what or who actually defines good or bad karma? If there is no sin, then does this mean there is no good or evil? If there is no true good and evil then there can be no need for balance as everything is neutral and impersonal with no ultimate resolution other than everything going as it is.
Just like there are no positive or negative charges in physical particles there are no intrinsically good or bad actions. Positive and negative, good and bad are merely agreed upon conventions given their opposite nature--"good" leads to benefitial results for beings (mutual happiness and development towards Awakening); "bad" leads to detrimental results for beings (mutual unhappiness and retrocess on the path to Awakening). Bear in mind, there is no real individuality, only a temporary one through which individual karma manifests. We are all interconnected on some level--if someone benefits, everybody benefits; if someone is hurt, everybody is hurt; if someone benefits at the expense of others, it is no real benefit.
We have only one life here on Earth. Anything bad that happens to you is a consequence of each of us having a conscience and a free will. If someone harms you, then that's NOT your fault. That's the fault of the person who harmed you. Please don't fall for the false belief that you are suffering from the mistakes of a past life. We are all imperfect creatures who naturally make mistakes at times. So, what's the logical conclusion of Buddhism? A living hell in which we keep reincarnating and living lives of suffering because of mistakes in past lives. We can't atone for our own errors. Dirty clothes can't make themselves clean. Dirty people like us can't clean ourselves to perfection. We need something else to cleanse us. That's where Jesus Christ comes in. God loves us all so much that He sent His only begotten son to be a sacrifice. Jesus lived a perfect moral life here on Earth and was sacrificed on a cross, atoning for both my sins and yours. That sacrifice was not in vain. God loves you so much that He was willing to give up a part of Himself so that you could be made clean and rejoin His presence and His kingdom. That's beautiful. We all need Jesus (myself included). Please repent while there's still time. God loves you and doesn't want you to die without accepting Jesus Christ as your lord and savior. PLEASE don't spend eternity separate from God. There is eternal life in Heaven after this life here on Earth. Accept Jesus and He will accept you, my friend. May God continue to bless you. God created you for a diving purpose. God loves you. Please study and accept Jesus Christ into your life, my friend. Don't follow me, preachers, nor anyone else walking the Earth today. Follow the source: the one and only Jesus Christ. You will gain peace, clarity, and understanding ❤
There's no repentence no judge in Buddhism everything has to do with the law of nature dhamma... We r in a non stop cycle of rebirth called samsara & both of good & bad karma we did in our previous lives can come into effect anywhere anytime..... If u learn the Buddha's teachings get enlightened & stop the rebirth process by attacking nibbana that's how u can be freed from all karma
Samantha, I say the following not to infringe upon your beliefs, but to offer a friendly form of love about what I have found to be helpful and true: Repentance is necessary. Why? Because deep down, we know that there is genuine good and evil in this world. We each have a conscience and a free will. We know when there is justice and injustice. If there is truly good and evil, then who defines what is good and evil? Not you. Not me. Not popular opinion. The moral law was created by a moral God who set the standard for how humans should behave. If God sets a perfect moral standard for our lives and we fall short of that standard, then we have just performed what is known as sinning. If we sin and fall short of perfection, then we are separated from God's perfection and goodness. Does that sound horrible? It is. Well, here's the good news: God knows that we are imperfect creatures who continue to fall short of His perfect standard. He also knows that we can't atone for our sins on our own. Dirty clothes can't make themselves clean. Dirty people like us can't clean ourselves to perfection. We need something else to cleanse us. That's where Jesus Christ comes in. God loves us all so much that He sent His only begotten son to be a sacrifice. Jesus lived a perfect moral life here on Earth and was sacrificed on a cross, atoning for both my sins and yours. i hear only way to get rid of bad karma or demerit is to burn it in the hell from the soul untill you have less, but the question is does the hell also burnes the good karma or merit
This is what I think of it. Let's say you have both bad Karma and good Karma in a great amount . You'll probably suffer in hell due to bad Karma, and when you're done with it, you'll get to heaven. But there's no way to tell which one will come first or how long each. But there's probably another outcome. Let's say, you become a human in the world. You get really rich due to good Karma but you keep losing your belongings (getting stolen by thieves, fire, flood, natural disasters). That's what I think.
If the bad Karma is strong, hell is where the punishment will be and it will carry on in future lives until it depletes. However, you may fasten the process by doing more good Karma, which is more encouraging.

@@thisulwickramarachchi2380 imagine karma is a stone and you are a stone bag, bad karma is black stone and good karma is white stone no matter how many white stones you collect the black stones will not go away so it’s better not to collect black stones from the first place and always remember black stone is only removed by hell fire with your white stones so you get reset and the circle starts from a new, thats what buddah is teaching and only way to get out from this circle is to not collect any karma and enlightenment, if you collect white stones and no black stones you will only reincarnate in heaven and buddah says there is a place outside of this circle called singularity so your life and your choice
how do you account for rape, molestations of child or murder being done to a person. Is that person partly responsible because of their karma of past life. serious question here!
Yep.... There r many stories which happened in the Buddha's time & he explained why ppl get into troubles like that... The buddha cud see everyones past lives.... The reason ppl get raped or molested is because in their previous lives they committed sexual misconduct... Usually if sometime happens to u... U get the result in the similar manner.... One of the chief disciples of Buddha , Arhant moggalana who was enlightened got murdered by some thieves.... Many monks got sad by this & asked the buddha why he faced such an unfairness & horrendous death the buddha replied & said that nothing unfair happend & arhant moggalana in a previous life of his he murdered both his parents he got the karma for that.... in this cycle of rebirth karma is a justice given by nature to ppl's ctions from this life as well as previous lives.... Everything happens from a cause... victims if murder rape & various other troubles have done the same in previous lives.... So will the perpetrators face their karma in the future....
In general, when any Karma (action) is committed against any person, it creates a negative energy and Karmic relationship with that person. The negative energy will return to the doer in the form of different negative results to the doer’s life. The karmic relationship will bring about the cycle of retaliation and vengeance. Each party will revenge on the other until at least one party decides to forgive or when their vengeance is gone. Different types of abuses can be the result of the Karma that person committed in the past and the cycle of retaliation as mentioned. However, please always jump to conclusion that everything is the result of past Karma. There is also new Karma that the abuser just commits right now too. This may not be the case for anyone past Karma at all. It can be something totally new committed by an immoral person. That is why forgiveness is the key to escaping the cycle of vengeance and retaliation and the new abuser’s Karma serve him/her. In sum, although it can be the result of past Karma, there are always chances for someone to do bad things as their new Karma too.
Buddhism is baloney used to discredit God's love. God loves you. The actions that you listed are NOT the fault of the victim. They are simply the fault of the person who performed them. You are created beautifully and in the image of God. God gave each of us a conscience and a free will. When someone else uses their free will to harm you, they are not doing the will of God. When someone uses their free will to harm you, that is NOT your fault. 🌻 There is no bad karma from a past life. God created you with one life here on Earth. Yes, we are all *partially* made of energies. But you are not an accident. God created you for a purpose. You are special and unique, and you matter to God. God loves you. Jesus loves you. Please study the life of Jesus Christ, repent from your sin, and put your faith in Christ. Jesus loves you, sis ❤

It means bad karma leads to a negative next life that must be repaid like being in a bad state
If demerits are higher and stronger than merits. Yes, he/she will have to face negative things
