part of this song is about shooting up, “come on over and shoot the shit,” then “she keeps a pumping straight to my heart.” Meaning Kurt’s drug of choice, heroin. Props from Australia ✊🏽
As an American caucasian, what I've discovered at least for me in watching these reaction videos where black people who are rap fans listen to rock bands for the first time, i really feel like they appreciate music more than say caucasians do. What i mean is, black people can listen to a different genre from what their favorite genre and sincerely appreciate it. They listen to the entirety of a song and don't try to convince me hip hop is so much better for this reason or that reason. No, they just appreciate it for what it is and actually appreciate it. I really feel like that's something i can learn from. I hate most rap but i will say, there are a select few that i have so much respect for and can't deny the talent they have. It isn't easy to do what Pac, Biggie, Dre, NWA, beastie boys, Em, hopsin, Nf, Tom Macdonald, do musically. There's a few more for me but these rappers are amazing artists. Maybe it's time, i give this genre an actual go at really listening and appreciating the talent involved. Much like this dude did with my favorite band Nirvana.
